A blog in which I occasionally interact with others and sample what this site has to offer. Neurotically apathetic and yet individualistic. Socially maladjusted writer. World-building enjoyer. Character interaction enthusiast. Dealer, analyzer, and synthesizer of information and content. Insane to a degree of certain concern. Fueled by spite.

We are gathered here tonight to mourn the death of one known as "Yokelish". Though regarded to most as a general pain in the ass and irritant of the soul, the snark and libel that poured forth did nothing if not give us a little spark of life. Yokelish will be somewhat missed.

just imagine that i sent you another gif and then you can imagine that you end that conversion in some clever way and be happy
Bold of you to assume that I would let this have that much control over my happiness.

Stop that. Yokelish is perfectly fine.
Yeah, I didn't ask you for a reason.
But since you are here...I guess... Name me.

The only blush you're gonna get is from the exertion you have to spend dodging my fists.
Stop that. Yokelish is perfectly fine.
Yeah, I didn't ask you for a reason.

I love survivors guilt so much, what do you mean you’ll betray everything you’ve lost if you make your life into something other than a monument to suffering

The way most autism literature describes "literal interpretation" is often not at all similar to how I experience it. Teenage me even thought I couldn't be autistic because I've always been able to learn metaphors easily.
In fact, I love wordplay of all kinds. Teenage me was fascinated to learn all the types of figurative language there are in poetry and literature.
But paperwork and questionnaires are hard, because there's so much they don't state clearly. Or they don't leave room for enough nuance.
"List all the jobs you've had, with start and end dates." What if I don't remember the exact day or month? Is the year enough?
"Have you been suffering from blurred vision?" Well, if I take off my glasses the whole world is blurred, but I'm fairly sure that's not what the intake form at the optometrist is asking.
Or the infamous (and infuriatingly stereotypical) "Would you rather go to a library or a party?" What sort of party? Where? Who's there? I work at a library. Am I currently at the library for work or pleasure? Does it have a good collection?
It's not common figures of speech that confound me. It's ambiguity, in situations that aren't supposed to be ambiguous.

I feel like the people who feel uncomfortable by Nahida getting shipped because she was physically and somewhat mentally a child should feel the same about Nahida getting turned into mom figure because she was physically and somewhat mentally a child. Like the standard should be the same why the latter is WAAY more acceptable in this fandom than the former

Money may not be able to buy happiness, but it could certainly give you some peace, which is as close as it gets sometimes.

I am somewhat convinced that "K-Pop Demon Hunters" was going to be some sort of industry plant show that was going to be riding the initial hype of K-Pop when it hit the mainstream for the first time, but it got delayed enough times for it to never happen at that time.
