I’d kill to see more Creepypasta rewrites that really dig into character and theme, stories that mean something whether it be overtone or undertone, that treat the source material with depth instead of just the surface level appearance. There are much heavier concepts to be built off of the backs of the shit we hold nostalgia for.
I'd give an arm and a leg for a body horror take on Jeff that actually explores his decay, something grotesque and sad in equal measure without centering on the violence alone. Or a Midwestern retelling of Toby, where his inability to feel pain isn’t just a whacky quirk, but the emotional core of the story. He’s a teenager reckless, impulsive, terrifying because he doesn’t know how far is too far.
Give me a Clockwork where time is more than a 3 time referenced shallow metaphor, where her obsession with time feels earned, like it hurts. A version of Eyeless Jack that leans harder into the surgical horror of the original with organ theft, cold obsession, maybe with shades of The Collector, methodical/human.
What about a Jane the Killer who actually believes in what she’s doing, until the line between justice and brutality blurs too far to recognize? A vigilante narrative that doesn’t shy away from the guilt and hypocrisy underneath instead of "Oh yeah she wants them dead but works for them anyways" which serves no character or narrative purpose and sinks her further into flanderization [I think I'm spelling that right] instead of something with a little oomph.
God, I would commit atrocities to see someone tackle the Mansion like a proper serialized drama at this rate if nothing else. Something with the layered, character driven storytelling of Deep Space Nine where every character matters, every thread ties back in, and the horror lives in both the bizarreness of it all and the mundane. You can make a slice of life story and still have it be meaningful beyond basic interactions or shipping, there are a bazillion ways to do this and make it something impressive or interesting. You can write a slice of life and still keep the horror or the monstrosity of it all without shying away from who the characters are being my main point.
I know it’s a tall order, I'm mostly pining for the days in my youth where all I saw was gore and bloody illustrations that tied in with short stories and the like, I know these characters are the cringiest fucking things ever, I certainly wont deny that. But is wanting for something more all that bad?

i dont even KNOW how this would happen but ummm crack hc that since sotm takes place in 79, arnold, who works for fazbear was occasionally staffed around fredbears and ran into 9 year old michael from time to time and michael thought he was just the COOLEST because he was all tired and stuff but like also so chill with it and arnold is just so done. so so done. Like maybe even michael somehow gets some of his tired sarcasm from the guy. the guy whos just trying to make ends meet. Michael leave him alone
#ay michael grew up to be just like him#i mean… in the tired done with life & underpaid category#sotm

Rudy Conners
‼️Tw discussions of suicide, Invincible show/comic spoilers, character study thing
Original Rudy knew it wouldn’t be him getting a second chance at life when he cloned Rex’s DNA but imagine how jarring that probably was for Clone Rudy.

They were both ready to die, he was just the one that woke up in a new body. Do you think he struggled with some form of survivors guilt after original Rudy passed away?
It’s clear Rudy uses suicidal idolization as a way to cope with his loneliness and disabilities, I don’t think changing his appearance ‘fixed’ the problem, not completely, because a part of it is even outside the pod there is still a mental disconnect, a barrier he feels keeps people from understanding him.
Rudy built his identity around solving problems. He created his drones to escape the limitations that his body created and most likely why he became a hero in the first place. He found a purpose in fixing the broken and flawed, and we can see that with how he helps Amanda.
Unfortunately not every problem has simple solutions, especially when you’re dealing with the complexities of human experiences and emotions, something he’s still learning to navigate.
If he did continue to have suicidal thoughts it would probably frustrate him because it seems illogical. He’s terrified of his emotions because they’re out of his control, chaotic, dangerous. So he’d rather intellectualize everything to avoid feeling anything at all.

Michael Afton greatest fictional character ever. His actions are the catalyst for the entire story. He's riddled with guilt. He's a mirror image of his father who is also the villain that he spends his life hunting. He was manipulated into being an accomplice to said serial killer father. He is dead and rotting and still alive. He is empty inside both literally and figuratively. He's a pretty good artist. He has a dry sense of humor. He's plagued by nightmares. He's an arsonist. He likes soap operas. He spends his life trying to fix the pain his father caused and doesn't even get the satisfaction of being the one to finally end it.

how to NOT mischaracterize mimic
people of freddit especially miss the whole point of mimic's character, so i dove into the books (something they are deathly afraid of doing) and scoured up some fun fun facts about our admirable animatronic
closeups
