yxseul:
“It’s not involved, it merely played a part in which accommodates my needs, both in pleasure and the information it brings me. Plus, that was a good face to sit on as well.” she adds, reminiscing over the episode with a grin to her lips.
She chuckles at her cousin’s bold affirmations. To others, the girl may have sounded conceited, but Yeseul acknowledges it and knows it’s true, so why be fake modest about it? Yes, the younger girl is good at what she does and she is quite the smooth talker which is why Yeseul trusts her to do a good job in the first place. To Yeseul, loyalty was everything just like  family was and Haehyeon has proved time and time again that she is perfect for the group, not to mention that Yeseul considers her almost like a sister. In fact, if Yeseul had a sister, she would have loved for it to be Haehyeon.
The woman’s speech concludes to favor the outcome Yeseul has been wanting all day long and she lets out a small screech, making a beeline to throw her arms around her cousin even though it’s a mess with the other still sitting down on her chair. “You’re such a bad bitch, I love it.” she pinches the girl’s cheeks for good measure, slipping off to lean against her desk for a moment. “Maybe that family just has good genes in general. Was he good in bed?”
Tumblr media
as if noh haehyeon isn’t big in the head already, yeseul’s obnoxious hug makes her grin, the corners of her lips curling up as she embraces the triumph. normally, if it had been any other person, it’s certain that she would’ve hated someone pinching her cheek like that, but yeseul, someone that she dares to consider as a sister and a partner, is always a special exception.
“we’re bad bitches together,” she says smugly, crossing one leg over the other as she taps off a few cinders from her still lit cigarette. “that’s why we’re vipers.”
it’s something that she loves that runs in the family; they aren’t afraid to take the risks that are necessary in moving forward, and aren’t afraid to do whatever is necessary to get what they want in their hands. they’re fierce, formidable, and stubborn to a fault; and most importantly, they’re loyal to their kin.
haehyeon’s even more smug as she leans in toward yeseul, still in her chair, as she answers, “enough to last until round three.” then she shrugs, taking in another puff of smoke. “but he got clingy by the end, so i had to let him go.” she says that in almost a woeful tone, eyes gleaming teasingly.
she offers the cigarette to yeseul, which rests between her fingers, asking nonverbally if she wants a puff herself. it’s a running joke between them that haehyeon does this when she wants something, and today is no different; she looks up sweetly at the older woman before asking, “so, does this mean a celebratory shopping date? am i allowed to get that fendi bag i have had my eyes on since last month?”

myungaji:
on a night like this, myungjun just wanted to get away. from the rays of daylight, from the troubles of the espresso machine, from the shine of the display glass and the annoying ass customers. yes, he hates his job a lot––but without it, he really didn’t and couldn’t belong anywhere else. but that certainly wasn’t what this person thought.
first, he was having a drink. he wasn’t much of a clubber; a guy like him being caught in a place like club vue was a once-in-a-blue-moon deal. the life isn’t cut out for him. people would falsely assume that a popular, good-looking, and single guy would be out and prowling in the nightlife for some fun, but he would much rather be at home sleeping; not that it was anyone else’s business but his. so what made him change his agenda? he felt high-strung today and wanted to immerse himself in a new environment––an environment that people in this resort seem to love so damn much.
second, he was minding his own business. myungjun’s got a pair of eyes that see pretty well, but apparently just LOOKING gets an individual a lot of trouble. he looks wrong, he breathes wrong, he walks wrong, he drinks a glass wrong, then it’s trouble with some gang he’s only heard about through eavesdropping conversations. it’s obvious that he’s being targeted for some damn reason.
right, for BEING there. this person thought he was up to no good. he could laugh, but that would just cause more suspicion than necessary. he takes another sip from his glass, setting it down gently to address the woman before him just as gently. “i sent myself here,” he responds, raising the glass at her. the ice clinks against the glass.  “to have a drink on this beautiful night.”
having lived her whole life as an affiliation to the vipers, noh haehyeon was a natural gang member—or as natural as someone could be as one. this meant that she was quick to assess and confront threats; it also meant that she easily became suspicious about everything and anything when it seemed right. this was just another one of those situations when being vigilant seemed to be the right, safe choice; not everyone in club vue took it upon themselves to look in one particular direction, especially when most clubbers knew that one misdirected look or comment could get them involved with some dangerous people.
clearly, this young man wasn’t included in the majority. haehyeon slightly raised an eyebrow at him and his calm reaction, a little surprised by how matter-of-fact he was being, but not letting it show on her face.
he was either a really good actor, or he was telling the truth. honestly, she was having a bit of trouble in choosing which, but haehyeon was still feeling inclined to press him a little more. she considered it as taking precautions. she would be a crummy gang member if she let a weasel slip through her fingers, merely because she couldn’t put her judgement to good use.
haehyeon’s eyes watched him lift his glass of alcohol; she didn’t feel the need to reciprocate. her arms still remaining crossed over her chest, she tried assessing him again. it would’ve been easier if he was a regular customer to club vue, but it was obvious that he wasn’t, mostly because club vue was the perfect meeting place for the vipers and haehyeon practically lived here. she would’ve seen him if he frequented the place.
“and you looking at a gang meeting for a longer time than necessary,” haehyeon started, “was just a coincidence?”

