The Mind Palace scene in Sherlock would be a great parody of deduction scenes in detective media. A man has to filter his powerful deductive mind through Sousa, dog breeds, and Elvis to discover that Liberty IN stands for Liberty, Indiana, something that would pop up instantly in a simple search on Google or Wikipedia. Instead the scene is completely sincere and inspired dozens of "how to THINK like SHERLOCK HOLMES" articles and is meant to make us think he's very cool and smart (though it is unintentionally very funny)
