This show is so lucky that they had a powerhouse like Amy Pemberton just hanging out. Like as great as her voicework as Gideon has always been, she is such a phenomenal actor, and she absolutely killed it this season. And I know this show is never going to be considered for any kind of awards or whatever, but if they ever were, Amy should get all of them.

God, what an amazing season... might be my absolute favourite season so far. I’m really going to miss Nate, but they gave him such an amazing ending, and left the door open for Nick to come back and guest, so I can’t even be too upset about it.

That Astra/Gideon/Spooner scene was the highlight of the episode for me. The three of them have become my favourite part of the show, and this deep and complex relationship that they’ve built up, especially over the course of this season, is just so interesting to watch. I love Gideon specifically says that it’s not just Gary that makes her feel, but all of the Legends. I feel like the last couple of seasons put much more importance on romantic relationships, and I really love how this season they took care to re-affirm that, yeah sure, a lot of these people are in romantic relationships, which is cool, but that doesn’t mean the non-romantic bonds and relationships they have are any less important. I loved all of the “the Legends are a team who care immensely about each other” content this season.

I also really like that they didn’t immediately have Alun and Gwyn get together. That relationship is really complicated, as are Gwyn’s feelings about it. I think if we actually get to know Alun a little as a character, and see how he feels about Gwyn, it makes it a much more interesting story than if they’d just hooked up as soon as they were reunited.

 Like Gwyn’s spent so many years devising this plan where he would save the man he loved, but that was going to be end of the story for him. Actually getting to be with Alun was never part of the plan – at least not until the Legends came along started to make him believe that maybe it didn’t have to be that way. Maybe his story didn’t have to be his tragedy. 

So he got Alun back and they’re together. So, now what? 

Anyway, yeah I’m really into the potential of this story, and you just know that Matt Ryan is going to kill it when he gets to tackle some intense, nuanced emotional stuff, and I can’t wait.

I would love it if they really had ava full stop be like No. No kids. because so often when I see TV couples have the conflict over having kids the one who's hesitant always ends up coming around and being like "im so glad you changed my mind" and especially w queer couples it would be great to see them be like hey! you don't need to try extra hard to conform to the nuclear family model! you do not have to be the same gender equivalent to the social norm! its actually good and fine to not want kids and that shouldn't be treated as any moral failing!

I love Legends because one second I can be tearing up, my heart overwhelmed with love at Ava and Zari convincing Gwyn they can save Alun, and the next second I'm cackling at Gwyn walking his face right into the door.
