Nah. Daisy’s actually got a true main verse where it’s just her and the camp! I mean that’s how the blog started out, after all! So really unless I’m doing art specifically with other co counselors, it’s all pretty much just her, David, and Gwen.

“Oy! Who wants to learn some Aussie Christmas songs?”

“Well, there’s warm drinks, skating, house decorating, tree decorating, Christmas carols, chestnuts, desserts, turkey dinners– does Australia get snow? I feel like that’ll be the biggest difference.”

“We get some snow. Not ‘cross the whole country since most places don’t really go below 10° Celsius, but in some parts it snows. Mostly down south.” He shrugged. That answered that question. He hadn’t really had too much experience with snow himself, since he mostly stuck around the northern parts of the country. Mostly for Emmett’s sake.

“But it does sound like your Christmas is just about the same as ours.” Another big smile, and he shifted the lizard still resting on his shoulders a bit. “Betcha don’t have your Santa Claus riding in a ute pulled by eight ‘roos, though.” A thought struck him, and his smile widened. “You know, I should probably start teachin’ the little anklebiters some Australian carols.”

“Sure am!” He chuckled, and he couldn’t help but smile. “And I gotta say, you look good with antlers. What d’you think, E?” Emmett, as the question was now posed to him, simply flicked his tongue at Daisy, although maybe it was a bit more interestedly? Well, who knows. But Zack was certainly enthusiastic about the upcoming holiday.

“You think you might be down to lend a hand with the decorations?”

“Of course! Me an’ Emmett are all decked out! Mind if I ask what you all do around this side o’ the globe for Christmas? Can’t be too different from Australia, right?”

He couldn’t help but laugh, shaking his head a bit. He hadn’t meant for David to actually get attacked by the badger, but.. Well. What happens, happens.

“Sorry ‘bout that, mate! He’s in a bit of a mood.” He remarked. “Found him digging through the cabin wall.” He was taking this chance to put on a pair of thick leather gloves, before scruffing the badger and picking him up again.

“Looks like I’ve got some more beasties for Wildlife Camp activities.” At this point, he’s found a barn owl, a badger, and a den of foxes. Not to mention his own pet goanna of course. All good creatures to teach the campers about.

“This baby is beautiful, and she doesn’t get enough appreciation around here.” Don’t mind him, he’s just cradling Muack like she’s his newborn child and petting her gently. Just like he loves his pet goanna, Zack absolutely adores this platypus.

“Hey. Someone told me you like reptiles.” Excuse him as he’s currently carrying his four and a half foot goanna, the reptile in question currently flicking his tongue at Dakota, staring in what could only be considered curiosity.

Dakota was surprised the other man was even talking to him, let alone showing him a rather large lizard. He had to fight to keep his excitement at bay, “I-is that a goanna?!“ He held out a hand for the lizard to smell, unable to keep the smile off of his face. “They’re beautiful. What’s their name?“ He hadn’t even seen one of these in person, and here he was, face to face with the giant reptile!

“This big fella’s Emmett. Say hi, E.” Emmett, of course, took his time smelling Dakota’s hand, totally relaxed in Zack’s hold. “He’s a lace goanna, super relaxed, and I’d say he likes you already.” His statement apparently proven now by Emmett attempting to climb from his owner to this new human.

No words. Just.. is she dumb on purpose? Or actually this fucking ignorant? It didn’t take him long to retrieve the badger, though, carrying it out of the Counselors’ Cabin to show it off.

“Say it with me. Badger.”

She studied the rather large creature, carefully noting the black fur and white stripes on his face. 

“Dude that’s not even close to a platypus.”

.....Three.. Two.. One...

“HOW FUCKIN’ DUMB ARE YOU?! I said three times it ain’t a bloody platypus, ya dipstick!” He took a deep breath, trying to calm his frustration, trying to focus, and then.. “Wherever your sense is at, it’s gone walkabout, mate.. Gone fuckin’ walkabout..”
