re-upping this quote because i've been feeling the grey hands of winter a lot more this go-round even on the sunny days and literature is just the best at reminding you that the human experience is universal and is the closest thing to getting a hug from someone in the past and i love that

Felim is so so — and it can be emphasized enough — so handsome

Finally, we meet Felim Bichan:

Scottish, polite, calm, beautiful & honourable

Easy to see why he wants none of it.

But so many questions:

Why that name? Scottish? football? green???

It’s almost as though they wrote the part for him: Bichan is a variant of Buchan; Felim means ‘beautiful’ or 'ever good’; he’s half-Scottish & then there’s LFC…..

rhaenyra and alicent clashing with their sons over responsibility and duty and rhaenyra assuaging jace’s fears by trusting him with aegon’s dream and affirming him as her true heir and beloved son for his eventual ascendancy of the throne vs. alicent telling aegon that the most useful thing he can do is nothing because he will never grow into his throne and can’t be trusted with anything.
