Witchcraft 101:
Cleansing vs Uncrossing vs Banishing
Tumblr media
Alright witches. Lets dive into some witchy basics and discuss the differences between cleansing, uncrossing and banishing. This will hopefully help you differentiate between them. But.. lets be honestly if you do something like call a spell an uncrossing when "technically" doing a banishing, who cares its all in good spirit. The reason i think its good to have a difference in mind between these falls into how you handle a spell. If I'm doing an uncrossing vs a banishing i would choose different spell ingredients, maybe work with different gods, or choose a different element to work with.
Cleansing: I consider cleansings as the foundation and most basic of these. Its almost an umbrella term the other two fall under. All banishings are cleansings, but not all cleansings are a banishing. Cleansings are when you're trying clear something away. Most often people will use this term in day to day workings and general upkeep to make sure nothing has stuck to them. This would include more casual things like smoke cleansing, showering and asking the water to cleanse you, sound cleansing, etc. Its not a full spellworking or ritual, but still done with energy and intention. Sometimes you may do a cleansing and realize whatever is there, is stuck deeper then you expected. So you take the next steps and do a more "intense" cleansing like an uncrossing or banishing.
Uncrossing Spells: Uncrossing specifically refers to removing unwanted energy. Usually when discussing what is an uncrossing, I sperate it from just a cleansing by describing it as a very intense cleansing where you're trying to strip away intense and specific energy. These are more work and a step up from an everyday cleansing for more intense scenarios. This is very spirit focused; think of it as taking out the bad and putting in the good. Some types of spells I would consider an uncrossing are: removing hexes/jinx/curses, removing the evil eye, spiritual detoxes, road openers, removing any stubborn energy, removing feelings, etc. I associate uncrossings with water: it's soaking in and getting that energy out. I would choose herbs/spell ingredients that are uplifting and purifying. Think salt, rosemary, rue, and lemons.
Banishing Spells: Banishing spells remove unwanted entities, spirits or people. You can use it to get rid of very deep rooted things like habits or insecurities. Banishings are quite a strong forms of spellwork. You're really kicking something out and away from you when you do a banishing. Its connected to more deep rooted things that you're trying to remove from your life. Some types of spells I could consider a banishing: cord cutting, exorcisms, banishing a spirit attached to you, getting rid of insecurities, freezers, etc. I associate banishings with fire. Burn and gtfo. I would choose herbs that have more of a kick to them and are defensive. Think nettle, blackberry leaves, cloves, even pepper in some cases.
Please note this doesn't have to be something strict. Like i said at the beginning this is just a guide that will help you differentiate so you can tackle the spellwork as effectively as possible.
✨Stay Spooky ✨

Essential Oil Magickal Correspondences
Tumblr media
Our ancestors used oils in ceremony and ritual hundreds and even thousands of years ago. Because many essential oils are still available, we can continue making our own blends today. In the past, oils were created by placing oil or fat over a heat source, and then adding fragrant herbs and flowers to the oil. Many companies today offer synthetic oils at a fraction of the cost of essential oils (essential oils are the ones actually extracted from a plant). However, for magickal purposes it’s best to use authentic, essential oils – these contain the magickal properties of the plant, which synthetic oils do not have.
The Basics of Blending
While many commercial vendors would have you believe that there’s some Super Secret Magickal Method for blending oils, it’s actually pretty simple. First, determine your intent – whether you are creating a money oil to bring you prosperity, a love oil to boost your romantic encounters, or a ritual oil to use in ceremony.

An Introduction to Shadow Work
Outside of beginner material, shadow work is the topic I get asked about most. It’s also one I’ve been most reluctant to tackle. I don’t think the climate of witchblr lends itself well to deep dives on intensely personal practices like shadow work because someone will always be there to contest it. It has to vary widely; what I say here will not be helpful to many people and I don’t pretend this series is definitive in any way. So my standard disclaimer applies: take what is useful and leave the rest.
What is Shadow Work?
In the simplest terms, it’s a form of spiritual self therapy. It’s about looking into the shadows of ourselves where we hide the unsavory unpleasant parts of ourselves and reintegrating them. The goal is to be more whole, to be our full selves.
It requires us to pull from two directions: whatever is inside of me is valid and worthy of respect but whatever harm it causes is my responsibility to mitigate.
While there’s nothing inherently spiritual about self-reflection and acceptance, the term shadow work is usually used in pagan communities to denote a type of practice that is. It might involve deities, spirits, and spellwork – all with the goal of reintegrating the self.
