So Kaiba invented the yoyo proto-duel disk thing specifically to counteract Pegasus' mind reading. Originally he fully accepted that Pegasus can read minds and believed that the device would help him stay out of range so Pegasus couldn't cheat.

And his logic is sound. There has to be some kind of limit and distance makes sense. It's not unreasonable to assume that a standard duel area is the size it is because it's big enough to make a duel into an Event while still being small enough to ensure that his opponent is always in range. And I get that Kaiba was under a lot of pressure to come up with something immediately, but in his haste, I think he overlooked some things.

I don't believe there was any evidence that distance was a limitation for Pegasus -it could've been that he could only read one mind at a time no matter the distance- or how far that distance would actually be.

But this is also the guy who looked The Friendliest Punk-Goth in Japan in the eye, saw that he was fueled by The Divine Power of Friendship, and never once thought "if I just told him that my brother was being held hostage, Yugi would help me in any way to get him back" so maybe he was just having bad brain time

I think most of Tumblr's attempts at world building religion are absolutely terrible because:

1. They think that only stupid people are faithful, anyone who's 'enlightened' won't be religious

2. Religions are some sort of centuries long con/conspiracy used to manipulate people (therefore no religion is real ever)

3. Are trying to make pantheon ala Greek/Roman mythology, but their knowledge is exclusively from Percy Jackson and the Tumblr-ified/woobified versions online

4. Legitimately believe that religion is just an accessory, (ie. A person is a Christian if they wear a cross, a person is Muslim if they wear a head covering)

5. They have an inability to engage with or write from the perspective of someone who's different from them

And the sad thing is that this could be so easily resolved if they were just willing to research (and do it on a place that isn't Tumblr or another social media platform)

Way to shit all over a vital access need because you think straws are worse than corporate greed.

We all care about the turtles, the seals, the oceans, obviously. Notice how the easiest thing to yell about was something that would barely affect anything but appealed heavily to emotional discourse.

The disabled community is huge, and it can be joined by anyone. Most of those As Seen On TV products were invented for us. Society still mocks us and ignores us, and often outright harms us in multiple ways.

Communicate better. Listen better. But stop putting us out in the cold because you are inconvenienced by our simplest needs.

We have got to start mocking bad spelling and grammar again. I'm not talking about tongue in cheek stuff for the bit, I'm talking about people just writing phonetically because they truly can't spell. And they'll never learn because they're grown adults who will never be corrected.
