In the original manga, Eisuke is understandably freaked out by a near stranger getting way too close while holding him by the shirt and insisting that he was messing around about seeing someone peeking through a locked window.

The anime, though? He just seems a bit startled, then annoyed.

Quirk: Luck Drain Effects: If Eisuke touches another person, he can steal luck for himself. Effects currently last up to 15 minutes before they revert, and direct hand contact is required. Other info: Motivations come from wanting to be a hero like his sister, but he can't really say that because Hidemi's a vigilante and he doesn't want to out her given that's illegal. (Whoops.) Publicly, his reason is wanting to pay forward having had his life saved twice. Currently in second year. Because robots don't have luck to steal, he was initially in General, but managed to work his way up to Heroics. He's still somewhat behind his new classmates, but catching up fast. He's still a klutz, but not as badly as in canon. Training is helping with that.

“Ghosts aren’t real.” It was a lie, but one that most people would buy. After all, ghosts weren’t supposed to be real, right?

((Actually, Eisuke’s life is far rougher than it ever had to be:

-He got leukemia at a very young age. (And apparently, bone marrow transplants are not the first thing typically used to combat leukemia, which carries the implication that it got pretty bad.)

-His mother died of an unspecified illness.

-He got hit by a car at around age seven.

-Hidemi vanished for ten years.

-His father died, and he might not know his father died.

-A number of people at the mansion he lived at when his mother worked there ended up being murdered some time later, either to silence them or as part of a revenge plot.

-He nearly ended up stabbing Hidemi when he found her due to a misunderstanding.

If Eisuke ever comes back, can he please be cut a break? Please? I don’t want him to come back only for Hidemi to end up dead or something.))

Verse Update

((Since it’s October, I figured now is a good time to rework Eisuke’s Ghost Seeing verse.))

-The basic setup is the same, but with the reworking in place the ghosts refuse to leave him alone on figuring out he can see them.

-After continuous pressure to help them move on, Eisuke ended up just becoming a detective in order to have an excuse for what he’s doing.
