You know, I think it's fitting that in a prequel to a film where the entire main cast dies for the Rebellion, that so many of the characters get to live. There's no big Rebel deaths in the finale.
Yes. There is so, so much death in the show overall. So many little tragedies.
But Bix? Kleya? Wilmon? Vel?
They have a chance at glimpsing the sunrise Luthen knew he'd never see.
There's that glimmer of hope for all of them. The fact that they will live to see another day, even after Scarif, even after Cassian himself makes the ultimate sacrifice.

i know anakin and padme both having curly hair while luke & leia's is straight is more of an era/actors thing, but it's also really funny to imagine the twins having naturally curly hair and just doing this before every scene:
#yes this IS important battle preparation han. we DO need to spend 3 hours before every mission doing this#<<LOL#honestly as someone with curly hair I don’t blame them for straightening it or putting it away in buns#such a pain to deal with lol#Though personally I headcanon it as Anakin has the curly hair while Padme just curls hers#Those ringlets are too perfect and she wears wigs I can’t trust how her hair looks LOL#Also there’s a scene where she DRY BRUSHES HER HAIR WHICH IS SACRILEGE FOR CURLY HAIR#she can’t be naturally curly 😤 she’d know better
