Rei's birthday is coming coming up fast and to celebrate we have week of Rei themed prompts to get you going! Each day has two prompts to choose from. Make them as sweet or spicy as you would like. Our prompt graphic is below and the prompt breakdown and rules can be found below the cut!

The main focus of works should be centered around Rei from Nu: Carnival. These can be shippy or character-specific. SFW & NSFW are both allowed. For Science will be taking place during Rei's birthday week, though works do not have to be birthday related.

All original works accepted as long as they are tagged appropriately. No AI-generated or plagiarized works will be allowed.

That’s it! Any and all content is welcome and encouraged to be shared during the week of July 6th-12th.

Finch is offering fanart! They have Eiden, Rei, and Edmond listed as their preferred characters, but they're willing to branch out! They're also offering art for Mo Dao Zu Shi / The Untamed, The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System, Tian Guan Ci Fu / Heaven Official's Blessing, and Dragon Age.

My Dear Blade,

I fear I might make the other clan members and our young master jealous by wishing you such a sincere happy birthday today, but you have made it difficult not to be completely transparent since I have known you. It still confuses me why the others celebrate birthdays so, since you and I both do not age as traditionally as most of them do. I am glad age hasn’t affected my memory, so that I cannot forget you eagerly adding a ‘cute’ stuffed animal to my collection. A purple fox that reminded you of me. I thought it a foolish and unnecessary gift at the time, but it remains on my shelf, in clear view, even as I write this letter to you, sitting among the other gifts from you that have taken up space in my home.

Reuniting with you after our journeys alongside Huey, it didn’t upset me that you no longer remembered me. I admit that I can be cold. But you, very easily and quickly, warmed my heart. How could I not be charmed by your odd enthusiasm for the ordinary? Learning to knock on my front door, rather than invite yourself in, proved to be a significant challenge at the beginning of our time together, and so did confronting past memories of Huey, our old friend, ‘Master’ Rei, and the state of our lives at our first meeting.

I know in your excitement you might be tempted to share these sentimentalities with the young master, but I’d rather you not, so that I can test him even further for my enjoyment, only allowing him to see my soft heart occasionally. And you are one of the rare few that I can let see that side of me so easily.