Why do Shadow Work?
I can’t speak for others but I’ll share the reasons I do it. Shadow work for me is integral to my work with the Morrigan. She demands I face my fears and not let them have control over me. Sovereignty is vitally important to her and knowing oneself is a key part of establishing it. Shadow work aligns very nicely with what she wants for me and expects of me.
Anecdotally, I’ve found it’s greatly improved my divination and spellwork abilities. We often look for blocks externally but many blocks are internal. Shadow work has helped me resolve many of them.
I also just like taking a spiritual approach to being my whole self. It’s helped me find deep meaning in setting better boundaries and communicating my thoughts and feelings with openness.
Prerequisites for Shadow Work
These are the skills I found necessary to do shadow work in any meaningful capacity. While I’m sure some folks can do shadow work without them, my shadow work always suffered if these weren’t in place and reasonably stable.
Mindfulness
I’m not sure that shadow work is possible without some sort of mindfulness practice. It doesn’t have to be meditation but something that allows you to separate from your thoughts enough to watch them is vital. I get this from meditation presently but I used to get it from running, mowing the lawn, or knitting – anything where my mind had to concentrate on one thing but not so complicated as to require a lot of complex thinking. The ability to watch your own mind without getting lost in it definitely required for shadow work, not something that develops by doing it. I’m sure there are people out there who’ve figured out how to make it work but that has not been my experience even second hand.
Self Soothing
Self soothing is related to mindfulness but I feel it deserves it’s own category. Mindfulness is necessary in order to even look at difficult parts of yourself but self soothing is necessary so your reactions to that don’t escalate and cause problems. For instance, if in your shadow work you turn up ways you’ve unknowingly hurt someone you care about – it’s vital not to let that spiral into shame and depression. You need to be able to be there for yourself. For me this looks like saying nice things to myself, doing something nice for myself, or distracting myself from the block until I can work on it again.
Self Care
Self care is kind of a loaded buzz word these days but I draw heavily from a model I heard presented by Dr. Meg-John Barker which divides self care into kindness and reflective practices. I add in maintenance as well because other types of self care are very difficult with out it.
Maintenance self care is about the day to day grind – paying your bills, brushing your teeth, feeding yourself. While I by no means think you need to have this kind of self care mastered – I did quite a lot of shadow work while living in the back of my car in college – it certainly helps. Survival concerns are likely to disrupt shadow work, so the better able you are to keep up with the day to day business of taking care of yourself then the easier keeping up with shadow work will be.
Kindness self care is the pintresty instagramy kind. It’s what most people think of when they think self care but it’s also why I think self care gets so distorted because it’s so publicized. For me, it makes more sense when you consider it in terms of a relationship. I find it helpful to imagine what I’d most like my partner to do for or with me and then do it for myself. It’s a way to show yourself you care about yourself beyond the day to day grind. But you also don’t want to use this as an excuse to enable unhelpful behaviors, especially ones whose underlying causes you’re trying to reintegrate. My current kindness self care practice revolves around making time for my letter writing and crocheting and also making myself tea more often. It’s simple but it helps me feel like I value myself.
Reflection self care is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a way to process thoughts and feelings. Journaling or other creative outlets work well for this. My bullet journal is the main way I currently fill this role. While shadow work will likely require this in some form, it’s good to have experience doing it more regularly and more neutrally. I stopped journaling for a while because I used to only journal when I was upset and working through blocks and so I associated it too much with that to use it to process neutral or happy events too. It’s only in the last two years I’ve reclaimed the practice as self care rather than shadow work and it’s made a world of difference.
Safety Planning
This part is very important given that most people I’ve known who are drawn to shadow work have a history of mental health challenges. Safety planning is preparing a set of instructions for yourself when you’re in a bad or even dangerous headspace. There are plenty of websites that give guidance for developing your own safety plan: this one and this one are my favorites. It’s often overlooked in not just shadow work but mental health services as a whole which is why I’m not surprised so few people take the time to do it. I’ll likely be making a separate post that goes more into depth about it.
Don’t neglect this. You might feel fine now, but shadow work can dredge up very difficult emotions and you want to keep yourself safe.
Should you do Shadow Work?
If you’re considering doing shadow work, here are some questions to ask yourself.
How often in the last few months have you needed to use your safety plan or how often have you had major disruptions in your daily life due to mental health concerns?
If you’re regularly experiencing disruptions or needing to resort to your safety plan, then now may not be the best time to embark on it. Building a good foundation of stable mental health and a solid self care practice will make shadow work much more helpful in the end. Doing shadow work when you’re unstable can actually cause existing problems to get worse so please value your safety and wellbeing when deciding whether to pursue it.
