Watched Inside Out 2 today. My brother had already watched it before, he said it was ass. I thought it was nice, though. The kind of movie I really needed to watch. It helped improve my mood, too.

My weird girls under the cut <333

I once again rambled too much but!! I love them!!

The same oc that i ship with Dagur, Liv, comes to Mala's kingdom by accident in the time between the end of rob/dob and the start of rtte

Liv was captured as first, as gang in canon, and only proved her not belonging to the dragon hunters bc her wds weren't affected by that weird fruit.

and they did not like their weird aunt being in chains.

Then she just started visiting the only place she found(at that moment) that was friendly to dragons every time she felt lonely. Mala was at first concerned about the stranger's intentions and monitored her visits, and then it became just a good exuse to hang out with her new ally/friend <3

and then the realization came :3

Liv was very much caught off-guard, having already lost one love interest/friend and didn't want to mess this friendship up too. And, well, she just was bad with crushing on someone in general,,, unnecessary and uncomfortable feelings tm for her

Mala didn't even realize what that was at first and just thought that it was normal with friends (it's not like she has many of those. and her advisor gives her the same butterflies, so that must be friendship!)

and then she realizes that she wants to kiss both those friends and has a crisis 😔

with the position of queen she has to think of her kingdom first. and that means following the prophecy and all the annoying, weird rules her consul has.

her adviser was born on the island - so the prophecy rules him out. and her friend is a woman, so their marriage will bring no heirs. she can't act on either of her passions, no matter how badly she wants to.

so basically Liv to Mala is the most forbidden fruit <3

she never wanted anything that badly in her life. this girl just waltzes into her life and puts it upside down.

someone who respects dragons that much and yet she flies on them. who argues with her elders that if dragons wanted her off, they would have flung her off easily already.

someone who sees her. not only the queen or the girl she was once, like her advisor(and here i admit i forgot his name), but all of her - the good and the bad.

but Mala to Liv is a question of her morals and her desire for connection:

she still loves Dagur, even if, at that moment, she thinks it's impossible - even if she figured a way to get him out of prison, he and their tribe will never accept someone who flies with dragons.

she promised him she'll be there always and didn't keep that promise. still feels guilty about it and doesn't think she's worth anything as a partner. (aslo some internalized homobhobia)

but she still longs for this person, who knows all that she did and still likes her enough to keep a spare room for her at all times.
