I Said Leave Me Alone.
So let it be noted that I am not good at keeping up with things th way that people want me to. So I’m sorry that I haven’t done Standing Up chapter 2 yet, but I will get it up soon.  Anyway this story was inspired by a hyped up fantasy conversation between my roommate and myself, however there was a better IRL conclusion than there is in this story.  Also find it here on AO3 (registered users only though!)
Chapter 1
Marinette was known for being late, Alya had always taken that into calculations when she made plans to talk to her best friend…because time and time again, a serious discussion would be needed, and since Marinette would be late, she didn’t need to make more of a plan than waiting near the entryway of the school. From what she understood, Marinette’s parents didn’t tend to care if she was late so long as she had good grades, which Alya could understand, Marinette was a good student, she got good grades, and she did good things…but Alya herself would always have to discuss her tardiness with her parents and oftentimes got berated for it.
Today though, she’d talked to her mother a few nights prior, and revealed that she knew she was going to be late one day this week, she just hadn’t picked it out yet, and Marlena agreed with Alya…that being late for the cause of trying to find some common ground in the current situation she was facing was worth it. Alya felt blessed to have such a loving and understanding mother, even if Marlena was often busy at work, she was always there if Alya needed help or to be show the voice of reason, which Alya found great…even if she hated being grounded at certain times for her determination of getting the greatest footage and gathering intel about the Parisian superheroes team.
Just as she suspected, Marinette was late this day, and as the girl began to charge up the steps of the stairs, Alya grabbed her bag and dragged her back a bit, to pull her attention away from the school.
“I’m sorry for grabbing you like that, but you kinda charged past me…can we talk for a bit? I know we’re already late but I really need to talk to you.” Alya stated, as Marinette’s bluebell eyes went wide, and she nodded, it was strange, but she could almost sense fear in her best friend…which didn’t make sense, what did she have to be afraid about? Alya was the one about to set fire to the world, after all.
Releasing her grip on the bag Alya motioned for Marinette to follow her as she walked them to a café that was near the school, and she ordered two lattes so that the pair of them could get some energy…and so that she could stall this conversation as long as she could. The nerves in her system had built up so intensely that she didn’t know what to do.
“A-Alya…you wanted to talk?” the meek girl across from her asked as she led Alya to the stools near the location that the coffees would be placed when their orders were ready.
“I…yeah…look, there really is no easy way to say this Marinette because it sounds awful…and far be it from me to make bad accusations toward you girl, but…” she began before she gulped and shook her head for a second, diverting her attention over to the baristas as they started using their loud machines.
“I’m not saying that you’re a bad person, and I can’t stress that point enough girl, but you also haven’t tried to mend fences, and it’s getting old. Everyone is getting tired of it and nobody knows what to do, it seems like as long as Lila is around that the two of you are going to have people pick a side even though neither of you has asked that, I mean, Lila hasn’t even asked that girl, it just seems to radiate from you, and it isn’t exactly fair…” Alya stated as Marinette let out a sigh of relief, which gave Alya a puzzled look.
“I thought there was something else for a second and got really panicky, sorry…but…I didn’t ask anyone to pick sides, and I’m not going to, but I don’t like her. I’m not going to make efforts for someone that framed me and got half the class akumatized either. I don’t care who does like her, I know what I know, and honestly, I trust my instincts. I know that you want proof of her being a liar, but even without being able to give you the proof, I trust myself.” Marinette stated almost matter-of-factly, which made Alya tense up as their drinks were slid over to the pair of them. Alya passed a latte over to Marinette and as her hands gripped her own, the warmth of it spread through her palm and left her pondering.
“I just don’t get it Marinette…you were never like this with Kagami or even with Chloe…” Alya stated before Marinette sighed and stood up.
“It doesn’t matter Alya…I have to go to class now…thank you for the latte.” Marinette whispered before taking her leave.
Taking a sip of her drink, Alya sat there contemplating just what even happened. She was so certain that talking to Marinette about the problem would result in her seeing that she needed to be more civil, but…it had just had the opposite effect, Marinette was as stubborn as ever about Lila, which was frustrating.