Do you already practice all three kinds of self care regularly? How regularly?
I really do think shadow work shouldn’t be added to your practice until you can care for yourself regularly. Can it be done with out that? Definitely. But god does it make it so much easier. And if it’s easier, you’re more likely to see it through.
What influences make self care difficult to keep up with?
Whatever influences make self care hard to keep up with – those are the same influences that make it hard to keep up with shadow work. Disrupted shadow work is tricky because it can mean opening up boxes of uncomfortable beliefs and experiences that spill over into other parts of your life the longer they stay unresolved. Which isn’t the end of the world but it can definitely be hard to deal with.
How well can you self soothe/comfort yourself when you’re upset?
It’s absolutely vital that you’re able to calm yourself down. If you’re doing shadow work right, you’ll encounter parts of yourself that are truly upsetting to confront. And you need to be able to be there for yourself. If that’s something you can’t do right now, then I absolutely don’t recommend adding it to your practice.
What do you stand to gain by doing shadow work?
I think shadow work is a practice that can be of use for beginners and advanced practitioners alike. But it really helps to know your why. Shadow work done well demands discomfort so knowing why you’re doing it can help you push through it and grow. There are as many reasons to do shadow work as there are people doing shadow work.
Methods and Conclusion
I’ll be writing many more posts in this series about the actual methods I use for shadow work, but if you’re interested in easing into it, I recommend checking out my Self Awareness Challenge and my post on SOAP Journaling. I’ve used elements of both in my shadow work and found them very helpful.
I hope this has helped you get a better idea of what the purpose of shadow work is and what you’ll need in order to do it.

Lilith
Tumblr media
Lilith is the Goddess of:
Love
Demons
Beauty
Wisdom
Life
Rebirth
Fertility
Motherhood
Inner strength
Illumination
Mysteries
Spiritual initiation
The night
The evening star
Vampires
Lilith is said to to be Adams first wife before Eve and was exiled due to her independence and her ways of thinking.
Modern day has taught most to fear her, but her intents are pure. She tells us to take back our power. She calls to us to stand in our truth, embracing our dark and light equally.
She tells us to stop playing small and being afraid of burning too passionately for worry of being misunderstood in the eyes of others. Our fire is not for them she tells us, it is for us!
Lilith represents the dark sexual raw parts of us that are instinctual and ugly. Things we don’t like to acknowledge, but they are as much apart of our being as anything else.
She is a rebel, an exile, a survivor, and she’s not afraid to get what she wants. Despite the negativity that surrounds her in astrology, she’s within each and every one of us and she’s not a source of evil but of power. Embrace your Lilith and you embrace yourself.
Tumblr media
Some symbols that represent her are:
Owls
Serpents
Dark Moon
Lilith’s glyph
Crossroads
Some offerings for this deity are:
Incense- sandalwood, rose, mugwort, myrrh, or dragon’s blood
Red, black or purple candles
Images of owls, snakes, bats, cats, and spiders
Crystals- black obsidian, carnelian, red Jasper and garnet
Fruit- apples, grapes, berries and fig
Wine, root beer, rum, liquor and tea
Moon water or storm water
Prayer to Lilith
“Lilith, I invoke you, I adore you, I desire you, Lilith, goddess of darkness, illuminate my temple in black light, Lilith, kindle me in excitement of the flesh under the domain of the mind, Lilith, great mother, sister, lover, give me the cup of knowledge, Lilith, I am drunk from your breasts, I take hold of your majesty, Lilith, timeless abyss, you destroy my fears revealing the secret knowledge, Lilith, unleash your legions against my enemies, Lilith, consume me in your embrace, in the swirly starring horizon.”

Sexual Energy and the Demonic Divine
Disclaimer: obviously this post mentions generally sex ( so avoid if uncomfortable) but I do feel it is important for those with beginning interest in working with demons to understand.
Something I have noticed especially with newer people to the community sometimes is a human feeling sexual attraction “from” a demon straight out, and that is what draws the human to connect with the demon. I would like to offer some clarification around this phenomenon. Demons and demonic energy are and can be very attuned to the lower chakras ( or primal, sexual, more rooted energy centres) in humans and in connecting with a demon their energy can- by matter of course, awaken the lower chakras ( energy centres). The lower chakra energies are often neglected in the spiritual paths and in humans and are often times blocked. The lower chakras are also more primal and sexual energies. So when a person first connects to demonic energy, they can feel sexually aroused. This DOES NOT mean that a demon is wanting sex with you, is sexually attracted to you, is deliberately arousing you, or is even interested in such a relationship with you. This is very important for people to understand. It is simply how their energies can interact with humans. I also suspect that because demonic energy is of the darkness and a lot of healthy sexual energies are repressed among humans collectively, that simply by connecting to the darkness it can bring about confrontation with this shadow and previously unexamined energies.
