Alcohol Consumption vs Life Expectancy:
Data Management and Visualization Assignment Week-4:
In this week I have plotted the graphs to get the conclusion through visualization.
1) Uni variate histogram of quantitative chosen variables:
i)Alcohol Consumption:
code:
Result:
ii) Income per person:
code:
Result:
iii)Life Expectancy:
Code:
Result:
2) Data Description of the chosen variables:
i) Alcohol Consumption:
code:
Result:
ii) Income per person
code:
Result:
iii) Life Expectancy
Code:
3) Scatter plot has been created by using the available data
i) Income per person vs Alcohol Consumption:
Code:
Result:
ii) Alcohol Consumption Vs Life Expectancy:
Code:
Result:
Only by observing scatter plot felt it is not good to come to conclusion so added bi-variate bar graph from previous week’s assignment as below,
Conclusion:
Analyzing only the scatter graph seems there is no correlation between Alcohol consumption and life expectancy but considering the bi-variate bar chart we can say that moderate alcohol consumption can increase the life expectancy. This conclusion is just on basis of plots and graphs drawn for Gapmider data set.

Alcohol Consumption vs Life Expectancy:
Data Management and Visualization Assignment Week-3:
In this week, I find out the range of the values for variables by using the below code:
The result is as below:
Percentile split for the chosen variables has got by using the below code:
i) Income per person:
Result:
ii) Alcohol Consumption:
Result:
iii) Life Expectancy:
Result:
Now the new categorical data have been converted to category data type by using below code:
Analysis:
To get the relationship between the Income per person and alcohol consumption and alcohol consumption affect on life expectancy, drawn bar chart to analyse and come to proper conclusion.
Code:
Result:
Number of people are gradually decreasing while compared with the amount of alcohol consumed.
Code:
Result:
As the income of a person increases, his/her alcohol consumption rate aslo increases.
Code:
Result:
Data contains the more number of people are older in age 70-80 range.
Code:
Alcohol consumption is related to life expectancy but not affecting much on life span.
Conclusion:
By Observing the bar chats we can conclude that, the increase in income cause more alcohol consumption but the more alcohol consumption doesn't affect the life span considerably.

Alcohol Consumption vs Life Expectancy:
Data Management and Visualization Assignment Week-2:
In this assignment, the program must load the data set and calculate the frequency distributions for chosen variables.
Below is my code:
The output and explanation
As my variables do not represent categories, maybe the frequency distributions do not seem to make sense, anyhow they are covered in the code lines from 32 to 72.
Output Display for Count and Percentages for first 10 values:
Output display of frequency distribution for three variables I have chosen:
1) incomeperperson:
2)alcconsumption:
3)lifeexpectancy:
As there were missing data and is removed by code lines from 18 to 20. And new data set proves the presence of missing data as below,
number of rows lessened from 213 to 171.

Alcohol Consumption vs Life Expectancy
Data Management and Visualization Assignment 1:
1: Identify a specific topic of interest.
I want to choose the data set : “Gapminder”
The main reason to select this data set is because the data is health related.
2: Identify a specific topic of interest.
Most of my friends are addicted to alcohol so I thought to do some research on how alcohol consumption affects the human life span.
3: Prepare a code book of your own.
I took the below portion of code provided in Gapminder which I will use in this course as my code book.
4:Research Question:
Is there a direct relationship between the alcohol consumption and life expectancy?
5: Literature Review.
I did do my research in the Google Scholar with the string: “alcohol consumption life expectancy”. Bellow the image of this search is showed.
1) Drinking Pattern and Mortality:: The Italian Risk Factor and Life Expectancy Pooling Project
Link : https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S1047279700001836
Summary:
The purpose of this article is to analyze the relationship between a particular aspect of drink pattern and a risk of all-cause and specific-cause mortality. The results presented in this paper indicate that drinking patterns may have important health implications, impacting directly on the life expectancy.
2) Changes in life expectancy in Russia in the mid-1990s
Link : https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0140673600042124
Summary:
In this article, the authors state that the life expectancy in Russia has been changing due to the intricate pattern of trends in different causes of death, where some of which have their origins long in the past and others that results for contemporary circumstances. In the words of authors, the study provides further support for the view that alcohol has played an important part in the fluctuations int life expectancy in Russia in the 1990s.
Hypothesis:
The level of alcohol consumption of a country might be directly related to expectancy life.
