Meet Ciri Berry!
Generation 1: Mint 🍃
Traits: Vegetarian, Materialistic, Grouch (I changed the Jealous trait to Grouch, because I think it suited even better (it is also green so I let myself have that))
Aspirations: Chief of Mischief and StrangeVille Mystery (added the StrangerVille one just for funsies)
I started playing this save some time ago, so there's not many screenshots right from beginning, because I just wanted to get my mind of things and do silly gameplay. But after a while, I got invested in the story and wanted to share, so here we go xD
Anyways, here you can find @lilsimsie's and @alwayssimming's Not So Berry challenge rules! I'll bend them, when I bend them, dear reader, so don't come for me!

Cutie ~
Greyson aged up and Cassie is in love. She has not thought of any other man since this little boy came into her life. Literally she's had no wants to meet up with Johnny or Kyle or any of her dates. I guess that unflirty trait is doing it's job. It's not about romantic love anyway, it's all about cash.
Grayson is also definitely Kyle's son just in case we were unsure. But he grows to be his twin later. 🤭

Though it sounded like there should be more to her sentence, it cut off abruptly there. Her furtive glance made it clear his response was the only end to her sentence she was looking for. His grip around her wrist loosened sliding down into what could be misconstrued at a distance as hand holding.

When she looked like that, his heart couldn't help but soften in return.
"Fine." He finally spoke. "I'll be nice." And then he repeated, softer still, "I'll be nice to you, Cordelia."
She looked at him, in a new moment for which they could take regard, and his softness, she believed it.
"OK."

At that, he let go of her and turned his palm over to her in offering. She glided her hand into his in return and the second they touched, he felt instant relief. His mind had become such a tumultuous place since the start of the night. These events, they tested him. But Cordelia was a sweet, calm.

If he focused less on everything around him, the ulterior motives that clouded the air in these circles, and just focused on her, he could get through this. He could trust her. And she was right. After everything he'd put her through, the least he could be was nice to her.
"Listen," He started.

"I was rough before. I didn't mean for it. I forget myself sometimes." He made a point to soften more. "I'm not angry with you. Not now or before or ever generally. I don't find it difficult to be kind to you. You can trust me, so in the next seconds we'll present ourselves to the ball as a unit."

"At these things they take all the couples in like some kind of silly spectacle. You can smile at them if you want or not, I don't plan to so if you don't as well, it's fine. When we're out there and the dance starts, you'll be fine. If you miss a step, I'll cover for you."

"You tend to overthink things in moments like this, but don't. You already know what to do, so trust yourself. You don't tend to get things wrong."
Cordie parted her lips to speak, then closed them wordless, a smile playing there instead. When she asked Matthew to be nice, she didn't expect this.

"You're…a good guy when you wanna be, Matthew Landgraab." Cordie said before nudging him to turn toward the crowd.
With his face exposed to everyone, he was quick to place back his non-descript mask. But on the inside, his heart was racing. He didn't expect her to say something like that to him.

Especially not tonight, when he least deserved it.
Applause rang through the ballroom for the final couple. The crowd only partially privy to the chaos of the wildcard choice.
As the applause began to peter out, Bella's voice boomed from the podium. "What brilliant ladies and gentlemen we have!"

"Before I take my leave to join the sidelines so the young ladies and gentlemen can take the center stage for their dance, I want to thank everyone for their enthusiasm and graciousness tonight. Please do continue to extend that to the dancers. No flash photography or filming please!"

"Now, without further ado, the ladies and gentlemen will be performing dance number 3 to Valse Romantique. Cassandra?"
Bella nodded in her daughter's direction to prepare to play as the children got into their starting positions for the waltz.

As the final couple introduced, Matthew and Cordelia took the center position in the formation. It meant that for them while everyone else was to perform dance 3, they were to perform dance 1. All eyes would be drawn to them as a result, a risky choice for the court member who skipped on practices.

But that was the point of the wildcard choice: to leave an impression. And let's say a certain Goth remained very intrigued by this new Landgraab, so why not see what kind of impression he might leave in the center role?
Matthew bowed low, his focus clear: it would remain on Cordelia and her alone.
