Fully intended to be here today but instead I spent more of the day in bed feeling rough 😅 If I feel better tomorrow I'll be here!! If not then it'll be Monday or Wednesday.

Instead I've spent most the day consuming Star Wars. Finally finished the Revenge of the Sith film and started (almost finished) A New Hope! (Finished the book the other day) So I'm slowly making my way through the franchise.

Did some things but my mood has low key gone down the drain so imma head off. I've had a cull of people I follow so if we're still moots then hey, I wanna write with you!

There's an impish smile on the young girl's features as her mother reaches her, one that changes to sheepishness at her mother's words but azure hues still dance with delight, allowing the woman to help her to her feet. She brushes the dirt from her dress and straightens the fabric, smoothing it over until it looks as close to perfect as it possibly can be as her mother attempts to fix her hair. " It wasn't my fault! " she insists, scowling in the direction of her brothers. " They said I couldn't beat them! " the girl pouts at her mother, giving her best 'puppy eyes'. She knows it's not her place to wield weapons and fight like her brothers, but much like Arya, Bryn has always enjoyed being rough and tumble with her siblings, though she's always known her place when it mattered, being impeccably behaved whenever they had guests.

"Bronwyn!" Catelyn called across the yard as she approached the tumbling girl. Just like Arya, she though almost fondly but with a hint of annoyance. This was not the way of a Lady. "How many times need I tell you not to play in the dirt like a stable boy?" She reached her daughter in time to reach for her arm and help her up to her feet once more. Her boys, of course, were around as well, though it seemed that had opted to hiding from their mother. She ran a hand through the girl's hair in an attempt to fix it just enough to be presentable but to no avail. / @oblitum

There's something about Freya's tone that puts her on edge immediately, weariness seeping through in her body language, stiff but still curious as to where this is going. She's silent for a long moment, head tilting as she studies her sister, remaining silent for a long moment after she speaks, allowing a small smile to curl at the edges of her lips. " You don't need to say it at all. " she tells her simply. " You've fought for this family from day one, do you not think we all know we can rely on you? " a brow raises before her expression pinches in exasperation. " What is this really about, Freya? " because she knows there's some kind of ulterior motive, she just doesn't understand what.

⸻⸻ "you've accepted me as your sister since the day i've arrived" Freya started, she'd worried about Bryn lately and needed a way to reach out to her, to see if her sister was doing okay. "I don't say it as much as I should, but I'm here for you, like you were for me, okay?"

He doesn't get it. She's not sure he ever will, but that's okay. She appreciates he's trying. Bryn tenses as he reaches out, hand squeezing her knee gently, expecting some kind of comment but she relaxes slightly when he lets it pass without acknowledging it further, forcing a small smile of appreciation onto her lips. She disagrees. Frankly, her safety is the last thing on her mind. She'd rather throw herself into dangerous situations if it means getting some kind of answers- than remain like this, and it's not like she's going to sit around and do nothing while she allows her siblings to hunt for answers, so she hopes he doesn't expect her to suddenly take a back seat because she's mortal. It's not going to happen. She's aware she's uniquely vulnerable now, more so than even Freya. She doesn't care. However, she's smart enough not to voice this, knowing that Finn likely wouldn't appreciate where her mind was at. She'd needed time to re-group, to rest, and now she had, she needed to get back out there, to figure out what was going on. Blinking, she realizes Finn is talking to her again and she glances over at him patiently as he speaks before sighing heavily. " Kind of. " she agrees, " I was never looking for a way to turn back per say, I'm not sure if it's possible but I had a friend. Figured if anyone knew it would be her. . . " lips twist uncomfortably. " She wasn't too happy to see me. " tone is bitter as she speaks of her old friend. Truly she should have expected no less but it still stings. She pauses for a moment before her gaze drags to him, voicing her thoughts somewhat reluctantly. " I would appreciate if we could at-least try to keep this quiet from the others for the time being. . . just until we have more answers. " because truly she doesn't want to deal with Nik demanding answers she doesn't have or using her vulnerability against her, because while she loves him even when she hates him, she doesn't trust him, and she doesn't trust the others to keep it from him. She just hopes Freya had listened to her when she'd said as such to her.

He does notice the crack in her exterior and it deflates whatever is left of his will to ask difficult questions. "Fine, I get that" he comments on the explanation of her actions. He reaches out, pretty much feeling the resistance radiating from her and ignoring it. His hand briefly squeezes her knee before he breaks contact and sits back again. Knowing full well he was pushing the limits with that interaction in the first place.

"However, you fail to consider your safety is important too. Perhaps even more so, at least to me." She was human, it didn't take much to end a human. Yes, she was a witch too, but that did not change her mortality. She was not safer away from them, he just didn't believe that. Starting an argument over it though? No thanks, it would bring neither of them anything positive, so why bother at all? "I'm just glad you're back, even if you did not want to return like this."

He sighs and tries to summarize what he got from all this, not to spite her, but to get the facts straight. "So, you were turned human but you do not know how or why. You tried to find help to turn back, but it backfired and you still have no idea if you can turn back. To top it off, you got into a fight with some witches, who may or may not be involved with this whole mess. Am I saying that right?"

I think imma keep all my blogs low key for a lil while??? And just... Write what I write when I write it and when I'm in the mood. That does mean threads with friends/people I'm comfortable with are gonna get replied to 10x quicker.

My brain is a dick recently and the ANXIETY is insane. The imposter syndrome is sky high. And I hate feeling shitty about my muses and my writing so I'm prioritising threads with people I write with frequently and feel comfortable with. The people who are always super excited to write with me.

I'm still gonna write with other people too just slower for the time being! For the sake of my sanity. Writing should be fun and currently it's just giving me anxiety even when I'm excited for shit. The whole 'not wanting to be perceived' is def part of it too 😅 don't ask me why my brain does this bc idk since at the same time I've been dying to write for the past week.

Big sigh. I'm also just... Getting much more responsibility at work recently and I have my final exam coming up in June too that's a pretty big deal! If I pass I go on the register and become officially qualified!!!! After four years 🥺 so yeah also just alot of pressure ooc rn which may be contributing.

Everything happens so fast, it's a blur of movements and events. One minute she's watching her friend as she feeds, fighting her own urges to dig into the girl's neck, and the next. . . an assailant hovers over her, wood piercing her friend's chest. She reacts in an instant, speeding forward in a blur of motion and knocking the assailant backwards, probably taking him by surprise. Panic rises, azure hues widening as she sees the blonde's blood.

Her arms are around her friends in an instant, holding her arm's length as she assesses the extent of the damage, the assailant already forgotten in her panic. . . for now. She doesn't settle until she's lifted the girl's shirt and seen for herself the already healing wound. To her credit, Raven doesn't bother to fight her, knowing it's useless, instead giving her the usual comforting smile she does whenever the girl is being a worrying hen. All of this happens in a split second before she's whirling back around on the assailant, hiss escaping her lips as rage takes hold, veins protruding under her eyes. " Touch her again and I personally promise you won't live to regret it. " there's a pause then, protective stance turning to one of shock, and confusion. Of--course she'd heard the rumours but she'd never believed them. Gaze flickers over her brother in silence for a moment, never letting either him or the blonde out her sight. She backs up, closer to Raven now, gaze once again flicking over her to ensure she's truly come to no harm. " Finn? " she questions, tone hard, because she can't be thankful to see her brother after so long when he'd just tried to kill her progeny, her friend.