hong-green-bean93:
How is it that Minsung finds himself in these situations? His job honestly shouldn’t be this dangerous. Someone asks him to get information, he gets it, and they pay the price of his choosing to receive it. Doesn’t sound too hard, does it? Well, currently caught between a rock and a hard place, Minsung would not be inclined to agree.
It had started at a bar. The client had given him the required information: a picture of the target and a place that they frequented. Lucky for Minsung, his current target seemed to frequent the club he works at, Club Aura. He was in his element as he does his job, serving drinks every now and again and letting people touch him. After his performance on stage, he walks the floor as usual, in case someone wants a private dance from him, but his eyes are on the woman at the bar.
He sidles up to her, on the pretense of placing a drink order for a table of giggly young women with the bartender. Minsung smiles and introduces himself. Receiving the drinks, he winks and promises to come back, and he does. He starts a conversation at random, the best way to loosen up a target. They talk for a while, Minsung very subtly directing the conversation in the direction he had wanted it to go. Satisfied for the moment, he blows her a kiss and heads back up on stage to do his job.
When she leaves, he gets dressed and leaves as well, after a reasonable amount of time to put some distance between them. He needs the last bit of required information: where she lives, before he can call this a success. She rounds a corner a block ahead and Minsung does the same…only to find that she’s not there. Reeling from shock, he doesn’t notice the fist coming out of nowhere and hitting him in the face, the world going very blurry.
When he comes to, she’s standing over him with a knife, forcing him to look up at her. He can only see through one eye as the other one is gradually swelling itself shut. Cursing under his breath, he glares up at his target. “For fuck’s sake, you couldn’t knock me out with a blow to the back of the head? My face is my job! And you’ve ruined it!” Minsung can’t stop the shaking in his voice no matter how much he tries. He’s not a fighter. His muscles are legitimately for show, and with his arms cuffed behind the back of the chair, they were of no use anyway. “What-what do you want to know?”
the knife in her hand shifts slightly as noh haehyeon half-laughs, half-snickers. it’s humorous, almost endearing to see him trying so hard to act tough, especially when he’s tied expertly to a chair. in one swift motion, the knife recedes back into the sleeve of her tight-fitting shirt, and she laughs a little louder. her hand moves up to his head to roughly ruffle his hair, then moves down to the side of his face, cupping his cheek as she studies it.
“don’t worry, pretty boy,” she singsongs, though her eyes are still steely, “you’re still cute enough to do your job.”
haehyeon then lets go of his face to cross her arms over her chest. “that is, if you make it through today. a part of me is hoping that you won’t.”
walking to the side of the storage container, she drags over a chair, turns it, and sits right in front of him, her lips still toying with a smile that never quite reaches her eyes. funny, she thinks, how an information broker is asking her what she wants to know, and not the other way around. actually, this entire situation, in a narrow perspective, is funny; a stripper being an information broker? haehyeon has seen some queer jobs, but this is a first. giving it further thought, it’s also quite smart; people tend to spill their secrets with their sexual partners. it’s strange, but it’s a thing.
“what do i want to know?” haehyeon echoes, placing her elbows on the back of chair and her chin on her linked hands. “i want to know everything: who requested your services and gave you my photo to chase, what they wanted you to get out of me, and on what day at what time they approached you...”
her voice trails off. “i’m sure you get the gist.”
taking out her phone, she checks the time, then slips it back into her pocket. “you get exactly one hour, sixty minutes, to spill everything. if i’m not satisfied until your time is up, well...”