It was like she didn’t care about her other friends, and the more Alya thought about it with each sip of her drink, the more agitated she became because clearly there was more to this story than Marinette would tell her, and Alya was her best friend after all, didn’t she deserve to know what was going on? It wasn’t fair to have been put in this position.
“No, it isn’t fair, is it, my dear girl? You only tried to fix this problem, but your friend refuses to see reason or be honest with you…I’d like to help you to expose the truth about this ordeal, so that you and your friends might have some real peace, so long as you help me get Ladybug and Chat Noir’s miraculous, do we have a deal?” A voice called out to her, as Alya stood there frozen.
“Yes, Hawkmoth.”
“Then Revelator, go find out your truths and get me my Miraculous.”

Shoryubug Challenge: [Week 1/46] 2020.
So…this is a really weird thing that I do, but every week I like to challenge myself with new vocab words to attempt to make my writing more flowery. I usually keep the stuff I write to myself, but right now I really wanted to share this with others, so that maybe everyone can attempt to do this. I know it’s kinda stupid to a lot of people, but it’s my way of trying to stay sharp and teach myself new things! That being said, what is written below; there is no point to it, this isn’t one of the planned stories I intended to write, and this is the first time that I’ve done this sort of thing with Miraculous Ladybug, as usually I do it with Persona, and only share this with a small group of friends. The words for this week are: chthonian, reverie, renege, heuristic, devoir, daedal, indispensable, recapitulated, aplomb, callow, and crepitation. Anyway I hope you guys like whatever it is that I write! Kinda flying by the seat of my pants here xD  –Shoryubug
The chthonian state of Paris made it obvious that an Akuma had been running rampant in the city, and while Marinette had been resting through it, waking up to a deep warmth that made her uncomfortable was not something she had been looking forward to. More often than not when she woke up due to an Akuma, it was because of loud noises or a bitter chill, it was a major difference dealing with a soft blooming heat though, so as she pushed open her skylight and pulled herself out of the hole above her bed, she couldn’t help the gasp that escaped her, though that was in part to the fact that her phone had buzzed and snapped her from the reverie of seeing the strange shade of the world around her, almost apocalyptic in nature.
>>> Have you seen Ladybug?!
It was from Alya, of course, with a line of almost 20 other texts asking her if she knew where Adrien was if she had forgotten the plans if she was going to make an appearance at all, and of course, guilt swelled within the girl for a moment. She never intended to renege on her plans, but the price of being Ladybug had often meant that she made up for the late nights of fighting akumas by taking frequent naps throughout the day. She was almost certain that she’d set the alarm on her phone…but judging from the texts, if she had, then she managed to sleep through them…again.
<<< No, I haven’t…if I do see her I’ll let you know!
Slipping her phone back into her pocket after responding to the text, Marinette called out to her Kwami. “Tikki…we should definitely transform now!” Upon the words coming out, Tikki had flown up from her pillow to meet Marinette on the balcony.  “I wonder what happened to make Paris look like this!” Tikki squeaked with worry.  “I don’t know, but we’re definitely going to find out!” Marinette snapped before calling on the transformation magic and whipping her magical yo-yo out to swing about the city and find her way toward anything that might have given her a clue.