Also please check first- get consent from the demon/DL/ being ( yourself- don’t just go by what others have said the demon does) before offering sexual energy. Some may be okay with it, but some may not be- and it is very important in working with them to respect this- no matter your feelings or arousal state in the matter. Consent is key- even with otherworldy beings, just as much as it is with humans. Also I shouldn't need to add this but to reiterate; treating a Demon/DL or god (or any otherworldy being) as simply for sex or wanting sex or simply to have sex with is extremely diminishing to them. Even if you do engage in a sexual relationship (consented to and desired by all parties) with them or give regular sexual offerings- There is so much more to the demonic Divine then this one facet. Please remember and respect this.

Fae Work
As typical, here’s some definitions before I get into it
Fae- there are a lot of meanings out there for the fae but generally it is agreed that the fae describes a collection of creatures, rather than just one species, that interact with humans and do not conform to human ideals of manners and communication. Humans often describe them as as malicious and rude but do not believe that, the fae a distinguished group with their own rules of behaviour. They will not wrong you as long as you do not wrong them.
The first rule of working with the fae: do not go back on promises. If you begin working with the fae by giving an offering every day at the same time, make sure you maintain that schedule. They will become upset if you miss days and you will have to win back their trust, which you may never do. This also applies to spoken agreements. Although I have not worked with the fae personally, I do know that they are also compassionate, so if you do need to part ways permanently or for a short vacation, make them aware and offer up extra offerings. Working with the fae is a full time job
There are several rules you will need to be conscious of when working with/thinking of working with them
The Fae operate on a black and white thinking. There is no middle ground.
Do not give your true name and do not ask for their true name. True names give them power over you, or the other way around.
Not all of them will be the exact some. Some do have that trickster side to them. Make sure to always use protection when working with them and cleanse your space regularly. Do not use white sage or smudging, this will be addressed next week when I speak on respecting closed practices.
Do not accept food and drink if they give you gifts. Same as the story of Persephone with the pomegranate, it will tie you to their plane of existence.
Do not lie. They do not take well to deception. Fae do not lie either, but may twist their words and find loopholes so what they say should not always be taken at face value. You are allowed to do the same back, just do not lie
The offerings they accept are always organic- avoid giving them chemicals or anything that can’t be found in nature- and learn towards the sweet side. Jams, spices or seasonings, fruits, that sort of thing would be good. Leave these offerings in the same spot or close to the same spot every time. If you breed some bad blood with them, a good offering will always be milk and honey. This is also the go to offering if you do not actually work with the fae and have to deny something they try to give you
The fae that live in your area, if they take an interest in you, are known to leave you offerings as well. This may be a rock, some sort of plant, something that can be found in nature. If you accept the offering, say voice your appreciation, put it on your altar, and provide an offering for them as well. From there, it will be repeated work and you will learn your way around it.
If you deny the offering, leave it where it is and voice that. DO NOT say thank you or sorry in any situation, even if you have accepted it. That will lead them to assume you have accepted that you owe them or that they want to work with you and will get you bad blood when they do not receive an exchange. Leave them milk and honey next to the offering when you voice that you do not want to work with them. Milk or honey alone will also work. This makes it so they know that you are not disrespecting them and you simply do not wish to work with them at the time.
Let me know if you would like more detail or find an issue with the post! Blessed be

Loki’s always struck me as a bit of the wandering bard type. Can’t get it out of my head that he’d put on a great show at a Renaissance Faire, so I cobbled together some sketches.

Baneful Magic & Methods🌙
Tumblr media
🖤Disclaimer: I do not believe in the 3-fold law or the Wiccan rede. These methods are things I use in my own practice and am choosing to share. Please do your own research!
What is Baneful Magic?
Many people confuse the term "black magic" with baneful magic. The term "black magic" is actually a racist term and should not be used to describe baneful workings. This is also the same for the term "white magic" being used to describe healing magic.
