okay so guess who got really bored (me) and guess who stating thinking (still me)

So Jay seemed real sure Nya hated him at the start of season 6, like even before his proposals.

and Nya did seem pissed at him.

IM SENSING SOME BEHIND THE SCENCES???

i wrote a short bit (okay maybe not that short) about a night happening shortly before the start of season 6. Nya's super pissed about what the public's saying to her and she's super unsure about her new role as the water ninja. And everyone else is understandably worried about her. But skybound/possesion Nya doesn't like 'pity' or 'emotions'- she doesn't wanna be seen as weak.

idk if Nya drinking here and there is too non canon compliant or whatnot but this is what I came up with I was bores:

Kai was being weird again. Nya was used to him babying Lloyd, but that was only because Lloyd had been a kid when they met. But Kai and Nya, they had an understanding. One long established, way before the two of them had even met the other ninja. They looked out for each other. Took care of each other. They raised each other. They were equal. Or so she thought. 

“Do you need anything else?” Kai asked, his gentle tone hiding an exclamation of panic, but not very well, as he toured Nya’s room, eyes scanning everything except for hers, yet again. 

“Gee, I don’t know, would you tuck me in, mom?” Nya said sarcastically. She couldn’t help it. It seemed as though the world was intent on annoying her these days. Everything was going to shit. To any sane being, having water powers spontaneously show up with absolutely no advance warnings, at the discretion of someone else, not even her, would probably have sounded like the coolest thing in the world. But Nya had no such luck. 

Kai sighed at her door, holding it open now. “I know, I know. I’m just really worried about you, Nee. I know we’ve never been great about emotions and stuff, but some of the shit that’s spewing out of these TV channels and whatnot-” he sighed again and with an annoyed shake of his head, he met her eyes. “Just want you to know you can talk to me. And I know you don’t care or whatever. But still.” 

“You done?” Nya replied blankly. She was touched that her brother tried to reach out. She was. But the fuck happened to no babying? Ugh, Nya was pissed. A lot. She didn’t even know what in particular. But she was pissed. She needed a break. Desperately.  

Kai nodded once, stepping out, but looking back for a second. 

“Oh, one last thing,” he said before he let the door close. “Don’t be so harsh on the others. They don’t know you as well.” 

“Fuck is that supposed to mean?” 

Kai didn’t reply, only leaving the thud of the door of Nya to hear. 

Nya grunted. She meant what she said. What was Kai on about? Somehow her being pissed tied to whether someone knew her well or not. Fuck that.  

Nya’s head was pounding. Heart was thumping. She closed her eyes and muttered curses to herself because she couldn’t relax for a second. Not a goddamned second.  

She needed alcohol. 

Even at the age of four, Nya knew the big green bottles in Mom and Dad’s cabinet weren’t to be touched. But if thirteen-year-old Nya knew one thing, it was that mom and dad had left, and she could do whatever the fuck she wanted. 

She only had a sip. She wanted to know what it would taste like. The high-strung girls from her small school had all already had some. She didn’t want to be the last. It was easy to get away with anything in a small village. But again. Nya had morals, and she knew what she was doing was wrong. But she was upset. She was left out. She could do whatever the fuck she wanted. And still, she only had one sip. 

And another a few months later, when Kai barged into the house way later than he was supposed to, banging the door and yelling because of another failed carpentry maneuver. It wasn’t Nya’s fault. But Kai yelled at her all the same. So, another sip. 

It became a sort of tradition. Granted, it was much harder when she moved to the monastery, living with four and then five unruly teenage boys, and an old master. She had given it up for a while. And then she met Skylor. Sky was a city girl through and through, except for the short part of the year when her dad had her professionally trained. She was a year older than Nya, around Kai’s age, and they both were pretty stubborn. They became fast friends. Sky understood Nya’s interests- she introduced Nya to the best pubs to sneak into in Ninjago. Pubs with the best drinks, pubs with the best music, places where security was chill, that sort of thing. They even had a list of items you’d want in an ideal pub. 

They snuck out pretty regularly after the events of the tournament. At first, it was a way to vent, for Sky to get over her father's death and for Nya to get over Garmadon’s. They were each other’s (severely fucked up) comfort companions. And then it became fun. It wasn’t like the men could pry either, each time Nya had shot a girl's night out at them. Kai did try, but he shut up pretty quickly when Nya mentioned just how much Skylor was into him.  

It had been a while since they went last. After Morro, maybe once or twice. But Sky had texted Nya recently about some new pub which had opened not too far from the monastery. She said it actually checked all the items in their list, not to mention it apparently didn’t even ask for ID. 

Nya shuffled in her bed, groaning, and checked the time. Close to twelve. Everyone'd be alsleep. She texted Sky but no avail. She wasn’t in town for a bit. Nya groaned. She couldn’t be like this anymore. She was sneaking out today, for sure, but no fucking way she was sneaking out alone. 

She considered her options:  

Kai: Nope. Enough said. 

Lloyd: not by a long shot. Theres no way Nya would even consider putting the kid in that sort of place. Granted, he was physically only a year younger than herself, but Lloyd was and would forever be her little brother. So no, not an option. 

Zane: he would not even agree. He’d probably just ramble about morals or whatever when she brought it up. 

Cole: No, not really. Probably an option but not a good one. Plus, Nya was still kinda mad at him for the whole pretending to like her thing. Madder at herself. But still kinda mad. She thought she’d gotten over it, but with this stupid news resurfacing and basically becoming her entire fucking personality to all of the press in this stupid city.  

Jay: Jay. Hmm, Jay. He was kind, caring, would totally help, and not to mention he’s kinda cute. Okay, maybe really cute. And Nya definitely still didn’t like him. A lot. Nope. Not her. Not to mention the situation between them was still complicated at best. But everyone else were shit options. So, Nya didn’t really have a choice, did she? And it was totally not an excuse to spend more time with him. He’s just the better option, that’s all. And Nya really needed a fucking break. 

Jay. A night with Jay. Literal fucking Jay and me. Alone. For the entire night. 

She couldn’t tell if she was bursting with excitement or just nerves. 

OKAY THATS ALL. should i continue it? my whole idea is that Nya gets unreasonably pissed at Jay by the end of the night for some reason and that Jay fears he fucked up somehow and that's why he thinks Nya's mad at him.

Half dragon nya BUT it's more of a 'half of whatever the hell wojira is' and it starts after she unlocks her true potential. He only looks like a water dragon post seabound because wojira is no more , he now IS the water half of wojira . This also applies to morro btw they're the cool ass wind dragon ghost thing
