I miss...
I miss university. I miss the reciprocity. I miss the big city. I feel like this one's too small. I miss the sprinkling of rain that the downpour makes us appreciate, and I miss the feeling of anonymity that brings about the great. The muse of blending into crowds, the feeling of a person shroud. The hood that flips up - and the face that disappears behind the mask. The flippant group of people that are the subject of the terrorist attack. I miss being part of that. I want the clouded mysteries, I want the blended histories. For some reason all I want to see is an army of people not like me. I want to fall away from here - I long for someplace over there. That rainbow shining bright, it illuminates my cold, dark night. It shines a hope upon the ground, the moonlight swoons and comes around, and in that spotlight stands empty ground. That void upon a cloudy night, I want to fill it with my fight. That rift begs to be filled. My heart yearns for the buildings tall, the ones here are so very small, and in that space the sky would fall, that's if Chicken Little were real. The spotlight that does call to me, it's something that I once didn't see, it's passed me by and winked at me. The hints it's thrown my way have curved, they've sunk, they've stung, they've left a burr. The planted evidence has sprung, it's spored, it grown, it's become far-flung. And my hopes are to join it one day, my heart it fluttered so far away.

Why is it the writing we do for ourselves is always so much better than the writing we do for others?

Terrible news out of Puerto Rico, as former Michigan Wolverine and NBA lottery pick Robert “Tractor” Traylor was apparently found dead of a massive heart attack. Known mostly for being traded on Draft Day for Dirk Nowitzki, Traylor never lived up to his potential in the NBA, but his large jovial presence was welcome in every locker room he called home. Rest in peace, big fella.

I'm not a bandwagon jumper, but would like to see Chi-Town make it out of the East this year.

I'm not usually one for quotes, but this one's worthwhile.

This was passed on to me earlier this week, all I had watched was Epic Rap Battles of History. They alone are worthwhile.
