Dan Brown's Inferno
I finished reading Inferno by Dan Brown last week. I have been reading it for quite some time since I have not been reading regularly. So I haven’t written in a while and I always think that it would be good if I could write down my thoughts on the book after I finish reading. It would be good to read it later on. Meanwhile there are some books which I absolutely loved reading like ‘Pachinko’…

Inferno, il film che mostra Firenze.
Tumblr media Tumblr media

Buona visione.

Book of the Week No.25 Deception Point by Dan Brown Rate: 10/10 Favorite Line: "There's just no substitute for the truth." Review: Dan Brown's Deception Point is his third novel first published in 2001 by Simon & Schuster. Under the genre of conspiracy and techno-thriller, this book explores the implications of history-changing scientific discovery of NASA that could be used as machination for politics. Deception Point is one of those page-turners that would really capture your attention in a much steady pace. I was able to have myself occupied of all the things happening in the book, as such that if I would get to stop reading for a while I need a quick refreshment of the the previous pages to keep me holding to the tension the book is offering. For a thriller fiction, all elements of hooks are in here. The character's movements and traits have all the depths you need for a character development. The bits and pieces of facts presented were seemed all well-researched. I don't know if Brown has background on politics but he somehow executed those political schemes and discussions successfully. I mean on all of Brown's work he really executes, just like what I have read in a Dan Brown fan page—"Like always, Dan Brown delivers." But there is something in this novel that I was really captivated. He somehow utilizes facts to make a conspiracy. I mean all those fact-checking for that alleged meteorite is all spot on. It brought the mysterious essence of plot that will make you turn the pages for more. The way the characters are well-delineated, not the casual; "This is Rachel Sexton, the daughter of a Senator." It was all applied not obviously. Dan Brown really knows how to play with the literary devices and figures of speech. Even the words like 'sagacity', 'countenance', 'sham', 'tumult' and among others. OMG, I would like to thank Dan Brown for widening by vocabulary. That said, this is indeed my main favorite of all Brown's works. #fiction #books #novel #danbrown #deceptionpoint #technothriller #mystery #scifi #technology #bookstagram #bookrecommendations #bookreview #booklover #booknerd #bookaddict #bookphotography #goodreads https://www.instagram.com/p/Cf0IFBNpVsm/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

the famous nursery poem we all laughed and frolicked about holding hands going “ ringa ringa rosie, pocket full of posie, huisha huisha we all fall down !“ is not as happy and cheery a poem that we think it is.
it actually goes:
“Ring around the Rosie , Pocket full of Posies, Ashes Ashes, We all fall down”
....and has quite a dark history associated with it.                                            ‘Ring around the Rosie is a reference to a rose coloured postule on the skin that developed a ring around it to indicate who the infected was in the Great Plague of London,1665. Sufferers would carry a pocket full of posies in an attempt to mask the smell of their own decaying bodies as well as to mask the stench of the city itself, where hundreds of victims dropped dead daily.’                                 Heh a pretty dark poem to be so blissfully enjoy completely ignorant as a toddler huh!                                                                                                              Who would’ve known back then in pre-school what ‘Ashes, Ashes. We all fall down.’ actually meant!