It had taken a while, but eventually, she had come across something useful, less than a clue, but more of a roguish leather-clad cat hero, and one of her favorite people in the city. “Chat Noir! Boy am I glad to see you!” she stated as she fell onto the same rooftop as her partner, then setting a hand on his shoulder to gain his attention. “Do you have any idea about the Akuma?” she asked before she felt him whip her around and cover her mouth with one of his leather hands, before he pointed toward the Grand Palais, where the akumatized victim stood, gazing about the city from ground level before they began to float about. It was eerie to bear witness to the spectacle before them, and a shiver crept up Marinette’s spine before Chat Noir pulled her back with him behind a chimney and helped brace her for the impact the sound of what seemed like thunder erupted and the rooftop they were perched on began to shake.  “It’s Mireille Caquet, and from what I can gather the Akuma is in her earring…every time I get in close I can’t quite manage to land a hit in on her, is everything okay though, you’ve been missing for about a half-hour!” his tone was heavily laced with worry, and suddenly a bit of guilt washed over her. “Good job on the research! But yeah…I’m fine, after the other night when we fought against Gigantitan again I didn’t get much sleep, and then again yesterday because of some personal stuff I needed to catch up on, so sleep hit me like a train…I only just woke up from a nap due to the heat of what she did back in the arrondissement I live in.” she confessed before giving him a slight grin. “Really though what all can she do, is it just making the world split apart to look like the underworld is merging with modern-day Paris?” she asked before he shook his head.  “Her name is Olympia, and as long as she thinks of a greek god she can emulate their powers, it’s basically just The Pharoah all over again, including with the contorting face shapes, it has to do with a costume party she was at earlier, everyone was dressed up as someone from mythology, and her costume was mocked by none other than Chloe…who is now trapped somewhere, but…now she’s looking for us,” he explained which made Marinette’s face contort in strange shapes for a moment.  “How…what powers make her rip the world open like that?!” she asked before he gave her an unimpressed look.  “Poseidon, he isn’t just the god of the sea you know. The fire comes from Hestia, she has a giant gathering of followers when she becomes Aphrodite that makes it seem like Zombizou 2.0, and when she’s on the hunt for us, she’s using the power of Artemis. We’ve really got our work cut out for us this time Buginette.” Taking a step forward on the roof, the sound of the shingles’ crepitation was loud under his weight made her cringe, convinced that he was going to fall through the roof they stood upon.  “We have to figure something out to beat her fast then…I’m not sure we can handle all the heavy influential power behind each mask that she wears.” Marinette’s mind raced as she attempted to figure out just what they needed. The problem was that she only knew what Chat told her…so she didn’t know the exact pantheon that Mireille was going by as this akuma… “Chat, you said that she used Hestia for the fire, right? Like you heard her call out Hestia’s name?” she asked, her eyes dancing about searching and scanning for ideas and answers.  “Yeah, why?” he asked, his voice filled with curiosity. Most people had assumed that the crime-fighting duo was well versed in these fights by now, and while they should have been, it was moments like this that brought to light just how callow both heroes were, though he kept his gaze on her own, as if he were waiting for her to recapitulate the idea that was clearly forming in her mind. It was a heuristic process to go against any akuma most of the time, but this one had seemed to have that extra flare of danger, one that had meant that the duo couldn’t let up even for a moment once they had set upon the plan Ladybug was working through, it was their devoir to do so after all, and the city relied on them for it, as well as the final cleanup of damages outside of putting an end to the reign of each akumas malicious intent.
“First we’re going to check what my charm gives us, then we’re going to try to force her to use Dionysus, since she already used Hestia, she shouldn’t be able to use him, which means she’ll be vulnerable for a moment, and we can go in for the attack!” she offered, before calling upon her power and getting…a mirror. A very familiar rounded mirror. “Looks like Mister Bug’s luck strikes again, eh?” she offered before giving a sigh. “So what do you think we should do to distract her?” she offered, noticing the cheeky grin affixed to her partner’s face. While most would regard him as an expendable part of the heroic force, Marinette always tried her best to show him how he was indispensable, especially after their time wielding each other’s miraculous.
“Leave that to me, you mind if I take your charm this time?” he asked before she couldn’t help but smile at the way he acted with aplomb.  “It’s all yours Kitty.” she said handing it off to him, musing over the daedal nature of each charm for a moment in her mind and trying to figure out just what exactly he intended to do with the red and black spotted object.

Congratulations. (Part 1)
Alrighty, my first attempt at conquering all of these feelings from those two idiots making someone nice like Marinette make a choice they should have made together! Let’s get this show on the road! Seriously though, I don’t hate Adrien like a lot of salters do, nor do I hate Kagami, but the part where they make Marinette choose is just AWFUL of them, they should know how she is as a person, and she’s proven time and time again what she thinks about Andre’s Ice Cream, the whole episode of Glaciator is dedicated to her beliefs on his soul mate ice cream, Adrien should know that! Then there’s Kagami who she earnestly tells the legend to! Like…why did they do that to her!? That was just so horrible, even as new friends to her! Ugh. Anyway enough of my ranting, and on with the story!
