it’s kinda obscure I get that,,, but prosthetic is an adjective. it’s used with a noun. Not alone.

So like this:

Not: 

he has a prosthetic.

she took off her prosthetics.

If you want to use it like that then use the noun form. “Prosthesis” with the plural “prostheses”

So like this:

he has a prosthesis

she took off her prostheses

Summary: 

Prosthetic is an adjective. Do not use it alone.

Prosthesis/Prostheses is a noun. You can use it alone.

*breathes heavily* sorry if this came off as really aggressive I don’t mean it that way. it’s just something that annoys me as a person who loves grammar and syntax. I feel like it’s not commonly known so don’t feel bad at all but this is a psa!!

Demands of the Qun is a trap

I mentioned before I had something sitting on the reasons why I think Bull’s personal mission, “Demands of the Qun”, is a trap.  Please remember that this is just a fan’s musings. Evidence is taken from Inquisition, the Dragon Age comics and wiki, as well as my background in history and anthropology.

The Ben-Hassrath have learned of a Venatori red lyrium shipment.  They want to work with the Inquisition to take it out and offer an alliance by contacting Iron Bull

-Why are the Ben-Hassrath the ones offering the alliance?  We are told they work primarily as enforcers of religious law, but also shown to work in intelligence gathering/spying, sabotage, interrogation, reeducation, and assassination.  They fall under the Ariqun, who is also in charge of the Tamassrans, which means it’s essentially the religious branch of the Qunari.  The offering of an alliance more logically should fall under the military, in other words, the Arishok.  And if not the Arishok, it should be the Triumvirate as a whole.  But the game states that there is no precedent for a Qunari alliance so we have no way to confirm who the authority to offer an alliance really would fall under. 

-There’s also some question in the way you learn of the mission and offer of an alliance.  Something this big, this ground breaking, one would think it would be in big official contact with the Inquisition as a whole.  Instead, it is the Ben-Hassrath contacting Iron Bull.  Since we are never given a chance to read the contact there is no way to know exactly what was said.  Were they simply informing Iron Bull, and left it to him to tell the Inquisitor?  Was he specifically instructed in how to approach in Inquisitor?  On the other hand, this form of contact does make sense.  The only Qunari contact you ever have in the game is through Iron Bull.  It might have been more logical, and more trustworthy, to contact the Inquisition through Iron Bull.  A codex in Trespasser, however, between Josephine and the Triumvirate shows that the two groups/organizations as a whole are capable of full contact with each other.

-There is no precedent for a Qunari alliance with an outside group or power.  This and other actions show that the Qunari essentially don’t work with outsiders.  Sten, for instances, was sent with his group to physically observe and learn about the Blight themselves rather than asking others about it. 

-There’s no evidence that any assistance was sent to the Arishok himself, the leader of a third of the Qunari, when he was marooned in Kirkwall for up to four years.  While the Qunari appear to be the type of people to let him sort it out by himself, or withhold assistance until he gets the Tome back, it still means that your highest military commander is by himself.  The Arishok also neither asks nor offers an alliance with Kirkwall to receive help getting the Tome back.  In short, the Qunari seem used to doing things under their own power.

I nurture and treasure my obessions a lot because they are hard to come by for me and they fuel me in a way that nothing else can 😖 I run more on inspiration than I do on discipline so jumping from one obsession to the next is the most reliable way to keep my head afloat, but we can’t know for sure what or when something will catch our eye so I stay in my cozy home obsession until the time comes 😣
