What’s happening in Mexico?
Here’s some things you need to know:
Since 1 of January 2017, the price of oil and gasoline will be incremented up to 20%
The corruption behind PEMEX’s (mexico’s only oil company) managing left with a massive debt of $100,000 Million Dollars last year
Different foreign companies will establish themselves in México starting this year, competing with PEMEX, this was allowed by the government, to “raise competitiveness”, in hopes to heal with this the crisis that PEMEX is facing with the debt.
Due to the increment in price of oil, every other product that depends of transport for it’s commercialization will also have an increment to it’s price.
The price of gasoline will fluctuate daily starting February 18th
The biggest and most obvious impact will be how much more money it will cost to us Mexican people to afford to have a decent quality of life since, not only transport will cost more, furniture, clothing, food, seeds and basically everything will cost much more money due to this
Indigenous people will be the most affected by this.
More foreign companies mean more exploitation of oil, which means displacing of indigenous peoples, whom are not protected by our government
The high possibility of Mexico entering a recession because of the high interest rates to inversion
Mexico now buys 6 of every 10 liters of gasoline from foreign companies, which also increments the price of gasoline because of the devaluation of our coin compared to the US Dollar
Drug cartels involved in the black market of gasoline will be even more powerful and rich because of how expensive and how scarce it will be
Now, consider the fact that this is act of the Mexican Government alone.
With Donald Trump as the president of the United States we’re basically fucked because:
Trump promises to revise or, at one extreme, withdraw the United States from the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), something that would have significant repercussions for Mexico, which sends 83% of its exports to the northern neighbor. x
Literally one day after Donald Trump won the elections, the Dollar closed in 19.33 Pesos and then to 20.35 pesos for a Dollar, this is the highest it has been ever recorded
Donald Trump is planning with charging companies high taxes for investing in Mexico
So yeah, we’re doing pretty bad, the whole country is protesting against the increment of oil, x x ; everybody is in panic for what’s going to happen to us, and we now, more than ever know how much Americans & our own government hate us
Note: all the sources are from Spanish news outlets since i couldn’t find any news written in english about this.
Please reblog so everyone can know that the democracy in Mexico is a fraud.

WHY BEING CALLED 'HISPANIC' PISSES ME OFF
Before 1517, when F. Hernandez de Cordoba arrived in Yucatán, Mexico was just Indigenous culture, Indigenousness was not allowed by the Spanish colonizers. We were exploited, raped, killed, sold, enslaved, our riches and valuables were stolen and sold and we were washed into their culture. Our history, culture and identities were erased and rewritten and then people dare to refer to us as ‘Hispanic.’
I WILL NOT identify with my colonizers.
