everyone knows arthur's violent but i don't think most of them really realize that he's capable of directing that violence inward/towards family members

lizzie bringing ruby to arthur's doesn't necessarily mean that arthur was present most of the time, yet she's still bringing her somewhere where domestic violence took place. i'm somewhat disinclined to believe that lizzie really knows that - she doesn't understand that linda is afraid of arthur either, for example, even as they are writing the letters together (that's why they are there in the first place) - and in general the family seems to be a little blind to arthur's more worrying behaviour.
however, in s6 arthur is fascinatlingly conflated with the imagery/idea/figure around/of the gray man/green eyed man and the man in the shadows. both through her own sentiment of 'the voices from the chimney' which oddly reinvokes what ada says about 'santa claus [arthur] being up the chimney' (in the previous episode) and by his wearing the black shirt in the same episode.
that's in so far telling as arthur gets aligned with mosley (at least briefly for the audience), someone tommy is terrified of, and eventually in the way ruby draws an odd link between herself and tommy when it comes to this dubious male figure. 'he's coming for me, he's coming for daddy'.
whatever she's seen of her uncle it seems like it left an (rather negative) impression on her.

Another thing is that when this aggression started, we were so worried about winter and how displaced people in tents will survive it. Earlier this week the temperature in Gaza hit 38 degrees (100 Fahrenheit) and we are now wondering how will displaced people survive the heat in those tents.

"it's like hell, so nobody has to talk about it. it's out there" these people do not live in a post-trauma world where the could turn What Happened to them into a chronology or narration in order to understand themselves and each other. language not found. it's still happening.
