Is Nash their codename or real name? Also if we didn't choose to reveal our real name to Rohan, will there be an option to reveal it in the future (& a list to choose from bc I'm bad at choosing names 😖)?
Nash is their codename! you'll get the option to reveal your real name, probably in chapter six, at least to some people (depending on how I choose to do it) but I can't promise I'll give you a preset list😔

A final signal. Gaza is completely cut off from the world—no internet, no connection—and Israel is blocking every attempt to reconnect, targeting anyone who tries. Now Iran is being bombed and the region stands on the brink of explosion while we remain trapped in deadly silence. If this message reaches you, it may be our last chance. Help us secure a safe home and education for our children❤️🩹 Don’t let Gaza disappear in silence.

Hello 🙋
My name is Maram, I am 25 years old from Gaza. I dreamed of a peaceful life, spending my life with my husband and my three children... but the war turned this dream into an impossible one 💔😭. We lived through this genocide with all its painful details and we are still suffering from it😭. We were so happy when the ceasefire was announced, and we returned to our homes in northern Gaza after being displaced for a year and a half in a tent in the south of the Gaza Strip. After repairing a small room in our destroyed house, we began to live there and start over. Unfortunately, the war came back, and it was even stronger than before 💔. Now, we have no shelter or source of income. We have used up all our savings during the war. I know I created my campaign very late, but that's because I have no other means to help my family 🙏. I am completely confident and hopeful that someone here will help us as much as they can and save my family in these tough circumstances 😔.

I know how painful and frustrating it is to start over from scratch, but I hope to get any amount for my family 🥺🙏.
So, please, donate to my campaign, even if it's a small amount—it will have a big impact on us 🥺. May God bless you, my friend 🥰❤️.

hm. so i may have written nearly 3000 words in one sitting for my headcanon operative backstory. reading project hadea is genuinely one of my favourite things to do these days, and it's ridiculously effective at curing my writer's block.
i vaguely recall you talking about the options for the operative's name, but i can't seem to find that post? was there a particular reason you chose the available names? also, on a somewhat unrelated note, have you written/imagined what nash's childhood was like?
apologies if these questions have been asked before. loved the new update and hope you're doing well!
here's the codenames post! as for nash's childhood, this snippet is the only place I've really discussed it :-)
thank you so much!! I'm so flattered it inspires you, that's such a lovely thing to hear🥰

I'm really curious if there are 'points of no return,' for the operative in this game. Like, specific points, where a specific character(s) will no longer believe they can/will stop hurting everyone around them. I know not backing off kissing Rohan in the space station breaks off any romance potential with Nash, but are there, or will there be, other moments like that, whether romantic or not?
there are...there's a lot of soft/reversible locks (including the one you mentioned with nash - that one will be reversible, just not Yet) but a few "hard" locks - taking imxa's deal will lock you out of rhaxa's route, killing rohan will lock you out of leanna's romance (and rohan's. for obvious reasons) and [redacted for spoilers]. outside of romance, things work a little differently - since you're all trapped together, there's no way for characters to just walk out of the story, but there are definitely certain choices that will permanently affect your relationships with them, regardless of your stats:)
#kind of a vague answer but ygm#there are things that will permanently alter your relationship. yay!#anon

nighthawk for nash please and thank you xoxo
nighthawk – n. a recurring thought that only seems to strike you late at night, that circles high overhead during the day, that pecks at the back of your mind while you try to sleep
(cw for brief wound/injury talk)
Nash isn’t a heavy sleeper. No-one in the Project is; perhaps no-one in the city is, the constant hum of the air conditioners a backdrop to the traffic, the noise echoing from the glass and the buildings in a near-constant crescendo. You learn to take naps where you get the time, and everyone pretends they don’t know about your nightmares. You pretend not to know about theirs, too, so it works out well. It should be part of the initiation process, they think in their more cynical moments.
Are you willing and able to take orders? Yes.
Are you ambitious, reckless, or saddled with enough of a martyr complex to risk your life for a cause you don’t care about? Yes.
Are you plagued by nightmares of everything you could have done differently? Yes.
Excellent. We’ll take you.
They roll over in bed, listen to the springs creak in the velvet dark. Across the room, curled in the other cot, the dark shape of their partner breathes slowly, softly. No-one in the Project is a heavy sleeper, but since the implantation, Nash hasn’t heard a sound from them. It’s the silence that bothers them on nights like this, the dark ringing in their ears as they stretch out until they feel the metal bars of the bedframe at their feet. It’s too quiet, too peaceful, a sharp contrast to the way it used to be; Nash shifts again, raises a hand to the semi-healed ridges on their shoulder, the scar tissue forming over thick scabs, the dull thrum of pain as they push down on the wound.
Their partner has matching scars, now, a neat line where Nash’s are jagged, just below the hairline instead of scattered across the shoulder, but there’s something satisfying in it, all the same, catching that gleam of pale skin just before it’s covered by a hood. The satisfaction is always chased by something bitter, a sharp aftertaste as they lie there in the dark, unable to sleep. No payment for their own scars, no AI to keep their dreams in check. Some days, they want to ask: was it worth it?
For a decent night’s sleep, maybe. Maybe that alone is enough.
They roll over again, turn their back to the body sleeping peacefully opposite them. Partners. It’s always felt like a loaded word to Nash. Every now and then, lying in the warm velvet dark, waiting for sleep to finally come, they turn the word over in their head, examine it from every angle. They pull back the hammer, check the chamber. Every time, they find the bullet in there, inert and gleaming. Every time, they put it back, safety off, barrel hot against their throat. Nash isn’t sure which of them holds the gun, but they know one of them will pull the trigger, eventually: one of them will have to.
Nash isn’t a heavy sleeper: on nights like this, humid and close, they lie awake in the indigo dark, and they wonder.

The air shimmers, heat-sick, sterile, red-red light from the sunset fading purple and filtered through the glass, and you're reminded of transfusion bags, of the urine-yellow quality of saline in plastic. You breathe out again. "Do you really think I wanted this?"