Baneful magic is magic cast against someone or something with menacing or harmful intent. Baneful magic can be used to speed up the consequences of someone actions towards you or they can be used to block people from benefiting from their work. In my practice, I believe that if baneful work is not warranted (i.e there is no real reason for it to be done), it will not work. This means that I never cast a baneful spell unless I believe it to be truly worth the time and effort.
Baneful rituals can be very simple and low energy or they can be very intense and complex. This honestly depends on what kind of spell work you are doing and what you are doing it for. For example, a baneful ward is something that I would consider to be low energy because you set it up once and as long as it remains intact, it continues to work. However for me, a higher energy baneful spell would be a "stop gossiping" spell because the ingredients I would use are harder to find. Baneful works also depend on the amount of correlations you want to include. For example, do you want the spell to coincide with a specific day of the week, moon phase or month. Maybe you want to perform it during a specific season or ask for help from a specific entity, all these factors should be taken into account when performing these workings.
Some of my Favourite Methods:
Hex water- Adding names to hex water can be a really low energy way of ensuring that someone must deal with the consequences of their actions (I use this as more of a "karma" insurance but it can be used as a full on hex).
Freezer spells- some people may argue that this isn’t very baneful but it's one of my favourite and most used methods. Freezer spells can be used to essentially "freeze" people’s influence over you or block them from being able to reach you. You can do this with items as well (when I was quitting smoking, this is how I did it). You can freeze names with regular water or you can bind them first and freeze them in hex water.
Return-to-senders- another one of my favourite spells, this spells is used to return unwanted or harmful energy back to the source that cast it (which is why people always say to tether your hexes to something other than yourself). You can also add a bit of a kickback to these spells or return them with 3 times the energy if you are feeling a little vengeful.
Mirror spells- again one that might not be considered baneful but can be adjusted. The way I use these spells is to make the recipient "look in the mirror" and take an objective look at their actions. This often involves ensuring that they can't run from their problems and must deal with the consequences of their actions. Other variations of this exist as well, you are only limited by your imagination with this one.
Sending a spirit- depending on your relationship with specific spirits, you can petition them to do the work for you. This usually works best if you already have a close working relationship with the spirit you are petitioning but you can also contact spirits you don't normally work with as well. I have seen this work using house spirits, familiars, the dead, deities and many more. It's important for me to stress that how you go about this and the results achieved will depend on the spirit you ask and your relationship with that spirit.
Baneful Work & Ethics:
Witchcraft in general does not have a standard or set guidelines for what is ethical and what is not. Many witches may come to a consensus on what they believe to be ethical based on shared morals or opinions but in reality, it's all fair game. Just because I believe or follow one thing, doesn't mean you have to or will.
It is important for you to determine your own ethical guidelines before practicing baneful magic. I say this because it is very easy, when things go wrong or you are feeling hurt, to just cast magic against whatever or whoever you want but it is not always helpful or necessary. Having guidelines and sticking to them is an important part of baneful practices (they can always change and evolve but the most important thing is that you don't compromise on them when you are emotional). Here are a few guidelines I stick to, feel free to use them if they resonate with you.
Never cast without reason- I will only spend my time and energy on things that are really important to me. If the person I am casting against is already a waste of space in my life, they will also probably be a waste of time.
Never cast emotionally- I will wait several weeks before I decide to cast against someone. If what they did is really bad enough to warrant my energy and time then it's probably something I'll still be upset about weeks or months later.
Never cast against someone you live with or cannot cut out of your life- this one is kind of self explanatory but casting against someone you live with is bad news. You will be affected by your own working and will end up having to reverse it.
Know how to reverse your workings- things can always go wrong so make sure you have a back up plan and a really good uncrossing spell on hand.
Know yourself- it's important to do some reflecting before you hex. Ask yourself how you may have contributed to the situation. Are upset or are you projecting past traumas onto someone? What would you have done if the roles were reversed? Questions like these are tough to answer but help determine if a hex is really warranted or not.
Protect then hex- if you are casting against someone who lives with children or pets, you may choose to do a protection working on them before performing your hex. The energy a hex has often affects other people around the recipient and children/animals do not deserve to be negatively affected by the actions of someone else.

Miscellaneous Laws and Philosophies
This is another grimoire extract featuring a compiled list of philosophies, paradoxes, laws of life and physics.
Some of these might be particularly helpful to your practice if you wish to apply them, for example the philosophy of similarity or Newton's laws of motion. Or perhaps you’re like me and just find them interesting to list -some of these, I will admit, I chose to include for a bit of a giggle.
-Absurdism: The philosophical theory that life is absurd with no meaning or higher purpose and can not be understood by reason.
