Update - New Socials

Hey guys! It’s been a long time since I’ve been around here.

And it’s incredibly nerve-wracking doing it after basically disappearing completely and cutting all communication off. Writing this post makes me sweat. 

I’m extremely sorry for that - but it’s been a rough couple of years. My mental health got worse to the point I just snapped and withdrew completely, I just couldn’t keep up with 90% of my life anymore and my depression skyrocketed. 

Two years later after therapy, and meds, and frustration, and self-discovery, I have a fresh diagnosis of ADHD that finally explains why I got to that point - however I am yet to learn how to actually cope with it, and I have a long (and expensive) way ahead of me to get back to an adequate level of functionality and comfort.  

Getting back on social networks is one of the steps I wanted to take - I’ve missed the community so much -  if any of you worried about me I’m dreadful sorry, I thought about it every day yet I couldn’t even bring myself to log into my accounts. And I missed drawing for people and interacting with you all, it really made me happy.

when will my forced hiatus end

I am alive, kind of! Still having a hell of a time, forgive me for my absence from this site, I hope my routine will settle a bit! I am still working on this winter’s commissions because of all this, but I promise I will reopen soon - albeit with only a handful of  slots per month, so I can have a manageable schedule time for some art posting!

Your art is gorgeous I just don't understand how you can draw commissioned OC's of colour so well but whitewash canon characters or draw them in questionable/abusive situations that almost feels like its fetishising abusive parts of their life. I'm not trying to be hateful, I'm just trying to understand why fans of these characters keep doing things like this to them.

I’m sorry, but ...? I always try my best to draw character’s ethnicities as they are, and if in the past I have not delivered, it surely wasn’t due to my intention but rather to my still evolving art skills. The second part is what baffles me the most, since most of my art is romantic scenes or action-y stuff? I really can’t recall drawing a character being abused. If you’d like to continue this conversation we can do so in private, I don’t mind receiving criticism and having a conversation about it but anon makes me very uncomfortable

I can’t believe you talked me into laying here. Do you have any idea how hard it will be to get up? Luckily I can still pick you up. Luckily I love you or I may have taken offense to that.

A most lovely, cute and absolutely stunning piece of my Rayne Amell and Cullen! I don’t get enough art of these two together, and I’m so happy that I finally did this ^_^ Thank you to @noctuaalba for this! I flailed during the whole process, I loved it from the moment I saw the sketch and I’m so beyond happy with the final result. If you ever get the chance, commission her! I’ve had the pleasure of doing so multiple times now, and loved every piece - which I guess is pretty obvious if I keep going back lol.

I headcanon that this is during Rayne’s pregnancy with Davia (their first born). The stresses of the Inquisition were taking their toll on Rayne. So Cullen took her away from Skyhold for a few days.
