baekhyun likes to come here because the wifi is exceptionally fast, fiber connection with gigabit speed; he likes it too. likes the social interaction being outside of their shared home gives him, because unlike his roommate, he craved attention and dialogue because of the feeling it gives him. they call it naturalistic observation, he interrupts his own people watching by flirting and sharing not-so secret secrets. because everyone loved a good hero story. everything out of his mouth is counterfeit truths, but if he smiles enough and laughs just a little bit more loudly, he can believe it too. 'so, how did you get here, from north korea,' he likes to use his answer as a pickup line, with his awkward accent, 'we had nothing and we escaped,' it's a lie, he had everything he wanted back there in pyongyang.
but no one there was safe, even he realized that inbetween exploiting the world's vulnerabilities for riches. 'i'm good at computers, like really good', 'can you help me set up my email,' it's always like that. he's good-looking and the girls are easy, standing over one, maybe two, as he teaches them how to do basic things. maybe it's no different than social engineering and he treats his own life as if it's something to be broken into. his neighbor had came over a month ago, asking them to help her set up a new printer and 'yonggil' stepped foreward. he pushed him out the way and volunteered to assist, but the printer never got set up that night, they fucked on the living room couch. he promised to call her the next day, but didn't and she avoids his gaze in the elevator on the way up, he still smiles though.
he pulls away from the screen, glancing at his roommate and what he has 'found'. everyone likes that faux veil of anonymity, 'they' -- him and baekhyun, he prefers his birthname, do 'things', become vigilante hackers. destroying people who need to be destroyed. the contrast of then to now is staggering. he exhales, leaning away from the evidence displayed out in pink. they've seen this before, repeatedly. 100 terabytes of child pornography, 450, 025 users, 398, 001 are men, 52, 024 are women. he doesn't need to see anything vital to know, numbers scratch the insides of his brain bloody always. baekhyun is now in control of the exit nodes, baekhyun controls the traffic. "tip it, dude ," he's saying, sipping too sweet coffee, "and then we can invite the owner over for a chat,"

The last time he’s had a good night sleep was in ‘07. Auto-constitution of a higher self he has no means of maintaining. It’s a luxury, if anything, to feel the subjectivity of pain on the underside of his fingers. And maybe that too is somehow a sign, some kind of self-induced suffering / muzzle of a fever dream. He thinks, and the laptop shudders violently as he types, of the falling bodies. Except when they collide it sounds like fork against glass, instead of tiny broken veins and split ends and everything in between. It doesn’t mean anything. He’s tired.
A trivialized detail. The coffee tastes like shit. It’s funny. ROOT@ADM_SHODAN boots up in the back of his head and he shrugs. He’s not looking for anything in particular. It’s just him and Chanyeol and the consequence of paranoia. They like this coffee shop, he’d be sad if it’d get closed down. The plastic chair under him squeaks when he leans back.
Reminds him of THE CAPACITY OF AN IMMORTAL ORGANISM / MICRODOTS ENCODED IN LAYERS OF DATA / SELF-CANNIBALISM / RUNNING SYSTEM
The notion persists only at metaphoric crossroads. Takes him back a few years, as long as his registry stretches. He focuses on the 1872MB dedicated to his childhood as the fan hums under his hands. Pre-DIARY CATTLE, of farms down off-shore in Yuanyang County. And then nowhere when they’d lost it to the bank. At age nine he writes his father a long letter while crying, knees dotted with scabs and wet as his grandmother slept on the couch, in the tiny apartment his mother had rented in Haidan. The letter had explained, in detail how he ‘misses the boats along the dock; the smell of salt water; the fish and my friends’. He receives a reply almost a year later: on smudged and crumbled paper, in pale ink, stood “i’m sorry”.

The website loads in an obnoxious pink. ‘Welcome to DADDY’S LITTLE GIRL! Save http://nlmymchrmnlmbnii.onion/ in your wishlist to stay always updated.’ For a weekly fee, the webmaster offers his subscribers child pornography: sex videos, cam sessions, snuff movies and candid shots of school girls. ‘We are a community.’ “I found something,” he breathes before switching tabs. “You really can’t trust anyone in this economy.”

