Mirri takes a mix of analytical and comfort forms? The most natural forms that she reaches for the most are foxes, but specifically arctic fox in recent years. This was initially a comfort form, but it's almost like I've grown into it from the analytical perspective? It resonates more with me these days, as I've become a lot more confident and sure in myself. It's not ’perfect’ analytically, but it doesn't stop her from taking it 90% of the time!

We have a handful of other forms that she takes entirely for fun, to mix things up, that likely don't match all that well in any of the systems! We just like those animals, and she doesn't feel clunky in them. (Some animals that we like, just feel awkward to take as a form...)

With so many different form finding systems, it totally makes sense that some folks would have a different "settled" form in each type and that has me curious.

Personally I really only engage with analytic form finding and struggle with them. Although I do have a few forms I like that are somewhere in a personal comfort-symbolic nebulous area. (Some sort of coyote/wolfdog/coywolf vibe idk)

For those who feel like sharing, I'm interested in hearing about your multiple forms. Are they similar? Are they different? Do you have a preference to any specific system/type (Analytic, Symbolic, Pullman, Aspirational, Comfort, etc etc etc. )

it's kinda comforting to me when my friends are a little annoying or longwinded or abrasive or tired and inarticulate, or they don't do the exact politest thing in every interaction, and stuff, because I know I'm sometimes annoying, or take up a more than my share of conversational space, or forget to ask them questions, etc etc, and... like, I'm always working to be nice to my friends and to get better and better at friend-ing, but it just makes me feel more human about it :}

I feel like this is an unpopular opinion, but more people should read incomplete/unfinished/in-progress fanfics.

I've noticed this huge trend where creators on tiktok and tumblr who will be explaining how to use Archive Of Our Own to new users and they always say "and make sure to scroll down and click completed only" or how people will go out of their way to mention they only read completed fics 'because they were traumatized when they forgot to check the dates and didn't realize this fic hadn't been updated since 2012'.

The thing is - I think by not engaging with and/or actively avoiding writer's WIPs readers are potentially adding to the aggregate of abandoned works. Now this obviously isn't the case for all abandoned fics, anything from major life events, to loss of interest, to getting busy can be a reason for a fic getting abandoned - but at least on some level I just know that writers are quitting while they're ahead when they aren't garnering any response or feedback because reading WIPs has become unpopular. If you're worried about reading something that hasn't been updated since 2012 then you can use the date updated function to sort out old fics.

Anyways, support your favorite fanfic writers by engaging with their WIPs.

I felt like Son de Flor linen dresses are usually coordinated in more feminine vintage or cottagecore styles, so I went down another path this time.

When Son de Flor contacted me to gift me another one of their amazing linen pieces, I decided to choose something more simple and versatile, expressly to wear it in very different ways. I have already worn it several times after those pictures, in more casual outfits (you might have seen them in my Instagram Stories).

Sea glass from my overnight trip to Seaham!! I got some really cool pieces of pirate glass, but none of them top the red and white one!!

It's interesting to compare what I found this time, vs my previous trip there. I found a lot less wired glass this time, and less of the pastel opaque bits. BUT, I found a few more multis! Unshown, but I found a lot more fragments of shell, and nacre. Also just smaller pieces on average, but I spent more of my time on Red Acre beach instead of Glass beach (the tide was too high for most of my time there, and Glass beach becomes fully covered! Red Acre is a lot more rocky, and requires a keener eye and moving of patches of rocks)
