We know from Catch-22 that MC’s blood holds a certain *sway* over Praedators. Rafayel always believed himself above such influences—disciplined, unshakable. But when her blood ends up on his clothes during a mission, the scent overwhelms him in ways he never anticipated… and what he thought was immunity begins to feel dangerously close to surrender
