I get a possessive vibe from him and I feel like he loves getting you flashy gifts he knows you’ll love, so that you feel provided for and know he cares, and other people know you’re taken 

The type to constantly have his arm around your shoulders and gives you kisses to your forehead or temple while you’re out together 

Hobi is another member that likes to make sure you’re taken care of 

Whatever goes wrong, he’s there to fix it

The kind of boyfriend who sends food to your work or your home if you mention having not had a chance to eat

Despite their busy schedule, he makes sure to visit you as often as possible 

Photos and videos and calls help lessen how hard the time apart is, but to Hobi, nothing will ever beat getting to see you and hold you in person

Huge advocate for self-care, always finding things to spruce up or improve your skincare routine, or finding haircare products you’d like 

Even encourages you to do stretches and exercise, as well as stay hydrated and having a proper diet

Might come across as nagging to others, but it’s just his way of making sure you’re as healthy as possible 

When he can, he joins you for stretches and exercises to give you some extra motivation (totally not so you can check each other out at the gym)

Loves dancing with you, especially teaching you BTS’s choreography

He can sometimes be a little overly critical and slips into idol-mode, but always apologizes if he upsets you and tries to be better about telling you how well you’re doing

Can sometimes seem bossy, but he’s always trying to look out for what’s best for you when he’s telling you what to do

Often thinks about you and what you’re doing, wondering if you ate, etc.

Having Hoseok around means sort of having a personal massage therapist and chiropractor, he always gives you massages and helps you pop your back if you’re in pain 

Always makes sure you don’t get sick, sharing his coat if you’re cold and getting you medicine anytime you’re not feeling well

I think Hobi enjoys being praised/appreciated 

He loves when you recognize his strengths and especially if you brag about him 

As much as he enjoys taking care of you and it makes his heart happy to provide for you, he’s easily moved by you returning the favor, mostly because he doesn’t expect it 

He puts on a confident façade most of the time, but becomes shy when receiving compliments 

He becomes gloomy and has no energy when he’s sick, so he appreciates it the most when you help him recover and get back to his usual sunshiny self

I think the most important thing for Hobi is that he feels supported

He doesn’t want o have to lean on you for support all the time, but it’s still important to him that you’re there when he needs you

Whether that be showing up to his shoots, sending him sweet messages letting him know you miss him when he’s gone, or even just making sure to check in on him when you can 

He needs to know that you care about what’s going on with him and will help out with whatever you can

No surprise to anyone, but Jin likes the occasional compliment

He can definitely get a little shy and will play it off as a fact rather than a compliment with his confident Worldwide Handsome persona, but he still blushes a little when you compliment him 

I don’t think Jin is the type to buy you gifts unless it’s something he knows will mean a lot to you, instead preferring to cook for you and spend time with you

Because of his role as the oldest member of bts, he’s gotten extremely in the habit of caring for others, especially you

This includes cooking for you, caring for you if you get hurt, etc.

He’s always there to pick you back up if you get hurt and swoops in with a silly face or a joke to keep you smiling until he can take care of the injury

I feel like he keeps around bandaids with a character or show on it that you loved as a kid (or even a kids show you still like)

Unsurprisingly, Jin’s main love language is food 

He loves good food, and he’s happiest when he knows the ones he loves are eating well

Because of this, he ends up cooking for you whenever he can

Like Yoongi, he also notices if you don’t eat much and makes sure to get you to eat 

Sometimes he’ll cook extra food on “accident” and ask you to help him finish it, or he’ll make snacks and desserts he knows you can’t resist

He knows you’re more likely to finish food with him if he keeps you distracted with fun conversation or if he makes it seem like a favor to him

Jin has said himself that he enjoys goofing off and that making other people happy is his way of making himself happy

I think this translates into your relationship as him being the first to make a silly joke when you’re upset, trying to make you laugh

He loves making others happy, true, but your laugh is special to him and he feels proud whenever he sees you happy because of him 

Even when he’s enlisted, he makes sure to have filmed a bunch of his meals in a sort of personalized Eat Jin just for you, that way you can watch them while he’s gone 

Especially if you’re a serious or anxious person, Jin tries to show you the importance of living happily rather than prioritizing work

Jin understands that you can’t be happy all the time and does his best to support you when you’re having a hard time, it just makes him sad when you’re upset and he can’t help but worry

Will happily sing to you to cheer you up if you ask him to, especially his solo songs like Epiphany, The Astronaut, or Moon

He likes teaching you the dances too, and it makes him feel proud that you went to him to learn the dances instead of another member even though he’s not on the dance line

 Jin likes just being near you, even if you’re not directly touching 

Although he loves hugs and even has fun giving you piggy-back-rides, he doesn’t kiss you in front of other people often because he gets shy

Being the madnae of the group has definitely rubbed off on him in the ways he shows his love, and makes him a perfect partner for anyone who enjoys being taken care of 

I think the ways Jin accepts love the best is just time together and emotional intimacy

He loves knowing you trust him and that you can rely on him, and that he can trust and rely on you in return 

Although he does like to care for you, he definitely needs that same support at times 

He’s the main one who cooks but he’d be extremely touched if you took time to make something he specifically likes, especially a dessert 

Loves just spending time together with you, whether it’s reading together in bed, going fishing, or having a picnic by the river

Even if you’re just playing different video games in the same room, he likes knowing that you’re nearby

If he does notice you getting frustrated or upset by anything, he’ll make you take a short break so he can get you to smile

Namjoon is not the most affectionate person, often preferring to just exist in each other’s company

That being said, he does like it when you cling to him; you bring out his soft side

If you’re shorter than him, he’ll rest his chin on the top of your head

Although he’s not very into PDA, he does like to be able to either see you or touch you, happy to even just observe you while you do something 

The way he shows his love for you most often is by making time for you and showing you that you’re a priority to him 

Spare time is very rare and precious, so he makes sure to make time for you, even if it’s not easy

He enjoys taking care of you and feeling like you can depend on him to provide, but it also warms his heart when you do anything to provide for him as well (cooking for him, buying him gifts, etc.)

