Cool. Cool cool cool.

I just found out yesterday that I'm going to need $300 by July first because my car insurance went up. There's a possibility I might be able to change and get something cheaper, but no guarantee so uh.

It feels like a lot, and with my car down for repairs it's not likely I can get a job on short notice to earn some money by then, but if half of you donated a dollar I'd be there. Anything helps.

Someone claps a hand on Barney's shoulder, startling him into almost dropping his drink.

Early. There's not a clock in here but if I had to guess around 7 or 8 in the morning.

He purses his lips, rubbing his fingers together as he thinks.

It wasn't long after I... Woke up, I guess would be the best way to put it. That's what Shepard calls it at least. But I was being chased by the metrocops, ended up in a run down apartment building. She was there.

He pauses again, thinking for a bit longer.

In order to get me out she decided to fake my death, I suppose, and did a very good job of it. It's not very pleasant to think about.

hey Barney, if Gip is a lizard does that mean she sheds like one?

"Yeah. Every year, about this time. Itchy as hell apparently, but Shep figured out a way to tan the sheds so he can use it like leather for things. Which is great since she's damn near bulletproof, it's basically free armor."

Gip yawns before finally lying down, head resting on her forelimbs. The hum of activity as the base awakens is a soft background noise for her to drift off to sleep to.
