"A nin-nin-ja.From the Tokugawa clan" Nova replied way in over her head. Nova shook her head. "You have no idea how many times a day I get called Doogie Howser" Nova admitted with a pout.
Nova nodded in agreement. "Exactly I meant for this to happen." Nova said. "My noble sacrifice is worth it then." Nova said. There was pause. "You wouldn't be able to carry two people would you?" Nova aske in a voice only slightly louder than a whisper."
We? Caelius furrowed his brow immediately at the second and unexpected voice that answered in response from some branches that had been tucked behind some sprawling leaves from the canopy. "What the--- who are you?! You're not a stranded kid!" He remarked with a grumble and glanced down to the ground several feet below him now as he climbed a little higher into the treetop.
"Hey there," He turned to the young boy. "Your father sent me. We're going to get you down from here, alright? Just give us a second to find you a safe path..." He assured before looking back at the woman.

Nova gently walked forward, her bang obscuring one of her eyes. Nova gave a faint smile. "Do you have any milkshakes or anything extra sweet?" Nova asked. "A little pick me up after a long study session."
The day had been slower than usual. Cami was cleaning some dishes and clearing tables when she heard the door open. "Hey, welcome. I'll be with you in a minute." She called, not looking at who it was that came in. "Alright, what's your poison?" She asked, a smile appearing as she waited for their order.

"How does it work?" Nova asked sincerely. There was a light blush on her cheek. "I mean how do you do it- I usually don't see these things." Nova said hoping she didn't sound too naive. "Dad didn't even allowed playing cards until we were older." She joked.
❝ ⸻ tarot reading . ❞ Which wasn't a complete lie and it wasn't strange in new orleans to do . Although she made these tarot herself , they were infused with magic only she could access and use . After all , no one should ever use someone else's deck . Especially when it's made by the owner . each card drawn and painted .

Nova's eyes widened before she leaned against the tree. Nova groaned before she replied. "Nagisa." Nova said. Nova tried to stand up but was shaky, her breath laboured. She couldn't help but ask. "Did it work?" Nova croaked. It was clear she cared more about the spell then her health. She looked at Jackson as if she was a lost kitten.
"Shh, easy," Jackson murmured. "My name's Jackson. As for what happened, if that book's any indication then it looks like you tried to cast a spell and got a little overwhelmed. Just stay sittin' for a while, your head'll clear up. When you can stand, we'll get some water in you and make sure you're all right."

Night two of being in the club, Nova would rather be at home watching Kamen Rider. Instead her mother's attempted murder still haunted her. The nightmares with the blood, and the sinking feeling she might be next. What was the saying nip in the bud now. Nova heard the 'hey watch it' but didn't pay it too much mind. But she felt a prescence next to her. Nova gently tilted her head looking at the other "Are you okay?" Nova couldnt help but ask.

the heat from inside the club was as suffocating as it was encouraging, the same could be said for the thud of music that bounced off the walls and traveled the floors and straight into her veins. she had almost not come out tonight, and as she moved her way through the crowd, already a couple drinks in, she found herself questioning what had tipped the scale to this very moment. "hey, watch it." she bit as someone ran right into her, making no obvious attempt at avoiding her. all bark fell on deaf ears, the music was far too loud to them to have heard her anyway. the witch kept moving until she found sanctuary in the form of a open space at the bar, sliding in to order a cup of water, or maybe drink-- maybe, knowing her tolerance, one more drink could turn this whole night around.

Nova laughed equally harder, allowing herself to snort. "Careful you might have me sticking to you like glue." Nova joked feeling herself become less stiff.
"That sounds so awesome." Nova whispered, eyes widen in fascination. "Your mom sounds so cool." Nova said. "So you can feel it in the air."
"I see....."There was a solemn nod. "That sounds very interesting." Nova admitted. There was a sigh. "I guess the only way is practice." Nova had a small smile. She held the book in her hand. "Maybe one day I'll connect-" Nova paused. "I'm sounding too melancholic aren't i?" Nova joked. "Worst case scenerio I can go back to my normal life right?"
Arynn's laughter carried through the air around them at their playful exchange. "There's not anything like it." The witch mused at the thought, lost in his own mind and missing her lamentation about balancing science and magic.
"Growing up, my mom and dad would sometimes tell us about a time when my mother saved her entire city from being destroyed by channeling our entire family line." Arynn explained. "I've... never met any of my ancestors, but I can feel them sometimes when doing stronger spells."
He was quiet a moment. "I don't know if it is possible to awaken the magic of someone that never naturally awakened their gifts. I only know a few witches like that - like the grandkids of Damon Salvatore. They inherited the lineage of the Original Witch, but as far as I know none of them awakened the gift." He shrugged slightly. "I think there's hope, though, for anyone that's willing to put the time and effort into studying and practicing the craft though."

