Sign a petition: Civil rights group Color of Change launched a petition asking that all the officers involved in Floyd’s death are brought to justice. Find it here.

Or another petition: The “Justice for George Floyd” petition on Change.org already has 8.5 million supporters. That sends a big message. Find it here.

Also, Happy Pride Month! To All of my LGBTQIA+ friends and followers, I hope you have a wonderful month. I know things are difficult right now but I have faith that things will get better. Specifically to my black queer followers please know that you are loved and appreciated.

Dear President Trump,

        Congratulations on your recent inauguration into the most powerful office in the nation. I hope you had a smooth transition from New York City to the White House. I'm writing to you as a citizen of this great nation; I have some thoughts I would like to share about my concerns and hopes for our collective future.  

        I am a 16 year old African-American, White and, Hispanic American bisexual citizen who just so happens to be a female as well. I am deeply concerned about my safety. Being a woman in America is scary. Being apart of the LGBT+ community in America is terrifying. Being a minority in America is even more scary; but being the biggest minority (Black) in America is a nightmare that I can't wake up from. You will never know the fear that is chained at the roots of my body. Am I a walking target for trigger-happy cops? Will I be ridiculed because of my gender? Will I be able to succeed in life or will I only be able to achieve a failed destiny that was pre-written for me? Imagine being told no all your life because of what and who you are. Imagine your rights being denied, delayed and, rigged. You don't EVER have to worry about that. You're not living paycheck to paycheck. No, you have it good and you're about to make it worse for us "bottom feeders". I like the part when you said that America will always be first. Well, since we're first why are you taking away Obamacare? Correct me if I'm wrong but, that's actually helping some people and so is Welfare and food stamps. Not everyone is rich like you Donnie; not everyone has the time to work or is actually physically/mentally able to work. Some people have real life problems. Some people worry about where their next meal is coming from, or if they can keep a roof over their heads. It's bad enough that people have to struggle, don't make it worse. It will be the worst domino effect known to mankind.  

        I hope that you have a change of heart one day. I hope that you can stop seeing Mexicans and Muslims as bad people. You can't say "All Mexicans this" or "All Muslims that" when not all Mexicans and Muslims are bad. You can't go based of off one person or a group of people's actions and assume that that's how they all think and behave. We didn't blame all Christians for the KKK did we? We didn't blame all Cubans for Fidel Castro did we? We didn't blame all Germans for Hitler did we? I know for a fact that I didn't. #NotAllPeople. I hope that you can see that the reason that "All of the Mexicans are taking our jobs" is because NO ONE IS DOING THEM. No one wants to do them because they're a) too dangerous and, b) doesn't pay well AT ALL. So of course you give those jobs to the "lesser" because "they don't know any better". Donald, you sly dog. I hope that you can see all of the damage that you've caused and all the racist outbreaks you've caused. There's too much hate spewing in America at this moment, it is really disgusting. If America is really first, clean up the mess you've made. Un-divide us by our gender, religion, and ethnicity. Do you want people to hate you? If you don't I suggest you actually take bits and piece of what Bernie was going to do and of what Hillary was going to do and follow through with it. If you truly want to put America first. If you really want to be deemed as a great President. Don't preach hate anymore, don't let your followers preach hate anymore. Hope is too much of an understatement but, I hope that you don't get rid of Planned Parenthood or make abortions illegal. Every female that gets pregnant, there's always a back story of why. It isn't always because "she couldn't keep her legs closed" or "she doesn't know what a pill is" or "she was stupid enough to not use a condom". What if she was raped? Do you know how traumatizing it can be to bear a child that was conceived in a terrifying way? Or what if the condom broke or the pill didn't work and he and/or she doesn't have to the money or the time to raise a child. You must really want the orphan rate to go up. As my hopes continue on, I really hope that you leave Public School alone. Once again, not everyone is as rich as you Donnie. With public school, teachers actually have more qualifications (higher degrees), us students have our focus on core subjects – the things we will actually need in order to survive in college and America – there's more activities for us like different clubs and sports and electives, we're WAY more diverse and, with public schools we actually help people with disabilities. We make sure that their physical and behavioral needs are met. With Private School, it won't help anyone. It won't make them smarter than the next person.  

        I wish you and the First Family well for the next years to come. I wish for a smile to never leave your faces. Thank your for taking the time out of your busy schedule to read my letter. I hope the country as a whole continues to move towards the more unified nation our forefathers envisioned so many years ago.