When he’s working, he tends to fixate on what he’s doing and forget to eat; when you bring him food or water or send him reminders to take care of himself, he feels grateful to have you in his life

He’s not afraid to admit his flaws, but it does bring him a special kind of peace when the two of you just lay in bed and talk about your own flaws with each other; to know he can be imperfect and still be loved is a healing thing to know 

Likes having intellectual discussions with you about philosophy, cosmology, and just anything that lets him see more into the inner workings of your mind 

He loves when you match his energy, whether he’s being goofy and dancing around like a maniac, or if he’s in a more spiritual and thoughtful mood; it makes him feel like you understand him in a way few others do

Likes coming up with places to go with you and events/activities you can experience together

Prefers shared experiences to buying you physical gifts

Has a hard time being very cutesy, he almost always gets shy and covers his face, especially if he does aegyo 

Despite his shyness, he enjoys it when you compliment him; especially if you call him handsome and/or smart

He used to be insecure about his nose, so he still gets a little shy if you kiss him on the nose

Has a tendency to wrap himself around you when you’re sleeping together 

Can’t and won’t stop taking pictures of you

Even though he can’t post them, his gallery on his phone is mostly photos of you, whether you’re at a museum, in nature somewhere, or just looking cute while asleep

He loves doing little photoshoots of you and showing you off to the people that know about you

Since he takes so many photos of you, it makes him happy when you take nice pictures of him too

It makes him happy knowing that you feel the same urge to show him off, that he feels about you

It’s pretty common for you to either be on an adventure together or just staying inside with good books

He leaves you little notations in the books he’s already read because you once said it makes you feel like he’s reading it with you

Takes pictures of the scenery around him whenever you’re apart; plants, pretty rocks, crab, you name it, he’s sent you a picture of it 

“I didn’t want to bother the bugs under this rock but look how pretty it is!”

If he ever has to travel without you, he sends you the prettiest postcards he can find with the cheesiest messages on them 

“It’s raining here today; even the sky is sad you’re not with me”

Draws little Koyas on his letters and postcards to you

If he knows he’ll be gone from you for a long time, he’ll leave letters for you to read when you miss him 

Writes short poems for you when he’s feeling sentimental and will leave them on sticky notes and index cards for you to find

Writes snippets of songs about different mythos of soulmates when he thinks about you 

Tells you about the myth of humans being created; how we were all made with four arms, four legs, and two heads, then cursed to spend our lives wandering in search of our other half

In general, I think Yoongi is not a very public person when it comes to affection. Not because he’s embarrassed of you or anything, but just because he can be a pretty private person

The most common way for him to show his affection for you around others is holding your hand. Yoongi loves holding hands with the people he’s close to, including his group-members and he loves the way your hand fits against his

He’ll occasionally sneak a kiss to your hand when no-one is looking, but not very often unless the two of you are alone

The most common dates you guys have are nap dates

We know Yoongi loves to sleep, and he feels much more rested after sleeping beside you

It’s fairly common for him to call you over to the studio and the two of you end up napping together, even if that wasn’t why you were originally there

And if he’s working too hard, sometimes you’ll go over there just to talk him into getting some rest (which is never very difficult) 

That being said, anyone who knows him can see his love for you very clearly 

He shows it in more silent ways and most people might not notice it, but it’s there nonetheless

Yoongi is the type of partner to make you food when he knows you haven’t eaten that much today, even if you insist you don’t need anything. Having been a part of the industry he’s in, he knows how easy it can be to convince yourself you don’t need food and refuses to let you slip into the same habits he’s seen fellow idols slip into

He also loves making you little handmade gifts

We’ve seen him make gifts for ARMY by hand, and I feel like that bleeds through into your relationship with him as well

Anything he sees a tutorial for that he thinks you’d like, he’ll make for you. He always finds a way to make it unique because he wants his gifts for you to be one of a kind. Sometimes he’ll make a collection of them for when he has to travel and can’t take you with him, hoping to alleviate some of the loneliness that he knows comes when he leaves 

He also likes getting you small gifts that remind him of you. It’s not always something expensive, though he definitely enjoys being able to dress you in nice clothes and jewelry. Oftentimes he’ll get you little charms or sometimes books that you’d like. If there’s anything you collect, he keeps an eye out for them when he travels; he doesn’t buy souvenirs for you unless you get to go with him, but he always finds something that will make you smile 

I think, though most people would miss it, the easiest way to see how much Yoongi cares about you is just in the way he looks at you whenever you’re around

You’re the first person he looks to when someone (usually Jin) tells a silly joke, and the first person (outside of the other six) he goes to for opinions on his songs once he feels like they might be how he wants it 

Other than that, he just loves seeing you. With his busy schedule and tours taking him away for a long time, then his military enlistment, he tries to engrave your face into his memory for when you’re apart . You tease him for it a bit when you catch him just smiling slightly at you, and he just smiles his gummy smile at you. “Why wouldn’t I stare? I love you”

Yoongi loves handholding in public, but he loves your kisses in private too

A leftover habit of yours that still means a lot to him is when you started kissing his shoulder before he’d had surgery on it 

You were one of the first people that knew what had happened to his shoulder and how often it hurt badly enough to limit his movement. You always helped him manage the pain, kissing it “better”. It didn't fix his shoulder, but it did make him feel better to know that despite everything he’d been through, you loved him all the same

OR Cursed Creatures: a series in which each member has a different curse. (fantasy au)
