For years we have collected street art on our travels. It is a beautiful memento of where we've been and a personal decor piece that keeps our memories alive. * * * These new pieces from our trip to Florence, Italy might be some of my favorites! If you are considering picking up art on your trips here are a few tips we've picked up over the years: • Look around at several artists before buying and watch out for the exact same piece of art at multiple stands. • Check if the city has a certification program for their street artists and if they do stick with those that display their official license • Ask questions about the art. A real artist should be able to tell you how to properly frame a piece and take care of it so it maintains its beauty. • Have a theme or color palette in mind so your art corresponds to your decor at home. * * Have fun finding little gems to add to your home and it really only matters if it means something to you. I’m not sure why, but the 4th of July is a holiday that always makes me feel a little nostalgic.