There was a lot to be said for personal sacrifice, it was something that Marinette never knew about before, the pain that came along with trying to do something noble, for the sake of others. It was an affront to her senses as she stared between Adrien and Kagami while they awaited an answer from her. She had known well enough that if the situation were reversed, Kagami wouldn’t do what she had already surmised was the right choice for her in her mind. Kagami was about selfish action…and Marinette understood that and harbored no judgement of it.
Kagami was just like Adrien, the two rarely got a chance to experience things, so to be selfish was rare…and if it was going to make her happy, then Kagami deserved to relish in the selfishness…but Marinette wasn’t like that, and she couldn’t be like that or begin to think like that. Her eyes poured over every aching detail in their faces, the soft forest of Adrien’s eyes, the deep and welling mystery that was held in Kagami’s eyes…the freckles across Kagami’s face, the tan of Adrien’s skin, the way both of their smiles begged for her to just do something to have fun for all of them…and her heart sank like a stone.
Why couldn’t they make the choice themselves? Why did it have to be her…and even then…why was she a good person? There was no other choice for her. It was like being backed up against a wall, with a cage enclosing from two different directions…there was no escaping this, suddenly she understood. This was just like chess, except her opponent wasn’t Kagami for this match…this time she was being put into her place by fate.
So she told Andre the truth…that she thought Orange and Mint would be the better pairing, all for the symbolism behind it…Kagami and Adrien would be better, because she didn’t have a place there with them, though she didn’t vocalize those thoughts, instead after making her choice, she made her way toward her house, and with each step her heart grew heavier.
It wasn’t fair that they had asked her to make that choice for them, knowing the kind of person that she was…but she didn’t want to blame them. Anybody could have spoken up, but the truth was that they were all friends…and they were enjoying a great moment up until that point…she was the one that made it weird, all because of her strong feelings toward Adrien.
‘Congratulations…’ Marinette thought, before she placed her hands over her eyes and rubbed her fingers into her temple for a brief second, before the irritating megaphone attached to Roger Raincomprix broke her from her reverie. She now had a job to do…and being Ladybug always took priority over being Marinette.

Congratulations. (Part 2)
So it was always my intention to end this the way it is, it’s just an overly analyzed aspect of that moment in the series. Hope you guys like it!  Part one can be found here.
Every day had been filled with something new for Marinette to learn from, and this day wasn’t any different. Before she had gleaned life lessons from everything, but right now she felt empty. The man that helped to guide her during times that she had felt as though she were wandering through fields of nothingness was gone, she had just dropped him off at a train to meet the love of his life, because the memories that would have connected her to him had vanished, and now more than ever she had felt a need to have him in her life.
Her heart was heavy as she thought about Wang Fu, but at this moment she didn’t have the luxury to dwell on those feelings. She had known that ultimately he would be happy on his journey with Marianne, and that he would finally get the peace that he had so often craved. It brought a smile to her face as the sunshine warmed her skin on her way to Canal Saint Martin, where she was meeting up with everyone.
Her arrival there was receptive as ever, everyone exchanging pleasantries, while she and Adrien, who had both been late to the meeting point, had gone to Andre Glacier to grab their new flavored ice cream, his Mint and Orange, hers Blueberry and Bubblegum. Her heart had sunk for a moment as she remembered the last time they were there together not so long ago and she had made the choice for him and Kagami to get a flavor together.
A soft smile graced her face for a brief moment before her attention was pulled back to the moment, away from the wanderings that her mind was often so prone to doing.
“Did you hear about Ultimate Mecha Strike’s new DLC?” she offered, waiting for him to get his flavor scoops.
“Yeah, I heard they’re adding in a new mech based on some character in Phantom Strikers! I’m really excited for it actually!” he stated with a childlike innocence to his voice.
“I am too actually…I just don’t know if I want to pay so much for the DLC right now, I mean, yeah this one comes with a grappling hook, and the character it’s based on from the other game is really popular, but that doesn’t mean that every other mech they introduce will be as good, you know? It just makes me a little anxious, because I’d really like to play with all of the new ones, especially if I’m spending extra money on it just for that one, but…I don’t know if it’s worth it yet.”
“Well if money is the issue, I can always send you some–” he began before she shook her head.
