Snippet/SNAPE MEMORIES PART 1:

Old stone walls morphed into healthy vibrant tree trunks, the ground shifted into something softer, Hermione quickly glanced at the spongy earth beneath her feet. The chaos from the castle was gone and replaced by a foreboding silence. She looked beyond the brush and heavy branches where Snape’s black cloak moved through dense woods. The Forbidden Forest.

Darkness crept in and threatened to swallow them whole, the new moon sky meant they had to move quickly through the rough terrain in order to stay within the small bubble of illumination created by Snape’s wand. Snape’s determined steps never faltered, he confidently moved through the dense forest as if he could walk through it in his sleep and Hermione imagined he very well could.

Snape stopped suddenly reaching a small clearing where another hooded figure stood, one with an impressive height. The figure leaned against a tree, arms crossed in a bored demeanor, idly inspecting their nails for dirt that she was positive didn’t exist.

Draco.

Hermione would recognize that insolent stance anywhere, she gave a sideways glance to the blonde wizard at her side and received a wary smile in return.

“You’ve changed your mind.” Snape drawled, his tone was that of intrigue with a not so hidden layer of feigned indifference that Hermione was beginning to think was taught to Slytherins alone, perhaps in some secret elective the rest of the houses weren’t privy to.

“Possibly” Draco drawled, with a shrug of his shoulders, removing his hood.

This was much closer to the Draco she knew now, sharper features and broader built.

“We don’t have time for games, Draco. What do you want in exchange for the sword?” Snape asked sternly.

“The girl, is that still an option?” Draco asked, running his fingers through his hair not meeting Snape's curious stare.

"It can be arranged. I'll need to speak with her about you first, of course." Snape replied confidently.

writing fanfiction is just. i’m being so creative and original. i’m plagiarizing everyone by accident. i’m a genius. i’m cringe. i’m too angsty. i’m too cheesy. this is not in character. it doesn’t matter that it’s not in character because these are my characters now. i love my hobby. this is the worst possible use of my time. i’m seeking validation. i’m projecting my own personal problems onto this story and i’m barely hiding it. i know so many words and i’m using all of them wrong. im on tumblr posting about it instead of writing it.
