In a bout of my brilliance I have only just now realised that not only is it February, but two Sundays have already passed. Oh well. Here's the piece I was supposed to make and post on the first (with comparison under the cut, of course). I was hoping to get the other one done today too, but it's almost 10 pm and I've got work at 7 am tomorrow (which means I gotta get up around 5) so hopefully it will get done tomorrow instead....

Going with the headcanon that CGI series was essentially live-action version of the series, all the movies obviously had red carpet premieres on Sodor, and Journey Beyond Sodor is no exception, even if most of the main cast had to be dragged out from the Mainland.

The big green engine glared back at his cab, upon which his driver and fireman were stretching a huge tarpaulin.

“What… are they doing?” Molly tried not to chuckle.

“They said it's to keep themselves dry. You know, because they definitely have something to complain about. We're the ones battling the elements face-first. They already have our cabs - that's the whole reason they're there!”

“Why, do you want a tarp across your front as well?”

Henry shuddered. “Absolutely not. No, the exact opposite - they already have our cabs, what more do they need?”

“What if the rain falls into your cab?”

“Well that sucks for them. We struggle through weather like this all the time, without a cab to keep us dry, and yet we're just fine.”

“Well, apparently their clothes absorb rainwater, much more so than our paintwork.”

“So they make a fuss about their uniforms, and no one bats an eye, but when I grow concerned about my freshly applied paint, suddenly it's an issue.” Henry muttered, darkly.
