The April monthly vote was for some Nova AU art! I spent waaaaaaay too long on finding a concept I like with this AU.  There's a lot of thought behind it, but I'd write basically a novel if I put everything here.

For Harrow, I really liked the idea of using parts of fencing gear in her outfit and giving her an initimidating face paint with only the lower part.

And Gideon gives such intense WWE vibes I had to give her a fitting belt (that.. talks? lmao Idk it reminded me of Papyrus from Undertale so I wanted it to talk). To me, even when she's a Necro, she's still a cavalier at heart who'd rather work out and make a sword out of bone, instead of traditional necro stuff.

I could talk about this AU for so long but I'm trying to keep it short lmao. Would definitely love to draw them again in the future.

Funny tlt thing I've noticed is that while people seem to have latched onto [Necromancer's name] [Cavalier's name] for the full name of Lyctors for some characters (in canon you have Cytherea Loveday and Ianthe Naberius, in fandom you get Mercymorn Cristabel), you never hear "Gideon Pyrrha" or "Harrowhark Gideon." Probably because Pyrrha and Gideon are characters we actually know and it feels weird to use their names that way, but that makes it even funnier that "Ianthe Naberius" is seen as acceptable. Goodbye white boy
