This has long been my all-time favourite image of Lorgar ever. It lives in my phone.
It's so elegant. It's so 𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭. Look at that disillusionment. Look at that despair. Look at that 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘬 (respectfully).
The artist is Damien V Grimm. & all her work is gorgeous. You should go check her out over at https://x.com/damien_v_grimm

Throws another Sanguinius WIP at you like some pearl necklaces during a Mardi Gras parade.
At least I am advancing... Even if it's one limb a month. Please, don't ask me how I did any of it. I just throw random brushes and colours on the digital canvas and hope that something sticks and looks okayish.
There is no technique or process behind, just some intense burst of inspiration and despair

"This one, this one I am proud of…"
From what seemed to be a metal box, kept well hidden inside her backpack, she took out what, to a simple eye, was merely a pictograph. What was on it made it quite the day for her.
"What is it?" Asked Sark, trying to get ahold of the rectangular piece, only to be swatted away by her.
"The only image I could take of Lady Lupercal since we embarked."
"You're joking; no one remembers getting a chance to meet her or even talk with her."
"But I did, and this one is my favorite."
Lady Lupercal, the lady of the white wolves, the mother of the wolves—so many titles for someone so small. Keeler thought, looking at the small image. A princess that had been wed to the Warmaster for a year, and even so there was so little to know about her. They say that she didn't like to be recorded or to have images taken of her, and, to add, it seemed that she was suffering some kind of illness nowadays. Someone blamed the stress of her position.
Keeler gently showed the image to the friend. Lady Lupercal wore simple robes, all white, the color of the legion. At her throat, binding like an omen, the eye that now decorated every part of the flagship, a collar in some way. She was talking with someone, a member of the mournival, and they seemed … closed.
The two were under the opening of a tunnel when she took the image. She remembered clearly that she did not have the permit to take it, but when she saw the small composition, she couldn't control herself. The two were entering the hangar; they stopped just at the entrance, and they looked at each other. Loken needed to take his vow, and that was one of the few times that the Legion Mother, as the Astartes liked to call her, was able to participate. Loken was facing her, his back on Keeler so she couldn't see his face, while the lady held an expression of pure apprehension. She feared for his sons, maybe, and she was begging him to protect them? The hands of the two were not visible, but Keeler suspected that they were holding hands.
"It is Loken, I'm sure; he's the only one, besides the Warmaster, close to the lady."
"Her expression is so...full of pain, spoke Sark, getting a better view. "It's so human. I wish I was the one there to take the shot."
"They look close…"
"I heard from a few Serfs that, without Loken, she would have died by her own hands. The pressure was killing her, but he's helping enough."
Keller loved that image; it shoved two sides of two important figures that no one wanted to know. And yet, for some reason, the image felt like it was holding more than he could bear. They…didn't look like the mother of a legion and her stepson to Keeler.
Well, that wasn't what she had been called for.
