We had two actors. We had Mark Hamill, and we also had a picture double named Max. And we shot both on set, and we had also shot Max previously with all of the cast. Casting him was a whole thing too because we had to work with Sarah Finn [the showâs casting director] and say âLook, we want to find somebody who physically resembles what Mark looked like right after Return of the Jedi.â
The moral of knives out was entitled rich people are the same. There were various types of political leanings in the Thrombey family: leftist, liberal, conservative, alt-right. However, none of that mattered when their money was threatened, whatever political opinions they held went out the window if it meant saving their lifestyle.Â
Now itâs been disproven that Rey is a Kenobi, I still canât help but think about that little voice cameo in The Force Awakens. Like despite everything, the first voice Rey hears from the past isnât Anakin, or Yoda, or Palpatine. Itâs Obi-Wan.Â
Obi-Wanâs been dead for 34 years at that point; even if you argue that he wasnât truly at peace until Anakin returned to the light, thatâs still three decades. His story is over, his mission is complete. He can finally rest. He has no reason to linger.Â
But when a scared young girl with no master finds herself so far from home with new powers she doesnât understand, so reminiscent from that boy from Tattooine so long ago - well, who else would be the first one there to guide her steps?Â
TLDR; Obi-Wan being the first force ghost says perhaps less about who she is and more about who he is; how, after all this time, he is still the first one to help when a lost lonely kid needs a helping hand.Â
