Do they look good in red?
His colors are usually blue, black and white so this freaks me out. No
What recurring dreams do they have?
Frantic flashes of other lives, pieces of conversation that go by too fast to understand, the sensation of hands coming just short of grabbing him in the dark. Someone furious is looking for him and grins with all his teeth.

Can they take care of a plant? What about a pet? What about a child?
Eli would not choose to take care of a plant. If there was one that he saw frequently, like in his work office or MAYBE in his living space, its health would be an indicator of his stress levels. At top functionality Eli would water it and give it enough light. The more he is stressing, the more tunnel-visioned he gets and basically just cranky and overwhelmed by small things so the plant would be neglected. (Sidenote: his actual living space is a depression den so keeping a plant alive is truly a feat)
He also wouldn’t choose to have a pet, but if he ended up with one (like a feral pigeon on his window) he would take better care of it than a plant. It would have to be a low-effort pet like an independent cat though.
He can’t do children, he has no skills with them and quickly becomes flustered and hands them off to someone else ASAP.
Ask them to describe their love interest.
A flame he is helpless to gravitate to, the last thing he expected to find and a humbling and frightening doorway to parts of himself he had neglected. She is an infectious laugh that warms his chest and he wants the inside of his mind to be lit by her light always. Smarter than he is, more forgiving, kinder, and more persistent, he would not blame her for going ahead in life without him. The world needs her more than it needs him.
He's grateful for her to help him on his quest, despite how he treated her early on. Although he doesn't belong here, he hopes he remembers her when it's done.
Safety or possibility?
Eli is not necessarily a risk taker, he is a problem solver, and if he can figure out a way to the best solution safely (this usually means outsmarting the danger), he will take it. But if there seems to be a greater reward on the other side of a risk, he is intrigued and will assess his skills to see what can be done.
What do they like that nobody else does?

🌾 Describe your OC through the eyes of someone absolutely head-over-heels in love with them
They’ve been able to see what’s beyond the brusque and rude outside shell, typically because they’ve stuck around long enough for him to open up a little. Eli is dedicated and willful, motivated by doing good and has put a lot of thought into right vs wrong. He takes action without others’ input, which can come off as selfish (and he kind of is) but he is generally trying to achieve the best result as quickly as possible. (And he is often right about it.)
Confronting him about his flaws will be met with stubbornness and snappiness. This is because he’s extremely self-conscious and takes things personally, and with a little counter-stubbornness is willing to listen and change. He is more quick to think that people will abandon him for his flaws, than he is to abandon others for his own needs. He is very protective of his friends and is thinking of them constantly.
He also has a dry sense of humor and the moments that he playfully teases them are bright little diamonds in the rough. They know Eli carries a lot on his shoulders and being able to see him relax a little is gratifying. He has difficulty voicing his own gratitude, but he is very attentive to time spent together and they can tell it means a lot to him.
It’s not worth teasing him over because he would get embarrassed and withdraw like a turtle, but it’s obvious he feels smug when he gives a good gift. He finds joy in treating his loved ones well.
