In 1 year or less I plan to save $3,000, leave everyone I know and move to the big city alone. Here will be a diary of my journey as I plan, save and remain quiet. I can't wait to leave this fucking place.

If you have the right mindset, you can move to NYC and make it no matter what your situation is. While it is true that having heaps of money, a fancy college degree or a high paying corporate job can all make establishing yourself in New York City much easier- it is not totally necessary to have any of these things. Every year there are thousands of young people that move to NYC with no money, no job, no apartment and few prospects – and guess what- many of them succeed in establishing themselves here. If you are willing to do whatever it takes for a few months while you get settled, you can make it here too.

My Steps to take to move to NYC |
Save $3000 or more for rent and 1st month expenses
Save enough for a UHAUL $600
Save enough for gas $400
Save for first months cab and subway fees- $200
Once all this is saved find a roommate with an apartment in the city online, one that accepts a large dog. (Have to bring my Bestfriend, duh.)
Plan out a date to pack, move and get up there with your roommate.
Have Husband LEAVE for the weekend.
Move to NYC.
Find a job, ASAP.
BOOM, if you follow these steps all should fall into place.
Of course I am going to continue my research on moving to NYC so I am sure a lot of my expenses are off. But I have a year, I write music and stay at home all day so I have plenty of time to do so. My plan is amazing and I can’t wait to put my middle finger up and this place and everyone here. (Minus my dog, that little badass is going with me)

Post 1 | Dig Greams.
What do you do when your 24, married, living in the same city you went to high school in, depressed because your husband has you trapped in a box and deserve so much more than this?
RUN AWAY AND MOVE TO NEW YORK CITY. [Secretly]
So I have officially decided to take the jump, alone and move to NYC. I have no job, $700 saved and I am married. No one knows I am doing this, not even my fucking husband who has me trapped in his fucking box bored out of my mind every day of my life. My depression is growing stronger and I am losing myself more and more each day. Something has to be done about this. Solution : Follow my dreams of being alone, write music, meet new people and live in a place I have only dreamed about since I was a little girl. Here will be a blog of my journey to reach this dream.