noh haehyeon snickers at the last part of yeseul’s long speech, crossing one leg over the other as she sits back in her comfortable chair. the skirt of her dress shifts slightly as she looks almost lazily over to her cousin, a small smile toying with her lips as she retorts: “should’ve known your sex life was involved in this.”
her arms sprawled out next to her body, haehyeon looks up at her, this time with more serious eyes, the smile extending farther across her face. “who am i,” she says, her eyes sparkling, “save for the smoothest talker of the century?”
as much as she knows that yeseul has much pride for what she’s accomplished thus far—and only rightfully so—haehyeon has enough pride to match. throughout the past years, she had emerged as a central part of the viper gang, enough to be entrusted with crucial information regarding both the success and potential downfall of their organization, enough to work closely with yoo yeseul herself. she takes out one of her favorite electronic cigarettes and sticks the end into her mouth, smoke escaping her lips as haehyeon confirms, “they’re 99% beneficial for us and the old man did agree to have us do the distribution. hell yeah, it’s a go.”
“and,” she adds, “i may or may not have sat on his grandson’s face for good measure.”
taking another puff of her cigarette, haehyeon shrugs, “but hey, can you blame me? he has the face of an actor and a body of a model.”
@nohviper
Yoo Yeseul takes much pride in what she has accomplished so far in life. She is the youngest known successor in her gang and the line of descendants before her is impressive on its own. Yet, she is by far the one who has accumulated the most wealth and dad would be proud of the little snake he raised so well. And despite it all and her love for the family she’s grown into, she makes it well-known for people to understand that she is her own and nothing like her father. For starters, she is far more brilliant and her schemes have gotten her to shake hands with far more powerful people who’s souls she would sell for a corn chip without even thinking.
She exits her office at the headquarters, heels click-clacking on the floor as she crosses the corridor and allows herself in another familiar room.
“Give me the good news, love, tell me your brilliant mind did it and you ran through the contracts. Tell me they’re 99% beneficial for us and that the old man agreed to have us do the distribution ‘cause that’s what his granddaughter told me he’d do before I sat on her face. She sounded too thrilled to be lying, so… it’s a go?

» well, shit, @hong-green-bean93
if she despised anything more than backstabbers, then noh haehyeon could say with confidence that she loathed spies. spies were the absolute worst; not only were they only looking out for themselves, but they filled their stomachs on censored information of others, prying into people’s privacy and sticking their noses into other people’s business. spies made her skin crawl and her fingers instinctively reach for the knife she always had on her somewhere, eyes hardening and lips pursing into a thin line.
she had her knife with her now, the sleek metal glistening under the creaking light of the storage container as she played with the blade. the handle danced between her fingers skillfully; this knife had been with her since she had been eight, and was her best partner, aside from her ability to talk her way out of sticky situations. her gaze fiery and her jaw set, haehyeon walked a few steps forward, the metal floor of the container clanking underneath her boot heels, toward the young man that sat tied to a hard chair, hands in cuffs.
with the tip of the blade, haehyeon flicked the blindfold off of young man, whom she had already delivered a winding punch to the face to; she remembered, with a twinge of anger, how he had tried to weasel information from her earlier. subconsciously, she cleaned the edge of the blade with the hem of her shirt before sliding it under his chin, the tip dangerously close to the soft skin of his neck, forcing him to lift his head.
“you might have noticed,” haehyeon grounded out, tilting her head to the side, “but i am not a person of patience.”
she leaned forward slightly, pressing the knife slightly closer, as her face neared his, “it’d be in your best interest to answer my questions to the best of your ability.”

» people watching, @myungaji
as a viper through and through, noh haehyeon felt nearly at home at club vue; it was her main hunting ground for helpless and naive tourists. and as vipers do, she liked to watch her prey from a distance, vigilant gaze darting back and forth amongst people who were dancing with and against each other. some were hanging over the railings as they filled their livers with alcohol, and some stayed in their seats, too withdrawn into their comfort zones. a gin and tonic in one hand, haehyeon’s fingers idly twirled her hair as her eyes latched onto one clubber in particular—a young man who seemed oddly skittish. perfect.
downing the rest of her drink, she smoothened out the minuscule wrinkles in her tight fitting, sheer black dress that showed a generous amount of skin. setting the glass down onto the bar counter, haehyeon began to make her way over to him—just to be halted by a presence lurking around her other fellow vipers. the click-clack of her heels hitting the club floor stopped and she changed direction, quietly watching the young man who clearly had his eyes on one of the gang members.
arms crossed over her chest, feeling the small knife nestled in the inside of her chest piece, haehyeon approached him. he looked somewhat familiar, as if she had seen him somewhere, but she couldn’t exactly place where; but none of that really mattered, not if she had just caught him eavesdropping on an important discussion among the vipers, not if he was affiliated to a gang and was trying to be a sleaze.
her lips pursed into a thin line as she stood blatantly in front of the young man, blocking his view of the other vipers hunched over a table. her eyes bore into hers as haehyeon tersely said, “who sent you?”