“No it’s not about money…it’s more…we don’t have a guarantee that the other new mechs will be as good…or even good at all. I just want some sort of assurance that it’s not going to be good for the first few months then it becomes lesser and lesser in quality, you know?”
“I guess I understand then…I can always buy it for myself and let you know what the newer updates are though, that way you always have a clue until you decide on if you want to get it for yourself!” he said as he grabbed his ice cream from Andre and the two began to descend the steps of the bridge together.
“That…actually that sounds awesome, thank you so much Adrien, I really appreciate it!” She said, before the two split apart from each other and she had made her way over toward Luka, only to pause for a moment.
Experiencing loss is a part of life, but it doesn’t define it. Because what really matters isn’t whether you win or lose, it’s the ability to accept changes in ourselves, it’s accepting that even if life doesn’t always give us the gifts we were hoping for, the real gift is life itself. The words were caught, echoing in her mind as she gazed out at Adrien and Kagami for a moment. Fu was right in his letter…and she was experiencing loss right then. Her heart lurched for a moment, before she softly sighed and took the final steps over beside Luka, setting their ice cream down between them.
“You okay?” the guitarist asked, her eyes searched him for a moment, she had already known that she could trust him from her breakdown before…but…a million things swam through her head in the span of five seconds.
She couldn’t pick and dwell on anything specific, but all of the words that he’d said to her while he was akumatized rang through her head, the confession that had once tinged her cheeks pink, that was lost in the course of time until this moment, the way he had comforted her when she had her breakdown, how he had dropped his guitar…the one thing that meant more to him than anything, just to make her feel better. He had made sacrifices for her…and she had been blind to them…just like she had done for Adrien, and Adrien had done to her.
‘Congratulations.’ She thought to herself, before she remembered something else. “So how about that tune, will you let me hear it?” she asked, and the guitarist’s eyes widened for a brief second, if she had blinked then she would have missed it.
“Are you sure you really want to hear it?” he asked and she nodded, just as his fingers began to grip his pick and he strummed on the strings. A smile met her lips for the first time in a while, as Marinette closed her eyes and leaned her face in toward the sunlight, her feet tapping on the air to the rhythm of the song he’d made just for her. ‘Congratulations indeed.’

Standing Up.
Starting this off with saying, first and foremost; please take it easy on me, this is my first fic since 2004…second; I have read a LOT of Miraculous salt, and honestly I am just really tired of Alya being made into a racist caricature in all saltfics that I read, and I wanted to do something that seemed believable. This is intended to be a oneshot with an open ending, but…it has the potential to become more if people want to see a real resolution.
When it came to matters of the heart, Marinette Dupain-Cheng was not well versed, after all, she had just begun to learn what it was like to fall in love…and all of the intense feelings that came with it. Being new to the age of fourteen was strange in and of itself, but it had come with a lot  of new hormones and feelings to process as a result of those hormones…and right now, she was feeling a lot of heartbreak…but living in a city with an emotional terrorist had given her certain limitations, and thus eradicated the ability for her to have a healthy way to get over the intensity of the heartbreak that she felt…so she turned to new, and very welcome distractions, such as throwing herself entirely into her hobby of designing, and planning out sketches for her future designs.
It wasn’t much, but it was all that she felt comfortable with, it made her feel at ease from the pain of wondering if she had made the right choice when she confronted Hawkmoth at the end…many questions had lingered on her mind, should she have chosen Chloe over Kagami? Chloe was calling out to her…and the choice she had made…was it really pragmatic, or was she thinking with her heart instead of her head? Yes, Kagami had picked up on things rather quickly…but when she pondered it afterward, she couldn’t see anything aside from the mistake she’d made…if she had chosen Chloe, then they wouldn’t have had to face Miracle Queen…but the more she thought about it…facing Miracle Queen was the best possible outcome. She still would have forgotten to change back, due to Mayura’s distraction, and if Miracle Queen hadn’t acted like such a pompous brat, then Hawkmoth definitely would have kept all of the Miraculous for himself…and the more she thought about it like that, the more she felt that she had made the right choice…even if it was for the wrong reasons.
