Thank you to BookSirens for allowing me the opportunity to read an ARC of "Kissing Games" by Evie Alexander. It is scheduled to be published on September 22nd, 2022.
Overall, I rated this novel 4/5 stars!
The book focuses on Valentina (an actress) and Charlie (a bodyguard). They had great banter, amazing chemistry as characters, and was one that I couldn't put down!
You will enjoy it if you love: *opposites attract *forced proximity *a cinnamon roll hero

Thank you so much to NetGalley for allowing me the opportunity to read an ARC of "Pride & Pina Coladas", written by Melanie Summers. It is scheduled to release on September 22nd, 2022.
Overall, I rated this novel a 4/5 stars!
This book focuses on Nora and Theo. Nora is an event planner/coordinator and Theo is desperately trying to save his family's owned liquor distillery. The two of them cross paths because Theo decides to hold a championship bartending competition. The novel takes place on a Carribean island, so it was the perfect book to read on the last day of summer here in the U.S.
It was really fun to read about the relationship between the two main characters. It was a feel-good, funny sort of rom com!

Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me the opportunity to read an ARC of "Someone Like You" written by Rachel Dove. It is scheduled to release on September 21st, 2022!
Overall, I rated the novel a 3.5/5 stars!
This book centers around Hannah and her young daughter Ava, who move to overcome physical abuse. Despite that there is some heavy information discussed throughout the novel, I feel as though it was dealt with and written well. This novel focuses on rebuilding a life for yourself where no one knows who you are or where you're from - a clean slate kind of perspective. She meets Brody, who is a cop - which is probably the best type of person for someone like Hannah to fall for, quite honestly.

Thank you so much to NetGalley for allowing me the opportunity to read an ARC of "Vanessa Jared's Got a Man", written by LaQuette. This novel was released on September 20th, 2022.
Overall, I rated this novel a 3.5/5 stars!
I will admit that this novel was not entirely what I expected, and that I did, in fact, judge a book by it's cover. Oops :) The fact that it was colorful and had diverse characters pictured on it was what drew me in. I was slightly taken aback by the fact that the main character was 40-something, because I am typically used to reading more about people between college-aged and close to 30's. However, that did not completely take away from my experience while reading the book.
She is newly divorced after 20 years of marriage and is trying to recover from the various forms of abuse that she has endured from her ex. She meets Michael in an unexpected way and ends up falling for him.

Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me the opportunity to read an ARC of "When In Rome", written by Sarah Adams. It is scheduled to release on September 20th, 2022!
Overall, I rated this novel a 4/5 stars!
When an overworked Amelia (Rae) Rose becomes too overwhelmed and burnt out, she decides to take a vacation to Rome (Rome, Kentucky, that is) She gets the idea from an Audrey Hepburn movie. Unfortunately, when she arrives, it is quite unceremoniously - as she winds up crashing her vehicle on Noah's front lawn. Mabel takes her in at her air B&B for two weeks while her car is getting repaired - she was an amazing character in the story as well!

Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me the opportunity to read an ARC of "Finding Gene Kelley" by Torie Jean. It is scheduled to release on September 20th, 2022.
Overall, I rated this novel a 4/5 stars!
We love the endometreosis and plus-sized representation! We love the fact that Evie married her neighbor at the ripe age of 5 years old, only to reconnect with him years later, only to fake-date! Also, the setting of the book is in Paris. Who wouldn't want to read a story like this? There puns and banter everywhere throughout this novel.

Thank you so much to the author @kristinewjoy for allowing me to read an ARC of "Stuck With My Ex's Best Friend" After reading her previous novella, I was highly anticipating the author's release of this next one. It centers around Emily, who is reeling from a low point in her life due in part to her ex-husband Martin. Matters only seem to be made worse when his best friend Silas is the one who picks her up. Also, the cabin she was expecting to live in hasn't been completed yet (and won't be finished for quite some time) If you enjoy any of the following tropes or themes, this is a novella for you! *forced proximity *grumpy vs. Sunshine *enemies to lovers *small town romance Overall, I rated this novel a 4/5 stars!

Thank you to BookSirens for allowing me to read an ARC of "Paradise Lost and Found", written by Jennifer Knightley. It is being released today, September 15th, 2022. I am voluntarily leaving this review.
Overall, I rated this novel a 4/5 stars!
The novel centers mainly around Adam, who has been recently left at the altar on his wedding day and is now treating himself to his honeymoon on his own - or so he thinks. When a hotel room mix-up goes awry, he finds himself rooming with the handsome Kip, who is there for two weeks to celebrate the wedding of his sister Becca, to Rob, her fiance' and soon-to-be husband.
This was really a sweet summer-y, slow-burn romance that has an LGBT theme to it. It  is set on a tropical island which makes it a perfect end-of-summer read!

Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read a copy of "The Make=Up Test", written by Jenny L. Howe. It was released on September 13th, 2022.
Overall, I rated this novel a 3/5 stars.
Read if you enjoy *academic rivals *second chance romance *enemies to lovers
Allison Avery and Colin Benjamin broke up two years ago, so she is surprised when he is in her graduate-level literature course. I had to take points off because the two of them are both incredibly immature and do not act as though they belong in graduate-level college, but perhaps high school or middle school instead. But I did enjoy the storyline/plot concept otherwise.

Thank you to BookSirens for allowing me to read a copy of "Kaity's Catch" J.J. Sommers, scheduled to release on September 14th, 2022! It is a debut novel.
Overall, I rated this novel a 4/5 stars!
This book tells the story of Kaity, who has recently gone through a tumultuous marriage and a miserable divorce. She deals with a lot of self-doubt and anxiety but in the end becomes a very empowered character with a well-developed personality. She does a lot of work on her self-esteem, and one of those  things happens to be pole dancing, where we meet her new friend/classmate Miriam.

Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read an ARC of "Unplanned", written by Natalie K. Martin. It is slated to release on September 20th, 2022!
Overall, I rated this novel a 4/5 stars!
Thia book follows Zoe and Sam, who have been traveling around the world together for the past 11 years. This is something that Sam especially enjoys. Zoe ends up having to create a new dream for herself once she finds herself pregnant and Sam finds himself not wanting to be a father.
A lot of this novel centers on Zoe's friend Nina encouraging her to take the next 9 months to focus on herself and do things she's always dreamed of before parenthood sets in. Self-discovery is so important, and Zoe's was definitely fun to read about!

Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read an ARC of "The Unbalanced Equation", written by H.L. MacFarlane, scheduled to release on September 15th, 2022!
Overall, I rated this novel a 3/5 stars!
This book focuses on Elizabeth, who is about to start her Post-Doctoral college work. She wrongfully assumes that she has seen the last of Dr. Thomas Henderson, who has made the last four years of her college life completely miserable. Liz ends up working in the same lab as him (of course)
In case that wasn't enough, Tom's mother and Liz's father decide to tie the knot with one another, and Liz's landlord uncerimoniously announcers that it's time for her to move out. This is one enemies-to-lovers novel that you won't want to miss out on, as it's said to be a combination of The Love Hypothesis and The Hating Game.

Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read an ARC of "Just Date & See" written by Portia MacIntosh. It is scheduled to release on September 19th, 2022!
Overall, I rated this novel a 4/5 stars!
The book focuses on Billie, who goes on a week's worth of singles' dates in her area, based on what her dating app recommends to her. Despite trying to friend-zone Rocco, the two of them really hit it off. The story is filled wth humorous scenes - this is my second novel that I've read by this author, and she really knows how to add comedic elements to her writing. She also is great at developing a character's personality as the novel goes on.

Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me the opportunity to read an ARC of "Looks Good on Paper" by Kilby Blades.
Overall, I rated this novel a 3.5/5 stars!
The book focuses on Zuri, who loves gardening and letters. She is not a huge fan of her boss, who always seems to be stealing all of her good ideas at work.
I really enjoyed the section of the book where Zuri gets to travel through Europe on vacation - the author definitely made me feel as though I were there.

Thank you so much to NetGalley for allowing me the opportunity to read an ARC of "Take It From Me" by Jamie Beck. It is scheduled to release on September 20th, 2022.
Overall, I rated this novel a 4/5 stars!
The novel centers around Joe & Wendy, newer empty-nesters since their son Billy has started college. Harper is a single woman who moves in next door. The two women form a friendship with one another, but it is one that is based on lies.  You'll definitely want to read the novel to find out what happens!

Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me the opportunity to read an ARC of "A Hate Like This" by Whitney Dineen & Melanie Summers. It is scheduled to release today - September 8th, 2022. This is actually the second installment in a series, which I was unaware of, so I will have to go back and read the first one! I also noticed that these authors have other books and I will definitely will be reading others!
Overall, I rated this novel a 4.5/5 stars!
This novel follows Moira, an overworked, extremely tired & exhausted widowed mother of three young boys. Her brother Digger and his wife Harper are getting married soon - Moira is in charge of the wedding cake. She also owns the only diner in her small Alaskan town. Ethan is Harper's best friend who comes to Alaska for 6 months to leave law practice behind and focus on his dream of writing a thriller novel. The dialouge in this novel is hilarious, heartfelt, and great material. I laughed out loud at times.

Thank you so much to Mary Carson for the opportunity to read an ARC of "Anything That You Want"!
Overall, I rated this novel a 4.5/5 stars!
This was a wonderful novel about James & Ellie. Ellie works as a labor/delivery nurse and James works as a builder. The two of them meet in a series of cute & quirky coincidences - a work mixer opportunity, a labor & delivery room, a singles & mingle cooking class named after the Beatles. Ellie herself is struggling with the new knowledge that her sister has recently died of an overdose and guardianship of her 7 year old daughter EB has been handed down to her. It brings up a lot of unresolved and long-lasting foster care system feelings.
The only thing I wish was that this novel was longer! And I felt bad for Jasmine, Ellie's best friend whom it took her awhile to come to terms with trusting.
