I finally decided to continue the angler-swan project. I actually made pretty good progress today.

[Image ID: Four pictures; the first one depicts six goldish stands that will be used in the fins. The second shows the jagged maw half sewn onto the lower white fabric that makes up most of the lower jaw. The fabric is completely attached in image 3.
Image the fourth shows the workspace. The jaw bits are in the lower left, above them are spools of thread, a bit of the goldish fabric and a pincushion. Next to these are a couple of cookbooks holding up the clip on lamp with my turtleduck on top. End ID]
Most of what I did today related to the white fabric; giving it a hem and attaching it to the mouth. But I also started on the gills.

It's just a piece of fabric that's been folded over itself and pinned in place, but hopefully will get it sewn in place soon.

Day 1 of the AnglerSwan plushie. These may all be cosmetic and minor detail, but they are useful to me for scaling purposes. The singular whisker that is correctly sewn and inverted took AN HOUR to invert.
The next ones will be sewn closer to the edge.
[id: A table top with some useless junk in the top-right corner. Arrayed on the clear part are two green eyes made of dark green and black felt with a white thread dot. Below it is a black felt mouth with white felt teeth. The teeth look needle sharp. The fabric is arranged to show the backside of the other half of the fabric. Beside the eyes and mouth are three strips of dark gold fabric. The leftmost had been sewn and inverted, making it the perfect whisker. The other two have just been pinned in place and are awaiting sewing. The creator assures viewers that there are three more whiskers waiting to be pinned. End id.]

Starting a new project! Second plushie, this time of the Sweetwater Anglerfish (or as I like to call it, the AnglerSwan).
This animal will be used on the cover of the charity coloring book Li’s Book of Friends created by @muffinlance. At least, the animal will, maybe not the illustration. Credit for the drawing goes to @titanic-ente and credit for the illustration goes to @trans-mando. (I wanted a white neck, tho...)
I’ll do my best to keep this updated every day I work on it.

I was inspired by @muffinlance to make a plushie, so I made a turtleduck cause why not. It was my first time making something like this, especially cause I hand-stitched the whole thing.
I learned a lot, and am thinking of making an angler-swan next.
[id: Two Photographs. The first shows a plush turtleduck with a floofy white head and tail and a brown shell. It has a black button for an eye, a green felt beak, and is sitting on a bag of polyester stuffing. 10/10 hugable.
The second photo shows a headless turtleduck sitting on a green tablecloth. The flippers are much more visible in this photo, as is the shell pattern. End id.]

A few pics I made based off of the purple-pink sketches. The first comes from my own personal headcanon (that I may or may not write) where Ozai is actually a nice person. The second is half-canon. The third is a mixture of @muffinlance‘s ‘Zuko is adopted by Vaatu’ on her tumblr and Seraphim_of_Dragons (orphan_account)’s stories on AO3. There was no definitive description of how Vaatu’s human vessel looked in that story, so I took some creative liberties and made him look like Satan/Rinka from Blue Exorcist (see B&W reference pic).
