Cloud groaned against Sephiroth’s mouth, the feel of his hands – all exploring and wondrous -- on his aching body was delicious. He laid him on the bed, still kissing him, only breaking away to move his mouth to Sephiroth’s jaw, linger on his neck, and map every patch of skin on his lovely chest.
He never let his thoughts stray much to Sephiroth’s looks in his time; it was dangerous and would drag long-buried feelings to the surface, but now Cloud wasn't so worried -- had felt both ignited and content -- and looked up, saw those intense green eyes, those flushed sharp features, that parted mouth, and he couldn't deny how utterly gorgeous he was finding Sephiroth like this, undeniably human.
It was becoming worse and worse, this need.
“Tell me…” he started, dragging his tongue low over Sephiroth’s abdomen, and pointedly cupping his ass, “tell me you have something we could use as a lube.” He planned to work Sephiroth up with only his fingers, to make him so delirious with pleasure he’d beg to be fucked -- only for Cloud to grant his wish when he least expected it, and in gentleness that would make him sob.

Sephiroth’s bedroom was both what Cloud expected and didn’t expect. The fact that he expected what the room would look like at any point in time should’ve worried him, but his mind was only focused on Sephiroth, only focused on how lovely the sight of a desirous gaze would be upon replacing the currently taunting --almost haughty -- look being cast his way.
It was a challenge, and when it came to Sephiroth, backing down wasn’t his style.
So it barely took a moment, pulling Sephiroth close and kissing him like he was dying.

As much as Cloud was waiting for acceptance, he was waiting for rejection. Sephiroth’s answer made him pause to process that he was really saying yes and so clearly. No vagueness or actions replacing the word.
He never wanted to kiss -- embrace, touch, fuck -- anyone as much as he wanted to now.
But first things first...
“We’re not doing this here.” What happened earlier was enough as it was.

Cloud didn’t normally get anyone knocking on his door -- he was away too much for his neighbors to know he even lived in the apartment-building.
Standing by the door was no neighbor, though.
There was only one person who greeted him this way, and out of them all, Yuffie was the busiest, so it surprised Cloud to see her. “Good,” he answered with a smile, glad about it nonetheless. He stood out of the way to let her come in.

After te whole Deepground indicent Yuffie had been… busy. Between her WRO duties and the fact that the jerks attacked Wutaii too she had little to no time to spend with her friends… and as soon as she had a chance to stop by Cloud’s place she didn’t hesitate to knock at his door and say hello.
“Oh haaaaaaai Spikes! How are ya?”

Cloud only blinked, stunned by the sudden change of demeanor in Sephiroth. It felt strange, to have the purr in Sephiroth’s voice heightening his desire, and to be amused by the taunting behind his words.
Just when I thought I had you figured out. He tried to suppress a chuckle but he failed. “Yeah, I did. Not that much, though.” He lived many years without needing another person’s touch, and it was only those he trusted that he let close.
Cloud knew exactly what Sephiroth was feeling. It was hard, to trust someone with his body, but at the same time, it could be so freeing to let his guard down and be rewarded with contentment instead of scars.
“I can show you if you want,” he started, his face so close to Sephiroth’s that a mere breath separated them from a kiss, but no matter how much he wanted to, Cloud wouldn’t touch him -- not unless Sephiroth made the call. “I can show you how it feels...”

She was real.
Yet Cloud felt something in the way she spoke, so soft and dis-attached at the same time - polite instead of familiar. It reminded him of the first time he ever met her, selling those ever-so-rare flowers even when chaos was breaking in Midgar.
There was no recognition of him in her eyes, and for a moment Cloud wondered if this was a cruel joke, a honey-laced nightmare.
But then, if this was a nightmare, why did feel so at peace?
Cloud lightly shook his head, not really feeling up to think himself to a heartache.
He took a step closer, saw that she didn’t seem to fear him, and asked, looking pointedly at the flowers, “Do you need help with these?”
once upon a dream |~| touslesfleurspartout.
All she could seem to focus on in that moment was tending to her flowers. She felt off. Almost as if she shouldn’t be here in this moment.
As a familiar sound rang through her ears, she stiffened. She had an overwhelming feel flood through her body, the feeling that a child gets when they are caught being naughty.
There was no way to hide, so she turned to face the familiar voice, and her heart dropped. Five hundred thoughts ran through her head. She knew him. She felt fond of him. Why couldn’t she remember who he was? He seem fragile.
She felt the urge to hug him, and hold him tight. Though she didn’t dare do it, she might break him.
Instead, she blinked. She tilted her head to the side, as if it would help him perceive him better. Finally she decided to reply.
"Yes?" She spoke softly, as to not scare him away. She felt like he would disappear if she was not careful.

The moment he asked his question, Cloud knew he overstepped it. Sephiroth was wary, there was no other way to describe it, and something clicked in the way he behaved.
Throughout their encounter, Sephiroth only responded when he initiated contact, unlike their spars where he actively pursued drawing first blood. It was as if he...
Oh.
“Sephiroth...” Cloud started, “have you... done this with anyone before?” Gaia, it sounded more awkward when he voiced it aloud.

He was driving through the wastelands leading up to Edge when he saw her, a woman in white. Usually, he didn't see anyone in these wastelands; everyone feared the monsters roaming, after all. But there she was, walking with purpose, not looking lost at all.
Something in her -- a calling, perhaps? -- made him both wary and intrigued, and he didn't realize he slowed Fenrir until he saw that she was curiously looking at him.

preventing meteor from destroying the planet was honestly a joint effort.
without aerith and her workings within the lifestream, Holy and Lifestream wouldn’t have been summoned.
without shinra and the sister ray, the barrier surrounding sephiroth wouldn’t have been destroyed.
and without AVALANCHE, Holy and Lifestream wouldn’t have been activated (sephiroth was blocking them, and defeating him cleared the way).
so, really, you can’t just say only one was the savior.
