It makes me so sad how misinterpreted punk is these days. People asking me if theyâre punk but want to be a cop (no), people saying that itâs punk to not vote (no), people saying that being exclusionist and gender-critical is punk (no) all because those people listen to heavy metal and wear studs. Thatâs not how it works. Iâve said it before and Iâll say it again: that girl ordering Starbucks in her designer clothes whose voted for Democrats and doesnât care what you identify as because sheâs your friend and supports you no matter what even if sheâs cishet and doesnât âgetâ mogai genders is more punk that you will ever be.

@squareallworthy:
If âdoes God existâ is not the same sort of question as âdoes bigfoot exist,â then itâs not a very interesting question.
 - the real bigfoot exists in our hearts
 - hell is a state of separation from bigfoot
 - since I can postulate an entity hairier than any other, that entity is bigfoot
 - every culture has their own cryptids, there are many roads to bigfoot
 - we cannot prove that bigfoot does not exist
 - if believing bigfoot exists makes you a better person, then bigfoot exists

This should be reblogged by everyone. Even if youâre straight, you should be a supporter.

Please, reblog! IItâs called self defense. Apart from having here, in the US, one of the highest cases of homicide and rape in the world and high rate of GBV, think about how this could help your mother or sister

Dominoes
It was a year or two ago, I was road tripping with my aunt & uncle. You know those long boring 7-8 hours journey? Yeah, those. I do but remember a car who was also on the same path as us. There was a boy who was about my age. He was with two other grown men. Probably his father & uncle or that sort. We ate in the same restaurant. I kept glancing at him because I felt him glancing my way at times. It was as if we found comfort in each other in the unknown. Maybe it was because he was the same age group as me or maybe because we were sort of together in this unknown road with no other human settlement found nearby. I remember the car he was in and the car I was in and the way we kept overtaking each otherâs. I felt like Iâve seen him somewhere... somewhere in social media platforms, perhaps? But I could not be quite sure. All in all, I felt comfort while looking at him :) Now, the reason for the title, I fastforward to the present day... I was scrolling through my Instagram feed and I came across a familiar face. I felt as if Iâd seen that face somewhere but couldnât quite put my finger in it. After checking out that profile, I was almost quite certain that that face belonged to the guy I saw years back during the road trip. Though I can never be certain that it was him because I hadnât even spoken a word with him, I felt strongly that it mightâve been him. From his profile, I found out that he is one of my friendâs cousinâs friend. Well, isnât that a domino sequence now?! One thing leading to another...

This makes me so happy đ„ș
So I just had a thought
What if supernatural creatures donât exist anymore? What if they did once, but through the years, they slowly mixed in with humans?
You can see the blood of fairies in the way a ballet dancer hovers in mid air before he or she hits the ground. You can see it in the way that middle school girl never forgets when someone makes her a promise. You can see it in how that one little boy in the kindergarten class seems more comfortable in the forest on that field trip than the others.
You can see the blood of dryads in hikers who never trip over roots. You can see it in that suburban grandmother never lets any of her garden die. You can see it in that one kid who climbs a tree faster than his friends, barely looking at the branches as he goes.
You can see the blood of naiads in the way a professional swimmer seems to command the water to help them. You can see it in how a cross country runner needs a water break more often than his teammates. You can see it in the way that one girl in your class always has a water bottle on her desk.
You can see the blood of mermaids in a surfer who can be tossed around underwater for a long time without drowning. You can see it in a teenage boy who doesnât have to pretend to be unbothered by the pressure when he races his friends to the bottom of a swimming pool. You can see it in the little girl who wades into every stream she sees on a hike without quite knowing why.
You can see the blood of sirens in people who never have a problem with getting people to date them. You can see it in that soprano who can hit notes most of her fellows can only dream of. You can see it in the camp counselor who all the straight girls have a crush on, who can play guitar and sing better than any of the others.
You can see the blood of shapeshifters in the way an actor adjusts their personality to become their character with scary accuracy. You can see it in the subconscious, barely noticeable changes a tween girlâs eyes make to match her outfit better. You can see it in the way you always lose that one friend in a crowd if youâre not careful, because heâs just too good at blending in.
People who carry the blood of werewolves donât change with the full moon anymore, but you can still see it in the way your best friend always knows something is wrong, though even they donât know theyâre smelling the changes in your body chemistry. You can see it in the way that one guy always seems to eat more than the reasonable amount of red meat at an all-you-can-eat buffet. You can see it in the way that one werido never has a problem when the teacher turns off the lights before a PowerPoint presentation because her eyes adjust quicker and better than yours.
The blood of supernatural creatures may have mostly faded away. But if you look closely, you can still see it.

We all have fragments of the old godsâš
The Old Gods
You can see Hestia in the owner of a diner that makes the best homemade soup in town. You can see her in an older sister who is always there for you. You can see her in the Girl Scout who lights the fire for the sâmores.
You can see Demeter in the old lady who sells fresh vegetables from a stand on the side of the road. You can see her in a single mom who works two jobs to support her kids. You can see her in the young woman who buys only organic produce.
You can see Hera in a strict mom who is the glue holding her family together. You can see her in a new bride who wants everything out of her marriage. You can see her in a young scientist watching a mother bird and her chicks.
You can see Hades in an old man who doesnât fear death. You can see him in a lonely, misunderstood teenage boy, crushing on the most popular girl in the school. You can see him in a little kid who doesnât know why his friends are scared of the dark.
You can see Poseidon in an old fisher who lives on a houseboat and has lived out hurricanes on it. You can see him in a teenager who can calm and ride even the most wild of horses. You can see him in a little boy who talks to his fish tank.
You can see Zeus in the weatherman who never turns down a story, always running straight towards even the most dangerous storms. You can see him in a young man who flirts with everyone. You can see him in a boy who stares out the window at lightning storms when the power is out.
You can see Aphrodite in a woman wearing stilettos and razor sharp eyeliner holding her head high and ignoring haters and cat-callers. You can see her in a teenager smelling a flower from her first love. You can see her in a little girl who believes in true love and wants to be a Disney princess.
You can see Ares in an old war veteran with a million proud stories of battlefields. You can see him in a teenager joining ROTC, eager to join the real military. You can see him in the one boy always too eager to start a fight.
You can see Artemis in a small woman able to take down people five times her size. You can see her in huntresses who never pay attention when people say they canât hunt as well as men. You can see her in a teenage girl who doesnât understand why people get crushes when they can just have friends.
You can see Apollo in a famous singer who writes his songs so that they actually mean something. You can see him in young men who drive convertibles under the summer sun. You can see him in an archer who never misses his target.
You can see Athena in a feminist writing poems about the struggles of her fellow women. You can see her in a math teacher who patiently explains the problems to her students. You can see her in a girl who never loses a game of Battleships.
You can see Hephaestus in a man who could make a toy sword or a table from the same piece of wood. You can see him in a guy with a disability who can absolutely kick your butt, anyway. You can see him in a little boy who can build anything with legos.
You can see Hermes in a mailman who will drive through storms to get people their stuff as soon as possible. You can see him in the track runner whoâs feet move faster than his team mates. You can see him in the boy with eyes a little too mischievous who always seems to get into trouble.
You can see Dionysus in the DJ of a club who knows each song to the right party playlist. You can see him in a man who owns a vineyard and walks through his grapes every morning. You can see him in a boy playing a female lead in the school play.
The old gods might not answer prayers anymore, but little bits of their influence can still be seen in people.
