Can explain this one: I bet a lot of Good Omens fans have also been fans of shows like Supernatural or Sherlock. Those shows systematically told viewers "your interpretations are wrong. This romantic subtext? It's not real. They said they love each other? If it's not a straight couple, it's only ever platonic. If you think they're anything other than the straightest of straight you are disgusting and personally offensive to me and we will laugh at you at conventions."
Good Omens is one of the good ones, but I'm sure many of us still have that gaslighting on loop.
Hello Neil!
I have seen Good Omens several times and I had a question about whether the girls from Edinburgh were a couple or not, since I saw them very close but it is not clear to me since according to me they do not say it at any time, thank you
It's astonishing how often couples don't look at the camera and say "for purposes of clarity we actually are a couple" in real life or in drama. Things like that are often left up to the viewer to figure out.

In principle, I can understand the appeal of depicting relationships between robots as a chaste thing that engages with romance in a purely intellectualised way without having to deal with any attendant biological untidiness.
In practice, if you鈥檙e going to show me robot romance, I want them to get weird about it.