Nova shook her head. "If anything I think I am a bit clumsy." Nova relented. "Do you want to talk about it?" Nova asked for a moment sincerely. "A bit of both. I loved legos as long as I remember. But there was also a clearout so i took some for myself. I'm sure I can take some to the hospital too." Nova said with a cheery grin.
"Oh thank you, you're too kind." Nova said. "I'm Nova by the way."
Hannah shook her head, moving to catch one of the legos but missing a few others. "You're not a nuisance. Sorry, I've been in a bit of a mood today." Today, since she got back from the future, whatever, the point was the same. "Are you a collector, or just found a really good deal and couldn't help yourself?" She had no idea whether lego was a thing people collected or not, but they seemed to collect just about everything else.
"Sit, if you want. Take a load off."

Nova nodded. "I was in nursing school once upon a time." Nova said with a slight smile. "It's a very natural thing even but it really challanges you in a good way." Nova nodded. "Elena thats a cool name. You can just call me Nova." There was a nod. "What can I say I love being in school too much." She joked.
She nodded at the others question. "Yeah, it is. Have you taken it?" She asked, then began writing down the chapters she was mentioning. "Thanks for that. I'll keep that in mind for sure considering my brain feels like it's melting with all of this information." She chuckled. "I'm Elena. Are you still in school?"

Nova wasn't fully aware of what the blonde was doing. She briefly saw the spit on the ground, only narrowing avoiding it. She was carrying her recent order of legos from the carryout deal. She just laid the legos on the railing.
There was a polite bow. "I'm sorry I just wanted to rest my arms for a moment." She attempted to pick up the boxes again before the mini tower collapsed. Nova rubbed the back of her neck. "I promise you I'm not this much of a nuisance." She said as she picked up every individual lego from the mini kit.

"Yeah, smile on, you piece of trash," Hannah muttered, surveilling yet another of Triad's bootlickers through a powerful scope. As much as she might have wished she had a gun attached to it, she wasn't ready or willing to break the truce that existed between them and the supernatural community. Not yet, at least. "Drink your coffee, eat your bagel, pretend you're a functioning member of society." She spat on the ground at her feet. "Your time's coming."
Putting the scope back in her bag, she sat on a nearby bench and began writing her usual assortment of notes. Dark hair. Five five or so. Hits the coffee shop every morning between nine and ten. Switching to a darker red pen, she made a few extra notes. When the time comes, poisoned coffee probably the easiest way to go. Nearly as she wrote the last word, a shadow crossed the morning sun and she looked up.
"Help you?"

Nova was walking in that direction, but she felt like she shouldn't be. But it was the shortcut back to the hospital. Nova could only watch in horror. Was this a vampire? Like in the horror movies? Nova felt her heart race faster. She only thought they drank blood and couldn't enter buildings. Not....whatever this gentleman was doing.
Nova was about to back away when she dropped her take out. She let out a scared yelp before trying to hie behind a wall. She hoped that the man didn't hear her.
Not today. I'm too young to die.
"You're going to go back to your little playhouse and you're going to inform your superiors that you've spent the last several hours in an intimate tryst with a very handsy young vampire and you didn't feel like interrupting it by checking in." Klaus spoke coolly as he kept a firm grip on the young man's shoulder to force their gaze into his own.
"You're going to forget ever having spent a single moment here; every second I spent bleeding you dry of the vervain in your system and patched you back up right as rain; and when you're done and back on duty, you'll be reporting to me every time that arrogant leader of yours decides to give you an order." He finished and patted the male's shoulder. "Now, run along."

Nova was becoming desperate finding answers. She decided to go the club herself rather than ask her boyfriend to. So dress in one of her mother's older dresses she walked in. Giving a dazzling smile to all she met, her lips glistening against the light.
After a few moments of awakward conversations and being hit on, she headed to the bar. Craving something savory to get her through the night. That's when she saw a familiar face. Eyebrows raised as she slid near the chair next to him.
"I must have done a great job if you're well enough to come out here." She tried to joke, hiding her own suspicion in her voice.
How did anyone have fun in a place like this? More importantly, how had Dagger allowed himself to be convinced into even coming to this club and attempting to have some fun while he currently didn't have any immediate orders - instead of just seeking out his father or step-mother and asking for new directives.
The music was thundering in his skull and the lights were dizzying and headache-inducing. And he didn't want to get started on the kind of clothing everyone was wearing as he strolled through the establishment and glanced around.
Finally finding what he assumed qualified as the bartender there, he ordered himself a simple, fruity-sounding cocktail and turned back to the dancing and gyrating of the other patrons.