A sigh played on palid pink lips before she picked her pencil up and began to absently sketch out a design that played on the newspaper trope that was seemingly both in and out of fashion. A part of her wished that she could put that kind of design into the fabrics of her choice, to give it a retro-vintage look, but another part of her was certain that anything that tied to the printing press was on it’s way out. Her mind was a blank void for the moment, before she stared at the home screen of her computer. A picture of Adrien Agreste standing there, she still had yet to change it, despite having taken down a lot of the fanfare that had previously adorned her walls. “Looks like I forgot something else…” she mumbled, before she felt a slight brush of wind, and a tap on her cheek.
“Marinette! Don’t be so hard on yourself! Everyone can be forgetful!” Tikki’s charming voice rang out. A smile played on her lips for a brief moment before her soft gaze fluttered back to her computer screen and she began to search online for a picture that she knew existed somewhere, of Ladybug and Chat Noir sitting on a roof, gazing out at the city. She still wasn’t sure who had captured the photo, but it was one of her favorites, just a picture of her and Chat enjoying the moment. No flirting, no puns, no akumas…just patrolling the city in the pursuit of helping the citizens, and taking a pause for themselves afterward.
“You’re right Tikki…but as you know, sometimes it can be really hard not to chastise myself.” Marinette stated, before she finally found the photo and set that as her background. “What do you think of this design by the way?” she asked, motioning down to the paper she was sketching on and tapping on a small section of the paper with the erasure of her pencil, highlighting it for her Kwami partner.
“I think you should make it! It’d look really nice on anyone that wore it, and I know that’s important to you!” Tikki offered as Marinette’s face lit up like a Christmas tree. “You really think so? I was just sketching but, if you really think I should!” her voice was full of joy.
“Yeah! I can even help you like when you made the hat!” Tikki offered before Marinette scooped her up with both hands and placed a soft kiss to her Kwami’s forehead.
“Thank you so much Tikki!” Marinette stated before setting the kwami back down on the desk. “Now it’s time I get to work!” she stated while giving off a joking macho pose. Reaching into her pocket she sent out a few texts to Juleka, Luka, and Rose, asking each of them if they wouldn’t mind measuring each other for sizes, so that she could work on a new project, and after about 10 minutes of waiting, all three had sent separate responses with answers to her question, and upon that, she set straight off to work.
The process of making the jackets and shirts was a bit arduous, having to deal with puckered seams a bunch of the time, and becoming ultra friendly with a seam ripper, but after a while, she had finally perfected everything, and it had only taken one day and three afternoons, so for her it was record timing. Excitement filled the air as she sent texts off to Juleka, Rose, and Luka, asking if all three wouldn’t mind meeting her after school so that she could do a fitting for them, to perfect any issues in the clothing, and after that if they wouldn’t mind modeling the clothing out near Canal Saint Martin, so that she could play on the setting with the color tones of the clothing, offering each a box of macarons for their help, and to use the images on her new website. Rose and Juleka had answered with earnest, though Luka had yet to respond, but Marinette wasn’t too concerned, having believed he was just busy with his morning routine.
As she had gone through school, everything was basically the same as usual, aside from the excited glances she kept shooting back at Juleka and Rose, anticipating the afternoon.
“Girl, what’s up today, why do you keep looking back at Juleka and Rose, is something up with Kitty Section? Or is this about a certain boy in blue?” Alya teased before Marinette’s cheeks tinged pink.
“Nothing’s up exactly…I just asked the two of them if they’d model a new outfit for me is all, and I’m really excited to get it all set up on my website!” Marinette practically sang, her heart entirely set upon her work.
“Oh! You know what you need for that then? Adrien and Lila! They can totally help and give you some amazing tips to seem more professional!” Alya volunteered, which made Marinette sigh in irritation.
“I’d really rather they didn’t come.” Marinette stated, which made Alya roll her eyes.
“Look, you have to get over that he’s dating someone already, you can’t just pretend that you’re friends when you’re together but then avoid him for stuff like this that would actually help you!” Alya whisper-stated.
“No Alya, and this isn’t even about that! Besides, I’m fine, and Adrien and I are friends, I’m not pretending anything!” Marinette hissed.
