throughout the movie, how can you tell metal beak was lying to allomere and planning it all along?

Well, Allomere isn't a Tyto, he's a Strix. So why would Metal beak hand him the Tree of Ga'hoole and the western territories if they won since he ain't a Pure Blood?

do you think it would have been better if nyra from legend of the guardians: the owls of ga'hoole was the final boss since she had a lot of screentime while metal beak did not have much?

I don't think so. Lots of screen time doesn't me she have to be the ultimate boss. She was his general, so it's normal that we see her more than him as villains don't prance around, showing their face to their lower ranks. Also, during the final fight, wasn't she occupied fighting the guardians outside while Soren and Ezekiel were fighting Metal beak?

what do you think of kludd from legend of the guardians: the owls of ga'hoole joining the pure ones all because he wasn’t appreciated at home and hating soren because he's good at branching?

I'll be honest, Kludd (from what I remember) is a proud owl, always wanting to be the best to feel good. So when, with the Pure Bloods that were congrating him for his great skills, it rubbed well on his ego, causing him to stay with them.

what do you think of metal beak from legend of the guardians: the owls of ga'hoole not doing anything until the climax?

(I'll answer from the movie since it's been I while I've read the books)

I think his character was well written/shown in the movie ; he wasn't over villainous that it became boring like in some movies.

As for the guardians, I can understand why they didn't act right away ; they lacked intel from the inside and how to act. While also one of their council member (the traitor, I forgot his name, haha) was opting not to act. But what I seem to remember from the movie, they still did try to save owlets .