He dialed up a phone company, got transferred around, and reached the help desk. ‘Who’s the supervisor on duty tonight?’ ‘Oh, it’s Junghwa.’ ‘Let me talk to Junghwa.’ [He’s transferred.] ‘Hi Junghwa, having a bad day?’ ‘No, why…?’ ‘Your systems are down.’ She disagreed, ‘my systems aren’t down, we’re running fine.’ He countered, ‘you better sign off.’ She signed off. He said, ‘now sign on again.’ She signed on again. He continued, ‘we didn’t even show a blip, we show no change.’ He said, ‘sign off again.’ She did. ‘Junghwa, I’m going to have to sign on as you here to figure out what’s happening with your ID. Let me have your user ID and password.’ So this senior supervisor at the Help Desk tells him her user ID and password.

he hides by not hiding at all, possibly comes from his inability to remain perfectly incognito and a presence in the shadow: some permanent trace of who he is remains behind, a signature tucked away to be found after the fact, he's horribly assure of himself these days. but it's not at all undeserved cockiness, he has always been good at what he does and good at what he is. lies aren't really lies in this context, there's always a thread of truth. he doesn't like liars, doesn't consider himself to be one. he almost always gives out his real name, nothing flagging for there's other park chanyeols in this city ( 531 to be exact ) -- his face isn't remarkable, he tells them he's a defector; there's always pity, always something useful to latch onto as he shares woes he had never experienced. morally ambiguous intent tucked beneath an ear to ear grin.
it's only then, when familiarity allows for exploit, he attacks through security walls. if there's no glory, he has no interest, but pride had always been one of his unremetting sins. pride and vapid curiosity and some need he never had been able to identify has him here. with this boy, who has more to say on his painstakingly boring blog than he does in real life, taking and retaking pictures of his pet spiders. who spent two years talking to someone he shouldn't have, logs and logs of conversation he filtered too. "come on, let's take another one," he holds up his phone, shifting though instagram -- he glances at him, kyungsoo has long lashes, 164 individual hairs on his right eyelid, 167 on his left, "and try to smile this time, you look better when you smile,"

health/childhood/body hc
body
relatively lithe frame, can be described as lanky or wiry; although he has put on quite a few pounds since his height growth during his later teen years, legs and arms are defined which is why he likes to wear sleeveless shirts, decent calf muscles as well, nowhere near absurdly muscular – but appears to be healthy and in shape as he manages to run at least once a day, taller than most around him, standing a little around 188 cm, long legs. exceptionally long legs, his stride is lethargic, slow paced as if he has little care in the world, more so used to walking at slower speeds for shorter people to keep up. ‘piano hands’, long, slender fingers, wide palms.
health/childhood
growing up and throughout the majority of his childhood he was fairly overweight, affluent lifestyle and access to most of anything that he desired allowed him to be, lamb, seal, sea urchin roe, pollock eggs, easy access to an abundance of south korean snacks like choco pies, frequent visits to okryukwan for all the expensive noodles he wanted, were all evidence of his one percent background – contrasting the wide-spread poverty image often showcased in western media. unhealthy then, nowadays, he limits what he intakes. greed, excess, have always been his ‘achilles’ heel’, could be explained as one of the reasons he’s grown to want more and need more of anything and everything, he’s never been without – never been cutoff.

Let me tell you a story about love: She had a soft voice and strong hands. When she sang she would seem too large for the room and she would play guitar and sing, which would make his chest feel huge. Sometimes he would touch her knee and smile. Sometimes he would touch her face and close his eyes.

Why healthcare.gov doesn’t work. x
+++ Will the Website Work? Well, The 834 EDI won’t parse with the non-exchange Medicaid biz talk server because of a SOAP error in the WSDL trading partner. Thus the sustained class kicks a missing object error, especially because there’s two way late binding to the view model which is an opposite paradigm to the SOA approach we took when we hired Katie three months ago when we were promised the DAL wouldn’t have in-line SQL in it. OK. Good. Let’s roll this sucker out.

CYBERS MOST WANTED
Wire Fraud; Conspiracy to Commit Wire Fraud; Unauthorized Access to a Protected Computer; Conspiracy to Commit Computer Hacking; Computer Hacking; Conspiracy to Commit Securities Fraud; Securities Fraud; Identification Document Fraud Conspiracy; Aggravated Identity Theft; Money Laundering Conspiracy
REMARKS: RUMORED links to China, North Korea, Ukraine
ALIASES: HAPPYVIRUS, h4pp7v1ru3, novablaqk, Lee Kwanghee, Jon Park
Park Chanyeol is wanted for his alleged involvement in an international cybercrime scheme that took place from January of 2013 to August of 2013. The scheme utilized a computer virus that involved the online sale of fraudulent computer security programs that defrauded Internet users of more than $2 million.
It is alleged that in January of 2013, Park contacted an online newspaper claiming to work for an online advertising agency that represented a hotel chain that was seeking to place advertisements on the paper's website. Park utilized fraudulent references and bank accounts to deceive the newspaper into believing he represented a legitimate advertising agency.
Park provided electronic files containing the fictitious hotel advertisements to the newspaper, which began running the advertisements on its website. He then replaced the hotel advertisements with a file containing a malicious computer code, or malware, which infected the computers of people who visited the website and required them to purchase antivirus software for $49.95 to regain control of their computers. If the users did not purchase the software, their computers immediately became inundated with pop-ups containing fraudulent "security alerts," and all information, data and files stored on the computers became inaccessible. Park allegedly conducted the same fraudulent advertising and infection scheme against numerous online businesses.
