your post about the cock sizes of these characters portrays a lack of understanding of their role in the narrative.

the cultural object of the black hole is kind of remarkable. It's almost an anti-God in a sense, a negative infinity. Yeah there's this kind of dead sun that's collapsed into an infinitely dense point, and if you fall past its event horizon you're fucked. Every schoolchild knows this. A black hole can be introduced in a superhero blockbuster without any explanation except for its established look and the name "black hole", and this will be understood as the ultimate natural disaster, which even superman could not hope to defeat. truly S-tier cosmic object

theo van gogh was the one who suggested that his older brother vincent start seriously painting. as soon as theo was gainfully employed he gave vincent around 15% of his own yearly salary for art supplies, lodging, and food. about 2/3rds of vincent's surviving letters were to theo (including vincent's earliest and last letters), all of which were found stored in theo's desk. theo's child, vincent willem, was born on january 31st, 1890, and vincent was so delighted by his nephew that he painted almond blossoms for him. vincent shot himself half a year later on july 29th, 1890. theo's distress at his brother's death worsened his syphilis symptoms and he died half a year after his brother on january 25th, 1891 (four days before vincent willem's first birthday). theo was reburied next to vincent in auvers-sur-oise at the request of theo's wife johanna.
#crying rn#i’ve always loved that painting (it’s literally my phone case) i didn’t know the story behind it :(((((

actually the worst thing to come out of emerald fennell's butchering of wuthering heights is that we have scores of white people insisting that actually heathcliff isn't a person of color and that he's instead just someone with dark hair and dark eyes or white irish or something as if it's not on page 3 (or page 10 depending on the version you own) that heathcliff is described as "dark skinned [racial slur]" and as if he wasn't found in liverpool, THE largest slave trading port at the time wuthering heights takes place. oh right wait i forgot these people don't read
#like this is the thing. i think there is something to be said for dark =/= nonwhite as a descriptor in this time#(example: i had a teacher who insisted that tolkien was not racist at all. because sam/other hobbits were described#as brown skinned. and that meant they weren’t white.#and like. headcanon what you want. but thinking that’s tolkien’s actual intent is CRAZYYYYY.)#BUT THAT’S NOT FUCKING HEATHCLIFFFFFF#THAT MAN COULD NOT MORE TEXTUALLY BE NONWHITE#ITS FUCKING EVERYWHERE. HIGHLY RELEVANT TO THE NARRATIVE#WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE#<- all of this coming from someone who doesn’t actually like or care about wuthering heights#i read it closer /because/ i hated it actually <3
