Lady Parts
The lady parts left, and patience and self-love filled-in. A womb doesn't make this woman. I am aware of who I am. Now, I have room to become pregnant with more splendor!
This physical form will always have flaws, as my spiritual being realizes excellence.
For all the women who have lost parts, please remember that the sum of all your parts will always = Enough.

Braided
Some are harder than the Super Bowl 56 halftime show;
I like my plaits pliable so they softly flow.
I like my crown interlaced with peace, dignity, and love;
Three strands of a secure Queendom.
I like my cornrows to zigzag at times,
Like bolts of light uniting with my positive vibes.
Like the melanated shield that guards me,
I carefully guard my glory --- no touching!
Black queens before me donned copious crowns;
Withstanding time, we're braided soul to soul.
