7.30.17 || 12/100 of productivity challenge
I finished year 18 of the BSG and managed to score in the worldwide top 100 in two category and I am pretty proud of myself.
This week is the last July spread in my happy planner and I thought the idea of a “mini journal” is an good idea I would like to experiment with.  Life has been pretty hectic and I have not kept up with my normal journal and since I have a bit of blank space left in my top “general info” row, I decided to put the “mini journal” there.

7.29.17 || 9,10,11/100 of the productivity challenge
I have been super productive and super busy for the past few days and forgot to take a picture for my studyblr.  In the past two days I finalized a whole bunch of my notes and finished my homework for CH 8 of accounting. I also officially signed the paperwork to switch out of account as one of my majors and switch in to supply chain management. I know I been talking a lot about accounting in the past few days, but that’s because I am currently taking my last accounting class.  Don’t get me wrong, accounting is not a bad major, it is just not for me.  I realized that accounting have way more rule than I originally thought when I signed up for it.  I am still a finance major because in finance and supply chain management it’s more of a “here is a problem/situation, now make it work” where I can get more creative in my solutions, if that make any sense.
Today I started CH9 homework for accounting.  I also been reading Angels&Demons by Dan Brown, I ready DaVinci’s Code a few years ago before the movie came out but didn’t realize that DaVinci’s Code is actually the 2nd book in the series. I decided that this summer is the best time to pick up the first book.

7.26.17 || day 8/100 of Productivity Challenge
Today has been relatively productive.  Went to kickboxing for an hour then went to yoga for an hour (if someone could explain to me what it mean in yoga when they say things like “there are a lot of emotions stored in your hips” that would be great), then went to the library to work on some of my accounting homework.

7.25.17 || Day 7/100 of Productivity Challenge
Second to last class of accounting before my final exam for Summer Semester.  My professor provides us with lecture slides before class so I like to print those out with two slides per page.  I also like to write out “homework” questions associated with each chapter on a sticky note.  We have assigned questions for each chapter but none of these problems are taken up for a grade. they are just really good practice questions before the exam.

7.24.17 || 6/100 of productivity challenge
Went over a few lecture notes before tomorrow’s class. Final Exams for my summer classes are in 3 weeks including this week, I can do this!
Study music on spotify: I realized that I study a lot better with country music on.  This might have a bit due to the fact that I live in Texas, but I don’t do well with piano and orchestra music because I want to stop studying and just listen to them.

7.23.17|| 5/100 of the productivity challenge.
Still very, VERY obsessed with my new planner. Since it was already divided into three different portions per date, I have came up with my own way to categorize everything.  Top row is for general information such as work schedule and appointment times.  The second row is for school: study schedule, class schedule, exam date, and due dates for assignments.  The last row is for health/fitness plans.  It includes hydrating charts I “made” (printed from pinterest) for each day of the week and my workout schedule.
Year 17 of my Business Strategy Game was due today and I think I did pretty well. I am ranked 3rd with in industry however I was not able to make it to the World Wide Rank.

7.21.17 || 4/100
IT CAME!!!! My Happy Planner finally came in! I got this from the Michael’s website and most of today is spend 1) admiring how pretty it is and 2) fill it in with important dates for Fall semester.  My planner before today is one of those undated ones.  I do really like it for the summer because it is so simple and it’s less restricting.  But since I am started to get ready for Fall to start, I need something that is more “traditional planner” like, with the dates and days of the week and a lot of space to write.  This planner is also so pretty and inspiring with little cute sayings such as “ Never let success get to your head, never let failure get to your heart” and “some days I amaze myself. Other days I put keys in the fridge.”
A few things I noticed: 1) the cover is laminated. It doesn’t look cheap or anything, it’s one of those harder laminates, but I just wasn’t expecting it to be laminates. 2) when I ordered it online, I was able to choose a faux leather cover (the silver in the picture).  When I tried to put my planner in it, it was way too big for my planner.  I’m probably going to find some other use for it.

7.21.17 || 3/100
Posted this one day late.  I did some practice questions from my GMAT review book.  The “Data Sufficiency” section is a bit confusing just because I don’t encounter questions formatted this way before.  Practice makes perfect right?
The review book I use is from the “Graduate Management Admission Council” which is the people who writes the GMAT (or as I was told), this is the 13th edition published by Wiley.

7.20.17 || productivity challenge 2/100
I do like like to hand write my notes but i really do not like store bought note book papers, mostly because they are either too thin, the spacing is weird, not A4 so it fits in my binder weirdly, or a combination there of.  So I started to make my own note papers and through trial and error I have found that this works best for the way I like to take my notes.  The lines are a medium shade of gray so that when I take my notes in black pen I can still see the lines I draw with my pens.

5 tips for high school
i know this is a bit lengthy, but hear me out, i find these really helpful
AP classes: while AP classes/credits will help you with college credits and maybe even GPA and class rank, you need to look at your self and think “do i need the AP credit.” “will this really help me?” “what score do i think i can get?” of course, everyone taking an AP class want to make a 5 on the AP exam, but be realistic, how well do you think you can do on the AP exam.  im not saying that just because it’s hard you should stop trying, what im saying is that if your math grade in the past has not been ideal, and that it is very difficult to understand math concepts in the past, AP Calc might not be the class for you to take.
extracurricular classes: yes, the high leveled academic classes are very important, but this is high school. you are in the last of your years of your teens.  high school could be a time for you to really think about what you want to do, what you want to major in a university. there are many exploratory classes that are offered in high school, such as: medicine, vet, preschool education, psychology, coding, journalism, engineering etc. you may not want to go into psychology in the future, but think that it is a very interesting topic, take the class. you may want to be journalist in the future, so take a newspaper class or a yearbook class to see what it is like (very stressful, but super fun. i know cause i took it). take a music class, or an art class if that interests you.  this is extremely important if you dont know what you want to do in the future.  and why not, these classes are free in high school (idk about private school system) where when you get to university, you have to pay a lot for these experiment with classes.  another plus is that these kind of class are usually an easy A if you are really worried about GPAs.
clubs/organizations: okay, you have a million things to do and you dont want to spare time out for “unnecessary” clubs and organizations. but pick couple out that you think is interesting and go to a few of their meeting at the beginning of the school year.  you may find them super fun and want to be more involved, learn something new, meet someone new.  but if you dont like it, no worries, no commitment.  just get out there and step out of your comfort zone, this is a really useful skill once you get to university.  while you are at it, go do some volunteering work, local museum, local festival/events need  volunteers, personally i think they are very fulfilling and it make me feel really good, but it also look great on your resume when applying for university.
look your best: this sounds very superficial but it will help.  looking your best will help with boosting your self confidence and will really help with that stepping out of your comfort zone and make new friends. just feel good about your self just goes a long way.
study in groups: everyone says this helps with studying, and it is absolutely true.  you remember better when you are interacting with the information. so study in groups, you know that you really understands the material if you can teach it to someone else, and most of the times when you didnt understand what your teacher talked about in class and if going to tutorial didnt help, it helps to have a different person explain it to you.  you can also double check to see if your information/notes are correct, dont want to be studying incorrect notes
