Nova Mente students are respectful, grow a sense of humor, stand up for themselves and others, and begin to know themselves to increase their own awareness. 3. I instill discipline, strength, confidence, and respect in all my students. And I am damn proud of each and every one of them. Sometimes people may not agree with my methodologies and I am okay with that. I can be tough on the kids sometimes when it is needed. I have been sharing martial arts my entire adult life and I know when a child needs love, compassion, or to do pushups, or may need foot-sweep to remind them of what we both are committed to: being leaders and well-rounded human beings. Normally, I walk around at 195 pounds and on Sunday, that was my weight. I took this fight at 180 pounds to see how much I could push myself. I weighed in last night at 177.7 pounds. I dropped 18 pounds in 5 days. I have not been a slight since I was 21 years old. Last night was the completion of the Self-Expression and Leadership Program for Landmark Worldwide. These 5 people are my amazing participants who I had the profound honor of Coaching for the last four months! From creating a reoccurring family vacation, empowering society through contagious, positive communication, creating a life in a tropical island, changing the world of physical therapy, raising money for artificial kidneys research, to building their own business, these extraordinary human beings are making a huge ripple in the world.