“Then what, is it about your jealousy of Lila? She’s a model now girl, she really could help you!” Alya insisted, which made Marinette roll her eyes. The bell rang just at that moment, which was a godsend to Marinette. If she had to keep up with that conversation, she was going to scream. Scooping up her book-bag she slung it over her shoulder, reached into her pocket, and checked her texts. Finally, the message from Luka that she’d been waiting on!
>>>Yeah sure Marinette that sounds fun, but you really don’t need to bring the macarons, your company is enough of a present.
A smile tugged at the corner of her lips as she walked in a daze down the stairway, she wasn’t exactly in love with Luka, but he really did know how to make her feel light as air…but her mood was brought down the moment that she heard Alya’s loud voice in conversation with Lila and Adrien.
“Yeah! Marinette’s doing it today, just ask her—” Alya was midway through the sentence before Marinette stomped over.
“I already told you that I didn’t want them coming. This is private Alya, I didn’t even invite you so what makes you think that you can invite others on my behalf?!” she snapped.
“Girl like I said you need to get over your jealousy–”
“I’m not jealous! Why do you always have to make this about me being jealous!? What about this seems like jealousy?! I already have my models chosen, and since both Adrien and Lila are GABRIEL’S MUSES it would look bad on me to use either of them, for their help or for their modeling! I already told you I didn’t want them to come, but you came over and invited them anyway! Why won’t you just listen to me?! Do you want another Reflekdoll incident?! You didn’t even apologize to Juleka for that, you just left it all on me, and it wasn’t even my fault!” Marinette huffed, making motions with her hands the entire time, before finally turning her attention to both Adrien and Lila. “Look guys…I’m really sorry this isn’t about either of you, but I just wanted to spend some time concentrating on my own thing today and Alya really had no right to invite either of you. Everything is fitted to those three, and I’m doing final fitting checks for the new designs I made, it’s not even about you two, which Alya would have known if she’d have asked me first, or paid attention to when I said no!” her attention set back to Alya as both Lila and Adrien inched away slowly to get away from the splash zone of what they both perceived to be an obvious fight on the rise.
“Th-that’s fine Marinette! I understand, and I’m sure Lila does too…I’m gonna go meet my bodyguard now!” Adrien stated, before practically sprinting off.
“Marinette I don’t get it, why are you being so stubborn!? Is it really impossible to be friends with him now?” Alya begged. “I mean it’s weird enough having to plan around both of you being in the same place–”
“Nobody asked you to do that Alya! Neither of us should be unincluded! I already said it a few times now, this wasn’t about Adrien or Lila or jealousy, this was about you stomping into my already set plans and trying to take over, like you always do! It isn’t fair! Not to me, not to the people I make these plans with, not to anyone!”
“This really can’t be on me. I mean, there’s obviously something deeper–”
“No! There isn’t! Now would you stop making it a habit of stomping in on my plans and taking over!? Because I really have to go and I don’t want to keep having this conversation with you!” Marinette shot before slapping a hand to her face and huffing. “Look…we should really talk about this later, but right now…I have plans that I intend to follow through on…” and with that, Marinette took leave of the school, of Alya, and away from all of the weird looks she was getting. Her mood was clearly shot, but she wasn’t going to let that ruin the designs that she had spent days pouring her heart and soul into, or the fun she still intended to have with the Rose, Juleka, and Luka.

imagine if the oceans were replaced by forests and if you went into the forest the trees would get taller the deeper you went and there’d be thousands of undiscovered species and you could effectively walk across the ocean but the deeper you went, the darker it would be and the animals would get progressively scarier and more dangerous and instead of whales there’d be giant deer and just wow

Noir: “No, Peter. You had a knife inside of you. That’s the opposite of good.”

Black girls deserve to learn free from bias and stereotypes.
Most black girls experience this hatred at schools. And classmates are not the only problem, there is no support from teachers, too. That’s why they get so affected by their school experiences. Black kids deserve to be treated just like everybody else, they want to study, they want to learn something ,too. However due to prejudice they are 5 times more likely to be suspended than their white peers and it can ruin their lives forever.  National Women’s Law Center created this video to change the situation. Join the movement to help black girls feel normal and get the same opportunities everybody else has.