-Acton’s Dictum: Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men.
-Backwards Law: The harder you try the less likely you are to succeed. In psychology, this is also called the ironic process theory.
-Brandolini's Law: The amount of energy needed to refute bullshit is an order of magnitude bigger than the amount it took to produce it.
-Buttered Cat Paradox: Cats always land on their feet. Buttered toast always lands butter side down. If you tape a slice of buttered toast to a cat what will happen when you drop them?
-Catch-22: A situation in which someone is in need of something that can only be had by not being in need of it.
-Clarke's Laws:
The Old Scientist: When a distinguished but elderly scientist states that something is possible, they are almost certainly right. When they say that something is impossible they are very probably wrong.
Possibility: The only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little ways past them into the impossible.
Magic: Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
-Finagle's Law: An addition to Murphy’s law “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong” will at the worst possible moment.
-Gibson's Law: For every PhD there is an equal and opposite PhD.
-Hanlon’s Razor: Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity. Or, do not invoke conspiracy as explanation when ignorance and incompetence will suffice, as conspiracy implies intelligence.
-Hedonism: A group of philosophical theories centred around pursuing and defining pleasure, referring to both large activities like sex or recreational drugs and small activities like reading a good book or watching a sunset.
-Humphrey’s Law: Conscious attention to a task normally performed automatically can hinder its performance.
-Ironic Process Theory: The psychological process whereby an individual’s deliberate attempts to suppress certain thoughts makes those thoughts more persistent.
-Lem’s Law: No one reads; if someone does read, they do not understand, if they do understand, they immediately forget.
-Muphry’s Law: If you write anything criticising, editing, or proofreading, there will be a fault of some kind in what you have written (the name is a purposeful misspelling of Murphy's law).
-Murphy’s Law: Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.
-Newton’s Flaming Laser Sword: What cannot be settled by experiment is not worth debating.
-Newton’s Laws of Motion:
Law of Inertia: Objects will stay in rest or in motion unless an outside force causes a change.
F = ma: Force = mass x acceleration meaning the acceleration of an object depends on the object's mass and the force acting upon it.
Action and Reaction: For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction meaning when two objects meet each other they apply force to one another that are equal in magnitude but in the opposite direction.
-Nihilism: Based on the rejection of religious and moral principles and the belief that life is meaningless. Many people see nihilism as depressing and nihilistic people as miserable and annoying, that may be true for some but nihilism also provides the freedom to create and express yourself without social boundaries. There are two types of nihilists: those who say “life is meaningless so why bother?” and those who say “life is meaningless so why not?”.
-Occam's Razor: The philosophical principle that the simplest explanation is usually the best one. When presented with two competing hypotheses that have the same prediction, one should choose the hypothesis with the least variables and assumptions.
-Papert’s Principle: Some of the most crucial steps in mental growth are based not simply on acquiring news skills, but on acquiring new administrative ways to use what one already knows.
-Paradox of Hedonism: When one pursues happiness itself, one is miserable; but, when one pursues something else, one achieves happiness.
-Philosophy of Similarity: Based on the degree of resemblance objects have to one another using their shared properties. This is built on recognising certain patterns like colour or taste and then comparing them to others.
-Rothbard’s Law: Everyone specialises in their own area of weakness.
-Sagan Standard: Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
-Solipsism: The philosophical view that the self or the mind is the only thing that is known to exist and anything outside of that is unsure and undefined.
-Stein's Law: If something can not go on forever, it will stop. If a trend can not go on forever, there is no need to make it stop, much less make it stop immediately; it will stop of its own accord.

🪐What In The World Is Warding?!🪐
Howdy! It’s your friendly neighborhood witch here: Let’s talk about warding!
Warding is any form of magick intended to protect a person/place/thing from a negative entity/energy
Warding is most often used in either a personal sense, or a spatial sense, let’s do a deep dive into what that actually means
SPATIAL WARDING ~~~~~
Spatial wards are put on SOMETHING or a PLACE/SPACE/NON HUMAN THING with the intention to protect it. This could be warding your room or entire house by contacting the egregore, this could be casting a circle when you are about to do a spell, etc etc. This is not the same as warding a piece of jewelry though, that goes into the next type of warding: Personal Warding
PERSONAL WARDING ~~~~
Personal wards are created with the intent to protect a person (most likely YOU, the practitioner). These are most often portable/wearable like jewelry or in some cases crystals! A lot of the time, you can create some wards to be both personal and spatial, in essence killing two birds with one stone
